My husband and I spent two weeks at DD Hut in the Honeymoon Suite. We booked the room via Booking including breakfast. We had a very long journey of almost 24 hours and didn't know how to get to the hotel on the way to Koh Tao. After contacting the hotel via Booking to ask if there was a shuttle to the hotel, we were confirmed that we would be picked up even though the driver had already finished work. Our luggage was taken care of and we were taken to the hotel. Once there, we found the beautiful honeymoon decoration on the bed. The honeymoon suite itself is really breathtaking, you have a lot of space there and the view is unbeatable. It was always cleaned very well and the room was always very clean. The hotel has a very good location as it is very close to the tourist centre, but it is quiet here and you can't hear the noise from the restaurants or bars. We were able to this tourist centre and the rest of the island we explored by motorbike. There is a motorbike rental right at the hotel with a very nice employee. On departure, we were taken to the harbour free of charge. All in all, we were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back again if we come to Koh Tao again.

I only have one suggestion for improving breakfast: breakfast is exactly the same every day. You could add some variation here. Otherwise, everything was great here too.

The rooms and the pool were absolutely beautiful. The DD hut is by far the cutest hotel I have ever stayed in! The rooms were cleaned daily by the gorgeous staff members and the beds were really comfortable. The reception staff were so kind and really helped us out by booking a boat for us (that we thought was sold out!). The breakfast was also lovely and great to get included. We loved our stay in Dd hut, it’s a really special little hotel on a special little island. We also loved the hotel cat, we called him Oreo.

We liked everything!

The DD Hut is in a perfect location on the sea front but just far enough away from Sairee not to be noisy. The balcony was perfect with a sun lounger and table and chairs and wonderful sea views. The Seaview restaurant is excellent. The ambience is cosy and romantic. The food was excellent and there was some live music occassionally. The service was also very good. It is just a 10/15 minute walk into Sairee. You can walk along the beach or the path. There is a great atmoshere in the evenings as you walk in and some fabulous massage parlours on the seafront where you can spend a perfect hour having a leg massage whilst listening to the waves.

Very good experience. The location is excellent, you can walk anywhere (the port and Sairee Beach mainly, but there are also several places to eat a few meters away, and a small convenience store). The pool isn't big but it has an amazing view. Our room (the 3 single beds one on the ground floor facing the pool) was spacious, had everything we needed, and also a great view. The place was peaceful and quiet. It was cleaned every day in an efficient way (fast, and it seemed like staff waited for us to leave in order to avoid bothering us). The beds were too firm for us but we mentioned it to the reception and we got great mattress toppers immediately. A huge thank you to the staff who was amazing all the way and went the extra mile to send the earbuds I forgot to my next hotel 🙏 Nice snorkelling spot from the hotel beach, but mind the boats who come and go to pick up clients from the beach. Oh and... make sure you try the onsite restaurant 'Seaside'. I had the best fish of my life (seabass with mash potato and Spinach... it was so good I had it 4 nights in a row).

If I really have to say something, I'd say it would be nice to have the minibar refilled during the stay.

The lighthouse apartment is amazing! The private pool and swing seat are a godsend in the evening after a day’s diving or exploring. The property is perfectly located between diver’s city near the port and the quieter end of Sairee beach. There are plenty of great cafes, restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes walk either direction, without being in the middle of backpacker/student city at the far north of the beach. The staff are lovely, there is a scooter rental place directly outside and there is a free taxi offer back to the ferry on checkout.

The only trouble we had was finding reception when we first arrived. Look out for the ‘DD Huts’ sign on the opposite side of walking street to the villas. It’s on the highest part of the hill. Don’t go downhill again.

The Seaview room was excellent, pool area looking on to the sea and mountains. The staff where so nice and helpful. We wish we had stayed longer here. Very clean, great location, short walk to the main strip. Very quite and peaceful at the same time.

All was good, our hut was a little old school, but that gave it Charm. They also have newer huts available.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Specifically Tan on reception, extremely helpful and great customer service. We arrived late due to the ferry being delayed and the staff waited for us and welcomed us with a drink and flannel. Personally I think this hotel deserves more than 2 stars! We stayed in the Superior King Room, the bed was extremely comfy and the room offered everything we needed. Lovely seats outside too with a view of the pool. Very bright and in a great location. The restaurant at the bottom of the hotel path was also extremely good, would highly recommend this.

Nothing, loved it all. Great value for money

Such a beautiful accomodation, if I ever come back to Koh Tao I know I will be staying there! The room with the sea view was gorgeous and so comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly and constantly kept the place clean for us.

Not the property’s fault but there was construction going on right beside our room for a separate building and it would start quite early in the morning and continue all day so there was a bit of noise pollution but other than that our stay was perfect.

Centrally located between Mae Haad and Sairee beach. Room was spacious and clean, and having a private balcony to watch the sun set was great.

Our villa was V2, which despite being exactly as advertised with sun set views and private balcony, it was situated directly above and next to the independent restaurant’s kitchen that is on the hotel property. This resulted in there being a constant smell coming from the kitchen (mostly smelled like fried fish and fryer oil) that made it unpleasant to be outside and enjoy our villa’s balcony. Additionally, the restaurant staff was constantly right outside our villa smoking and/or on their phones which felt intrusive and distracting. Note that we did mentioned the staff issue to our hotel and they said they’d speak to the restaurant manager - it got slightly better from this point onwards but the staff were still a constant presence.

We loved Koh Tao! and our accommodation and people there made our stay! DD Hut had a very comfortable rooms, we enjoyed sea view in this very beautiful spot of the island. You might think it is just between the pier and the village…, however, it is the best view of the west coast and the best location because you are fast to the village (5 min walking) and the pier (10 min walking), you have a wonderful hotel reception that will help to organize each day at your best wish, you are fast and safe to restaurants and massage salons, Thai cooking course, any trips will fetch you from this hotel and bring you back. Even if you take a taxi, everybody knows this place and many know Pet:-) …Pet who takes care of every guest, who loves the island and tell you where to go, who will make sure you have a boat at the best price and just very friendly warm person welcoming you every morning:-) Our rooms were clean, cleaning every day, comfortable, very easy-going, any request is fulfilled. Beach towels are changed every day, you have a beach bag, free water bottles, tea/coffee as much as you like, fridge, bathroom with warm water. Place to seat outside, to dry the clothes. The restaurant Seaside is a very good one, don‘t miss it. They have delicious sea food, spicy local food if you like, cocktails, wines and all were so tasty! Seashell restaurant in the village is also to recommend, especially if you prefer EU food. We loved Freedom beach at windy days, it is like a tale, calm water, beautiful trees, restaurant, anything to relax you. The tour around island made our memories, turtles and sharks…we still watch our videos:-) If we are back to Koh Tao, then DD Hut and Heritage (neighbors) hotels will be our destination! Heritage hotel left unforgettable impressions… simply clean and beautiful and comfy. Thanks to Pet & the Team for the wonderful memories and unforgettable experience in Koh Tao!

Sometimes there was no hot water but it did not bother us as the „cold“ one is not et all so cold as at home:-)
