We loved the view, the comfortable bed, the heartfelt greeting and the terace.

Our toilet didn‘t properly flush and the pictures didn‘t match the reality of the bungalows. They are comfortable and overall enough, but not as beautiful as the pictures. Also the location ist very remote.

Beautiful view, felt very in nature and undisturbed by the chaos of the centre. You can hear the sea and feel at one. The staff were very kind and helpful and the pancakes were delicious!

It would be good to install anti repellent for bugs. Of course we are in nature but it meant after 6pm we had to sit inside. I think this is the perfect location for people who are really looking for some isolation and a break from the centre but if you are young then please bare in mind you will have to get a taxi or get comfortable with driving a bike to and from the location which is very daunting if you don’t have experience. Otherwise, if peace and quiet is what you want then perfect. Just make sure to bring water and food as it’s quite far from local restaurants.

Wow! What a place! Highly highly recommend this gem. It was stunning with gorgeous views of the sunrise over the ocean. So peaceful at night, you could hear the waves of the sea. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, in fact they were our taxi service for the majority of our stay too as we haven’t driven mopeds before. This is on the other side of the island to the main areas so it does make sense to hire a moped and drive yourself around if you have the experience. The taxi service they provided was very well priced, other local taxis charge more and they’re pretty tough on the price! The rooms are very basic, but for the price and the location you can’t beat it! It’s very authentic and part of the fun. Aircon worked well, WiFi wasn’t the best but didn’t bother us.

A few hooks to hang towels in the bathroom would have been great, and maybe a hand towel too and some hand soap :) otherwise it was wonderful.

Booked this gem last minute. The bungalows I stayed at were jaw dropping! The view of the waves , rocks, horizon and sunset were beyond my expectations. The first bungalow I stayed at was nearly on a cliff that overlooked the ocean. It had an artistic flare. The bathroom was like something you would get in a Hollywood movie. An experience about truly being in/among nature. The second bungalow was higher up so the view was EXPANSIVE, and the bathroom was incredible! I don't know who designed this bathroom (it was outdoors), but it was unique (in a good way). The staff were nice. Laundry on site. It is owned and operated by family. SO much potential here. I really enjoyed talking to the young adults of the business. I wish them the best of the best. This place is MAGICAL! One more thing to add is the walkway going down to the rocky coast. WOW! VERY REWARDING AND ADVENTUROUS! I hope I get the opportunity to stay here again! I could not believe that I was able to book this place last minute! Stop by and you will see what I mean.

This place has so much potential and the bungalows I stayed at were RANTASTIC! However, there were other bungalows on site that were in disrepair. It was hard to see, because those views were equally breathtaking. I wish I could help them build this place to what the FATHER wants it to be, but the stars did not align this time! Sending positive vibes your way!

Access to restaurants and more busier parts of the islands can be done by taxi or scooters

Leaving it

The view was amazing. My original hotel was on the big party beach on the west side of the island. I really craved some peace and quiet. Moondace was a very welcome moment of peace and quiet in my travels. I would come back in an instant.

Ideally you would need a motorbike to stay here. I do not drive one. But the staff was very very nice and taxied me around. The taxi experience was great, but because I did not drive motorbike I felt a little dependent for them to take care of my transportation.

Awesome location. Have to climb but amazing view from your own terrace at the immense sea.🌊 Scooters for rent. You need them, if you want to get anywhere from here. Staff can arrange taxi for you. Fair price.

Reception is quite a walk down (and up again), breakfast not really worth the money. The place “restaurant/small terrace) consist of a some Simple self made wooden tables where you can eat breakfast or drink your beer. The view = amazing!!

the views and organisation on the staff’s behalf is amazing. We got picked up from the Pier, taken to reception to pay and then driven to our accommodation. the man carried our luggage and was very lovely. The moped that we hired brakes stopped working and he drove out and bought us a new scooter, no problem. Even made sure someone was available to take us back to the pier for departure. highly recommend. the views are incredible. I’m from Australia and I was even a bit scared of the lizards but so worth it. don’t forget mosquito spray

Can’t really Fault it.

That is a secret for those who hate steep cliffs, rock climbing, outdoor fitness, yoga and meditation, spicy Thai food, a-lot of stairs, rocky (beach) pier, water. Driving a motorbike. Having nothing to after 8 o’clock at the resort. If you do not love all I mentioned just stay away! But for those who love adventures and love my description. Get your ass over here and book a week. 🤗

Too much magic

The view is absolutely stunning, the photos don’t lie. It might depend on the bungalow though. I suggest waking early to enjoy the sunrise. The location is also great if you like something a bit remote, because it’s quiet. This means a small scooter ride in the jungle, but personally I love it. Room and bathroom were clean and in good shape. Geckos can come and visit the bathroom but the host warned us about this, and they don’t come in the bedroom if you keep the door close as instructed. Also they’re harmless and kind of cute imo, but if you’re afraid of animals maybe that’s not the place for you. There are occasional ants, tamias, birds and crabs in the area.

There was no hanging device so you have to be creative for your towels and wet clothes. The scooter they rented to us didn’t have a license plate. That wasn’t an issue because we didn’t get arrested, but it would bring some piece of mind to have one. 99% of the scooters in Koh Tao have a license plate. Bed was a little hard, like most beds in Thailand. My partner got sick after eating at the restaurant, but I didn’t, so not sure how responsible the food was
