Comfortable room with a balcony and very nice pool with scenic views! Bigger resort than we expected so quite a walk to our hotel room from the reception - they have a buggie that sometimes takes you up the hill (it can be hilly and depending where your roomIs, crosses a busy road). It had a well equipped gym with a lovely view of the sunset, however you did have to pay to use it… 150 thb per use. It also has a shop on the resort which was useful!

Breakfast was very underwhelming - you pick your food from a set menu which was an ok selection but the quality of the food just wasn’t the best. It was rushed, and greasy. We skipped it one day to go elsewhere. If you’re not looking to go diving, I wouldn’t really recommend, as that is what it specialises in and there may be smaller hotels / more affordable hotels that offer what you need.

the location is for me one of the best on the island, if you like to be in the center where the heart is beating. shiny happy people, the most active and walkable beach is, with the most beautiful sunset. the restaurant is amazing and the stuff top motivated on every point of …..

l don’t care, but the hotel started at the beach an goes up hill over min. 800 meter. even if the have shuttle, it’s better if you are good on walking. the gym is fantastic, only open till 11:00 in the morning and again after 17:00 and has extra cost of 150,- bth

Beautiful place that has great breakfast and pools, clean rooms and nice staff. Located right on the Sairee beach and very easy to get to anywhere.

The property is located on a hill so not suitable for people who have trouble walking.

Loved everything about Bans, super accommodating and friendly staff who are always happy to help, so many facilities (pool, gym, restaurant with live music, laundry and bike rental), free shuttle to and from ferry port and around the site (the place is huge!) We booked our open water and advanced diving course with Bans and it was such a great experience! The best and one of the oldest established diving companies on the island- Knowledgeable instructors and great diving sites selections. We stayed across 2 rooms, the standard double and the jungle double, both were great but especially enjoyed the jungle double as it had a more private pool and secluded area (+ I got proposed to on Bans). We would highly recommend this place!

Nothing at all everything was perfect!

Hillside Garden View room had amazing views and sunsets each night from our balcony. Golf carts to transfer us up the hills was good. Pools are nice and deep. We didn't go there to dive and never felt pressured to do so.

Breakfast was hit and miss with the already cooked food but we altered what we were having and had no issues.

It exceeded my expectations. Lovely and comfortable stay. The resort had a wide setup, and is more like a little village with four pools, fitness, various housing areas and beautiful gardens allround. The first part is located near the beach and you cross a little street to get to the upper part where we stayed. As a result we had great views over the ocean and enjoyed nice sunsets. Room itself was spacious clean, great bed, quiet, very nice. Although it is in the hillside, this was not problem since they offer transport via golf carts, amazing and fun for our daughter. Pools were very nice, and the beach as well. Lovely restaurant, breakfast included offered great choice and a terrace overlooking the beach. The food in the evening was good as well. Just lovely sitting with your feet in the sand while kids play in the ocean. Great sunsets. Nearby a lot of shops and restaurants, dining in the beach. For this price we had a lovely stay. Highly recommended. Don't forget to do a snorkel tour.

Really everything! The resort is just perfect! -the staff was really nice, we booked two different rooms and they upgraded one of the rooms as a gesture. -This is the best location! The resort is connected to the Main Street with tons of options of everything. And also connected to the hotel’s restaurant which is on the beach. -large, clean and quiet rooms with a nearby swimming pool and coffee shop.

The resort is really big so it might take time to cross it for the more distant area that we stayed in. However the hotel does offer a toktok to drive you in a part of it.

The room was a bit dirty.

Unobtrusive and friendly staff, beautifully maintained gardens and swimming pools. The room was comfy too and included a mini bar, safe and TV. The resort feels like a mini village and the place feels well organized. There are shops, restaurants and massage places within 5 mins walk nearby. Our room was cleaned daily. A nice extra touch was the canvas bag and plastic free bag which we used all the time for carrying our stuff. We stayed in the Plantation building which has a big swimming pool inside. Loved it!

-Gym is extra (150 baht) -We stayed in a room in the Plantation building. Walls are thin and we could hear our noisy neighbors. Luckily its not a party vibe building so people were mostly quiet after 11pm. -Breakfast was okay. The coffee was quite terrible though! Better coffee would make a difference!

Bans is the biggest hotel on the island with the biggest diving resort in the area. The staff are nice and welcoming. I booked a dorm room and upon arrival upgraded to a private room. Because this is a diving resort there are basic rooms that the diving course participants pay discounted fees for basic rooms. The shower is above the toilet in this type of room, the beds were comfy and there is AC. I upgraded to the better room, in a different area, quiter and newer building. This room was like a very nice western hotel room with all amenities, separate shower and lovely views. I extended my stay there and had a great time. The hotel has 5 pools and is located in a great place on the island. Would recommend Ban's

The more basic rooms need some touchups and deep cleaning of the bathrooms and showers.
