Positive review for Joy Bungalow and the staff on Koh Jum, Thailand: My stay at Joy Bungalow on Koh Jum was absolutely amazing! This place is a true paradise for anyone looking to relax and immerse themselves in nature. The bungalows are simple but very cozy and clean, nestled in a beautiful tropical setting. The soothing sound of the ocean, the stunning beachfront location, and the untouched natural surroundings create the perfect atmosphere to unwind. The real highlight, however, was the staff! Every single person was incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful. From the moment you arrive, you feel like part of the family. The team went above and beyond to make sure every wish was fulfilled, turning the stay into something truly special. The food at the restaurant was also exceptional! Freshly prepared Thai dishes and seafood – an absolute delight. I can wholeheartedly recommend Joy Bungalow and am already looking forward to returning. A huge thank you to the entire team for making this an unforgettable experience!

The food was good, staff lovely, incredible location, nice vibe.

Generally feels overpriced. Check if your breakfast is included! There’s no prices on the breakfast menu so we assumed ours was included, and had a surprising bill at the end. Some rooms are tiny for what you pay. But it’s such a great spot that we’ll likely go back, despite our gripes.

The food in the hotel's restaurant is absolutely amazing. Every single meal we tried was outstanding. The best restaurant I have been to in Thailand, so far. The staff is super friendly, everyone was super welcoming. The bar has got a lovely vibe, and the cocktails are super fresh and delicious. If you want a quiet, relaxed beach, and outstanding Thai food, this is the place to be.

If you are looking for a younger crowd, it's probably not the place to be. Lots of guests just left towels and their stuff on a chair to claim it's their chair all day long.

Great location, nice sunset every night in front of your room door, swimming in front of Joy is always possible, good breakfast (if you are not too hungry)

Bed very (very) hard, english skills of staff to be improved, no key to open room door (always open for everyone), you hear every move/sound from on top very loud (1st floor bungalow is recommended), way to the place is very sandy and bumpy

Good location, awesome beach bar and bar tender; Nice restaurant on site, good food but small portions for relatively high prices. Paddleboard and games for free to use which was nice. Mopeds on site for rent. Manager was accommodating and helped to resolve some issues we had.

For paying over $50/night in Thailand I would expect hot water and WiFi in the rooms. Showers were cold, WiFi only in the restaurant which was disappointing.

Excellent location, great breakfast and lovely beachfront

Suggest they move to a buffet style breakfast - the current ordering method is very slow. Beachfront needs more regular cleaning- lot of tide delivered debris.

Joy is a little perl on Koh Jum! Were should I start. Staff sweet, helpfull, caring, makes you feel like home. Amazing surroundings, jungle and beach vibe. Good food.

This is an authentic place, small animals can appear. For my family and I it didnt meant a single thing, we was not scared or bothered about it.

I loved the little bungalows and how lovely the staff was. They were so kind to the kids and couldn’t do enough to make us happy. Quaint bungalows on a beautiful beach. The restaurant overlooked the sea and nicely lit in the evening

Very nice location, helpful staff, wonderful atmosphere. Clean room and facilities. Close to town and boat pier, cozy and quiet. We loved the overall vibe of the place.
