The staff is very friendly and helpful, mostly at the restaurant. They are happy to help you at any moment and for the breakfast you can order as much as you like. The view is stunning, both from the restaurant/swimming pool as from the room. I wish I stayed more than one night!

You can only reach the hotel by taxi (they can arrange one for you) or by motor bike. The roads are steep and curvy. That’s how you get to the beautiful view of course, but good to take this into account. There are also a lot of mosquitos (as everywhere on the island), but they have taken good measures for it.

We spent 7 nights at Ecotao and left today very sad to leave our little piece of paradise. On day one we arrived after a pretty exhausting and hot trip on the ferry. But once we arrived at the resort we were met by the manager, Nat who welcomed us with a beautiful smile, cool drink and we knew we were where we needed to be. Nat made the check in process easy and personally ushered us to our room. We were given so many ideas of where to visit, what to eat, what to look out for and and and. Every morning we had a delicious fresh breakfast prepared for us, going to miss those banana pancakes! The staff at the resort were so diligent, attentive, friendly, humble and authentic. I would love to name each but sadly we didn’t get everyone’s name. Khola and Wei that worked behind the bar made us the best Lattes in the morning and delicious cocktails during the day. Both young men were such a treat to get to know. Elaine was the manager that tag teamed with Nat and was so lovely. Giving us great diving and snorkelling tips! The resort is well located, far enough from the chaos of Mae Haad and Sairee beach but close enough to jump on a 3 min scooter ride to the restaurants and shops. Our room was clean, had the amenities we needed but best of all had the most amazing view. The atmosphere at the resort is calm, relaxing and truly makes you feel like you have left your cares behind. Thank you to the beautiful team at Ecotao for making our week on Koh Tao just superb!

The only recommendation I have is to keep some ear plugs as once or twice a month there is a jungle party. So if you not keen to join the party, pop in the ear plugs.

Beautiful villa, especially number 10, 11 and 12, beautiful sea view, big balcony with sofa and lounge chairs, room is equipped with mosquito screen doors, we could even sleep with open doors at night! Wonderful, very helpful staff members, dealt perfectly with every request we had! Nice dining area, beautiful pool, great variety for breakfast!

The infinity pool is fabulous overlooking the coconut trees and beautiful bay. Rooms are charming, minimal and rustic. Lovely bathroom with hot shower and gorgeous views. Freshly ground coffee and filters in the room were a nice touch! The breakfast is excellent - all you can eat! I’d recommend the banana pancakes! Restaurant food is super- we tried a variety of dishes which were exceptional. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved the quiet location - We hired motorbikes to get in and out of town - necessary If you want to explore the island.

Internet was hit and miss but that didn’t bother us at all.

We chose this place across the many options in Koh Tao for the good reviews and the nice pictures. Honestly, everything was truly amazing: the only regret is that we spent just 2 nights in this wonderful paradise. Starting from a warm welcome from the staff, who gave us plenty of advices on where to go and how to move in the island (they have a taxi and a scooter rental service that work very well), plus free snorkeling masks that we used in the beautiful Tanote bay (20’ walk from the Lodge). Also the room, the pool and the restaurant / cocktail bar were really great: we decided to spent both nights at the Lodge since everything was so comfortable and the food so good :) a huge thank you to everybody managing this place, you are really doing and excellent work! I hope to be back one day!

Peaceful setting, good size rooms with a great view! We loved the breakfast that was included- it was defiantly the best breakfast included with our stay that we have had during our time in Thailand. The staff were friendly and professional at all times. The pool was very clean and the hammock on our balcony was a lovely touch! The room itself is very nice and had everything you would need!

This place due to its beautiful location is an absolute hotspot for mosquitos which is no fault of the hotel it's self, but I was bitten a considerable amount and had to go to the hospital which meant I was not able to leave the room for a few days! But staff at the restaurant- in particular a gentleman from Burma (did not catch his name sadly) was very helpful :) We could also hear our neighbours through the bathroom as if we were in the same room but this did not bother us as we just shut the door!

We had the most amazing stay at Ecotao Lodge. The views were honestly spectacular, the food in the restaurant was delicious, breakfast was also great. A real highlight was the staff, Camille and the barman (I can't remember his name apologies!) were honestly so helpful, kind and a true credit to the lodge.

It is quite inaccessible from the main areas of the island if you don't have a bike, which we didn't, however the lodge offers a free shuttle to drop down to the pier, and collect that evening. This was so useful! Taxi was also very available for evenings going into the main areas.

Cami who worked there was wonderful - she was so kind and welcoming and really went out of her way to help us - we got sick (not from here) and she made us feel cared for and safe, helping us to do research into our travel options etc. The lodge itself is beautiful and the views are incredible! The cocktails were also amazing - some of the best we've had during out time in Thailand and the bartender making them was really lovely.

I just thought it was a little overpriced for the facilities/furnishing of the rooms. The location was beautiful and the rooms were very lovely and clean, but it was the most expensive of all of our accomodations in Thailand by a long mile. Its more the pricerange you'd pay in Europe

The staff was friendly, and the manager was helpful and understanding. The hotel has a romantic setting because it's a small hotel and everything feels personal. The view from the room and the pool is beautiful. The food was delicious, with plenty of choices. Near the hotel (20 min.) there is a beautiful beach called Tanote Bay. A very beautiful spot for snorkeling!

Koh Tao Island has many elevation changes, so to reach the hotel or to go on excursions you always need a scooter or taxi.

Cami, Nat, and Nine were fabulous. You could not find better hosts. The guests were incredibly friendly, and the whole dynamic people wise was the best. The rooms were great, and the bed, pillows, and black out curtains made for good sleeps. The pool was superb, and the meals delicious. We snorkled with Oxygen charters, and they were extraordinarily friendly, and well organized. The roads are narrow and steep, so if you don't ride motor bikes, it's 300 Baht each way to the beaches.

Wifi came and went randomly.
