Our stay at Villa Sunset was absolutely magical. The views from the terrace were breathtaking – every sunset felt like it came straight from a postcard. The villa was clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped, perfect for a romantic and peaceful getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful – we could rent scooters directly at the reception, which made getting around the island much easier (especially after we gave up on walking up the steep hill after 3 days!). Another plus was the option to order food from a restaurant with delivery – delicious food and fast service. During our stay, we were lucky enough to be visited by a local Thai gecko, who made an appearance twice. According to Thai proverbs, when a gecko calls out seven times, it brings good luck. So we’re hoping that means even more good fortune for us! If you’re looking for a place with privacy, amazing vibes, and unforgettable views, this is the spot. We’d happily return!

There Is Nothing we did not like !

WHAT A LUXURY VACATION! From the moment you arrive you are welcomed with smiles and helpful hands. The place is an absolute fantasy 🤩 private, luxurious…views you literally dream of. The place is also very well stocked—great kitchen, larger fridge with reasonably priced mini bar items and a SLUE of restaurant menus that deliver! They go through property details with you, the book they provide is thoughtful and detailed. The resort is quick to respond and quick to help! TV is large and comes with a google play, so you can download app. AC works well. Couch is big and inviting. Comfy bed. Big bathroom. Not a bad thing to say!!! 100/10 and we will be back!!!

The road up, like everyone said, is wild…it’s NOT a deterrent or negative thing—but should absolutely be taken seriously!! I suggest using THEIR taxi service (it’s much cheaper anyway!!) and schedule a pick up/drop off with the hotel, cause those drivers are familiar with location and road! I do NOT suggest a normal taxi from the ferry, reach out to the villas and they will help you!

The villa was exactly like the photos, the staff very helpful and easy to contact via WhatsApp. There were many menus from local places that deliver to your door and the kitchen is well equipped with plates, glasses, cutlery etc. there's even a Moka pot, along with ground coffee, tea bags etc. The AC works well and the giant ceiling fans work well too. The bed was really big with proper hotel quality sheets and pillows.

The hills to get up to the villa were very steep, unless you're an experienced rider, do not attempt it with a motorbike, that being said, as long as you have good balance, just give it as much throttle as needed & lean forward on the way up then stay off the front brake on the way down and it's easy.

Absolutely stunning property with spectacular views over the island and the ocean beyond. Really nice, modern interiors, and complete seclusion and privacy from the other villas. It’s also very easy to walk down to Sairee beach and reach any restaurants, snorkelling or diving facilities.

The main downside is the taxi system, which is hard to avoid as the whole island has incredibly hiked taxi charges, but it typically costs ~250/350 baht to get back from Sairee beach, and around double to get back from the other side of the island. The hotel does provide the contacts of some really nice taxi drivers, though, with better rates than found elsewhere. There is also a bit of an ant issue, as they can sometimes work their way into towels, dressing gowns, bags and bedsheets, but this is hard to avoid in the jungle.

We stayed for 6 nights with a 1.5 yo kid. Our obvious likes: + private pool + view + separate bedroom + staff always helpful via WhatsApp + everything is clean, beautiful villa Our hopefully helpful likes/info for others: + road is crazy steep but still manageable even with a stroller (remember you can instantly use your pool when arriving at the top ;)) + there is a helpful manual with all kinds of restaurants that deliver food to the villa. No extra charge for delivery so you pay the same prices as in the restaurants. Delivery always smooth within 20-30 minutes max, also for breakfast. + the villa offers a taxi service with reasonable prices (although Ko Tao standards are higher). 250 Baht to Sairee area. + scooters can be rented directly at the property - so no need to find one somewhere else. + contrary to other comments: mosquitos absolutely manageable, not more than in Sairee. No snakes or whatever, just some cute geckos!

- bed rather uncomfortable (hard mattresses) - staff hung around directly in front and below our villa (Villa infinity) which seems unnecessary. It’s fine if are not busy but please be not busy somewhere else ;) Overall, we highly recommend staying here (even and especially with kid(s))! Should we come back to Koh Tao, we will stay here!

It was a beautiful villa , amazing views. The roads up to the villa were extremely steep. Taxis are needed to get down to the restaurants and beach. or you can hire a moped, not for the faint hearted! but we managed it xx The staff are always on hand during the day and organised transfers washing etc when needed. It’s a beautiful island to explore

The view from the pool was amazing, which you also get from the bedroom.

There was concrete that holds the tiles in place was crumbling and there was small pieces in the pool. Also the glass around the pool could be privacy glass - if people are driving up the hill they can see you at the pool. The old fruit that’s fallen from the trees should be cleaned daily as it leave an unpleasant smell.

The most gorgeous view over Koh Tao! We loved everything about this property. If we didn’t have pre booked accommodation in Koh Phangan we definitely would have extended our stay!

The hill is super steep to get to the villa especially if you’re in the very top one. Our bike couldn’t make it up the steep hills so we did have to take the steps. We were puffed out but honestly was worth it for the view! Would not recommend if you are not fit and able to walk up 100 (ish) steep steps.

Very pretty pool villa with one of the best views on Koh Tao. The villa is modern and well maintained, with a large living room and kitchen together with a large bathroom and bedroom. Both the living room and the bedroom are facing the pool as well as the view. The bathroom provides a large shower and double sink. The living room is well-equipped with a smart TV, large sofa and speaker set for music streaming. The kitchen provides some complimentary drinks as well as a minibar. The surroundings are very quiet and you feel like you are staying in the jungle. The hosts are very kind and helpful with answering questions or giving you tips. The villa is also cleaned every day. We very much enjoyed our stay!

As said by others the villa is located on a hill and can only be accessed through a VERY steep climb. You are completely dependent on a taxi service (with pretty high prices for Thai standards) or a scooter (which we would not recommend since driving on Koh Tao is dangerous and the scooters are all 150cc motorcycles). It is also possible to walk to Sairee Beach - the walk down will take about 15 mins, the way back up about 20 (but the walk will be a challenge if you are not fit). Moreover, the villa is equipped with 2 AC units which are located in the bedroom and the livingroom. Due to the poor electrical network on the island, only 1 of them can be used at the same time. This makes you choose between a cool living area of a cool bedroom.

The villa is gorgeous and exactly as per the photos. We loved how private it felt and the pool was perfect. The views were stunning and it was amazing to have such a great view.

The air conditioning was slightly temperamental. The remote didn't always register so it was difficult to change the settings. You could also only have the bedroom or lounge one on at any time which meant one of these rooms was always boiling until you got the ac going. The bathroom was also boiling, we were sweating after getting out of the shower. But I guess it's difficult to get a perfect temperature when the outside is close to 40 degrees!
