Great value for money hotel, nice views and perfect location half the way between Sairee beach and the Mae Haad pier!

The steps in the main pool are very rough to walk on, they need to be retiled.

The property is well located close to the pier (5 min walk on the beach). On the other side, 5 min from the famous Sairee beach strip. Yet the place is calm and relax vibe. Everyone is super respectful of this and you’ll leave feeling regenerated. The hotel was beautiful(might need a bit of love), with a great beach sitting in front. The view I believe is the best I saw around the island. Sunset are guaranteed. The food was incredible and authentic. Most of all, our stay was made special by the staff/team there. In particular, So was incredibly lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay special. I will remember our time there as the most special memory of Thailand/Koh Tao. I will definitely be back and stay at Regal.

We booked for one night and stayed for the whole week. The finer details of the hotel are not finished to European standard which I expect influences why the rating is a bit lower on booking sites. That having been said, we booked the big room with the beach view for an excellent price and it truly cannot be beat. The view was stunning and the room was massive. Floor to ceiling windows around the room. The bed was a bit tough but this is common for Thailand and we pulled the duvet out and put it under the sheet which made the bed more comfortable.

Great 3rd floor room with a balcony overlooking the sea. Very large room. Short walk along the beach to Mae Haad town. Very nice pool but sea better, cooler!

House cleaners pretty slack. Had to ask for replacement towels several times. Floor swept but marks not mopped. Toilet hose (bum gun!) leaking for several days before we complained and it was replaced with a new one. Breakfast food pretty ordinary, not worth the 200 baht. Reception staff (bar one) not overly friendly. Language problem?

We got a room upgrade to a sea view, so we had a very large room with a balcony overlooking the sea. We didn’t expect this but it was a welcome surprise. Very happy.

Cleanliness could be a bit better, housekeeping a bit lacklustre. There could be more beds around the pool and on the beach. The gym is also not in a working condition.

We saw so many bad reviews of this place, but honestly we don’t agree with them at all! The place was clean and lovely the pool was super big and with a beautiful view! It’s right by the ocean and 5min walk on the beach to the port and 10min walk to Sairee beach.

Good value for money, Nice beach front location with a decent clean pool. Walking distance from pier, and breakfast was basic, but good. Free water, good air con. Beds are ok. Staff are very friendly.

Nothing to dislike, but it does need a bit of maintenance and renovations to bring back the sparkle.

Good location. Great and bug room with icean view. To close to main location - pier, beaches, cafes and other places.

Not good WiFi connection. Sometimes it didn't work good. For breakfast they have only 3 options, don't have many choices and kind of fruits.

It was great location, just by the beach. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with balcony.

The bathroom was dark and outdated. Even though I'm sure it was clean, it didn't feel like it was because it was old.

Really good location (you can walk from the pier) and it's right on the beach. If you want to go a little further towards where more restaurants and bars, it's worth getting a scooter which you can rent from the pier or the hotel literally next to this one rents them out too. The hotel room is a little bit worn (as is nearly every hotel we've stayed in in Thailand this time around) but it's clean, balcony is lovely, breakfast included (choice of eggs, meat, fruit etc). Perfect really, just what we needed for our 3 night stay on Koh Tao!
