- we stayed as a family of 4. The room had one double bed and bunk bed. The space was massive for us. - the staff were so lovely - the location was ideal, close to the pier but far enough away to not be surrounded by people constantly - beds were very comfortable

We loved the hostel no negative comments. If I wished to be picky it would be one thing that cannot be changed. It would be better to have the fan in the middle of the room to be more effective for everyone. Saying this, it did not impact our stay at all.

Front desk lady is very lovely and welcoming, always had a big smile on her face everytime I saw her. Slept well, aircon works great without being too noisy. WiFi is fast. Even sometimes you can hear the music outside but it ends early so didn't affect my sleeping at all. Soundproof is not great you can hear people talking but everyone goes to sleep early here, still slept well. Great location, super convenient to go to the pier, and one day I walked to Sairee beach it's not as far as I imagined, if you like walking you can definitely walk there. Good value!

Bathroom light blinked when take shower, tv is not working in the room.

Great location walking distance from Mae Haad and the pier for arrival and next to a bike shop with nice bikes.l good price. Room was very well designed with everything you need and lots of shelves and places to hang clothes/towels etc. Smart TV was a nice treat for a day we were ill in the room!! Hot shower, friendly staff. Great price in low season (why we picked it).

Not much... Only water pressure and bathroom - but there are no natural water sources on Koh Tao so I think they are all like this. But the sink tap is so high, it always splashed water everywhere! Haha

We stayed as a family of four with two small children in the quadruple room. The beds were very comfortable, aircon worked perfectly, free water was provided at reception, the rooms were cleaned upon request, and laundry was done usually on the same day! The ladies running reception and also housekeeping were also super friendly and treated you like family. The location is great, close to restaurants and bars and the beach - all by foot. As a family, we preferred this area to the busyness of Sairee beach for sure.

The walls are quite thin, so bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.

After the 2 hour ferry crossing from Koh Samui we disembarked through complete chaos on the old wooden pier and out into the narrow streets of the town. Right turn to the first left and up the slope for about 150m to the Guesthouse. Perfect. We were booked in and shown up to our room, 20, on the first floor accessed via a staircase at the end of the ground floor corridor. We are the street end bar one room so saved any road noise if it exists. The room has a lounge area, a large, comfy double/king sized bed with a big internet TV on a unit at the base of the bed, Tea gear, a big fridge with shelves above and a hanging area with bars but no hangers. Maybe they are supplied upon request. Next was the bathroom with the loo opposite the door, a fancy shell like sink with pop up plug and the shower area. Strangely the shower is on the outer wall, where the water comes in through the outside wall rather than on the wall at the back of the cubicle. The whole room works and the shower does a good job but the room needs a good makeover. In the main area there are plenty of power sockets and wall lights as well as some funky lights in the lounge/bedroom divide The aircon worked well and was quiet. At the main building end of the communal corridor is a lounging area with a swing chair and likewise on ground floor. The staff were brilliant throughout our visit. All in all a great place to stay in a great location.

One point of note:- The metal stairs up to 1st floor have normal risers but the treads are short, front to back, so care needed coming down. There are gaps around the front door and I suggest you spray Deet into the gap gap between the door and frame to keep the mozzies out. The lights on the landing do not go off during the night so there is some seepage in to the room and it never gets pitch black.

The wifi was strong and reliable, great AC, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and very kind staff - if you wanted you room or bathroom cleaned you just needed to let them know and they’d do it same day.

Personally I loved the location because it was close to the pier and far enough from the main road and beach that it was quiet and peaceful at night. That being said we had a motorbike (that we rented from AVA) so all of the things we wanted to do were a 5 minute ride but if you dont plan on getting a bike it would be like a 30 minute walk.

It is located a 5-8 minute walk from the port. The rooms were very comfortable and the owners and staff were friendlier than any hostel I have encountered in the past 18 years in Tao. You might be lucky to find accommodation like this at this price. I am returning with full of good memories.

The air conditioner is a bit weak. Balcony doors need to be repaired to prevent insects from entering. The hammock on the balcony can easily tip over and there is a risk of falling to the first floor, so it is necessary to change the location or add a safety device.

Location was good near to the ferry piers. Only about a 15 minute walk to the action in Sairee beach and really close to anything you could want. Staff were lovely and helpful. Really good value for money. Room was clean and comfortable big fridge and water/ coffee provided.

Few complaints for this place. If I’m being picky the doors were a little awkward to lock and unlock and the shower wasn’t great but really wasn’t a big issue.

Nice staff. Near the city centre & the pier on Koh tao. For a couple of days, totally fine.

One recognises within seconds, that the accommodation is a bit older. In my view, the room was a bit too big. The bathroom couldn’t have been more clean. Door should have closed a bit better. Unfortunately we had ants, but thats a bit common on the island or even in Thailand itself.

You step out of the ferry basically into your room. So convenient. The bed was very comfortable and not rock hard like we’ve been having in Thailand and the balcony is so beautiful and green. I loved watching the birds and squirrels outside. The staff was also so so so kind and helpful and always made me feel welcome and safe. All in all great value and very much recommended.
