This hotel is amazing. I planned on staying 4 nights and extended my stay to 7 nights when I got there. The resort is clean, very nice, with magnificent view of the ocean and Shark bay (great for off-shore snorkeling). Rooms are spacious, spotless clean and the view is the best you can have - directly on the ocean, with nothing in front - cannot top that! Due to a location on the cliff, the resort isn't in the town, but by scooter, shuttle or taxi it is a quick 10-15min drive to the center. There are also many stairs, but again - cliff position, so it is unavoidable. Staff is very nice. Mr. Nice at the reception desk will make your stay into a dream one, by helping out with every question or request you may have. Breakfast is generous and also the meals at the restaurant are really tasty. The prices are a bit high (also at the pool), but nothing extraordinary. Spa - I went to a Thai massage 2x - first one was AWESOME, but the second one very disappointing, so I guess it depends which therapist you get. If you are a scuba diver or you have always wanted to try - this is the place to do it. I did my Open Water Course here and the instructor and facilities are the best one can get. So, if you decide to do it, ask for Pierre and you will be in the best hands. Overall ... this resort got my hear the first second I have opened the balcony door and heard the ocean, and it has not disappointed.

As I have decided to extend my stay, I changed the rooms (thank you again to Mr. Nice for making this possible) - from king size bed to twin. The mattresses in the twin room would need changing, as they already have dent in the middle from usage. Other than that, everything was great.

This resort is beautiful, with the kindest staff and amazing views. The rooms are a great size, with balcony’s and you get pool towels, the breakfast includes continental and made to order dishes. There is happy hour at the pool bar 5-7, diving facilities on site with a practise pool just for divers only, alongside kayak and snorkel rental by the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay !

The walking up and down to get to places within the resort is very tiring but it’s a hillside resort - not much you can do about it

Our recent stay at Jamahkiri Dive Resort in Koh Tao was an experience we will cherish forever. This resort isn't just a place to stay; it's a destination that offers a unique blend of luxury, relaxation, and adventure. The staff at Jamahkiri were the heart and soul of our experience. Their extraordinary friendliness and attentiveness made us feel valued and well-cared for. They seemed to anticipate our needs, adding a personal touch to our stay that was truly exceptional. Dining at the resort's restaurant was a culinary delight. Each meal was more than just tasty; it was a feast for the senses, especially with the picturesque backdrop of Shark Bay enhancing our dining experience. While snorkeling in front of the resort, we were struck by the changes in the underwater world. The once vibrant coral reefs showed signs of environmental impact, with many corals not as lively as they used to be. Despite this, we were fortunate to see a variety of fish, some sharks, and even some turtles, which was a memorable part of our adventure. Our diving course, led by the skilled and reassuring instructor Neo, was a highlight. We felt safe and well taken care of, making our diving experience enjoyable and stress-free. The room service at the resort deserves high praise. On days when we were too tired to dine out, the quality and promptness of the service made our in-room dining just as special as eating at the restaurant. The reception staff were incredible, efficiently taking care of our needs with a level of service that made us feel like they could almost read our minds. And the massages – they were heavenly. Each massage left us feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready to enjoy our next adventure. In summary, our stay at Jamahkiri Dive Resort was an unforgettable blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty.

Great resort overlooking shark bay. The resort is located away from the crowds, with exclusive view to the bay. Beach is accessible though rocky. We took a try diving class which was very professional and overall a great experience. Food was good.

Only the amount of stairs since the resort is built on a cliff .

We had an exceptional stay at Jamahkiri Resort. The setting is stunning, with ocean views, peaceful surroundings, and amazing snorkeling right off the dock. The staff truly made our experience special. A heartfelt thank you to Fifa, Nancy, and Onew, who were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The restaurant team served delicious meals with care, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and kept our room spotless. We also really appreciated the dockside staff, who made snorkeling easy and safe. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and grateful. Highly recommend Jamahkiri to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with outstanding service.

Nothing - it exceeded all of our expectations!

Much better than I was expecting. Read some iffy reviews but it’s thoroughly decent. Don’t expect the four seasons but it’s a decent 5*. Dive school more expensive than in town but fun group of instructors made it worthwhile. Food choice small but everything decent very good. Loads of turtles 50m from jetty. Lots of steps but not the end of the world. Staff very eager to please, polite, happy & efficient.

Towels could be bigger & fluffier. Increase shower hose length so handheld can be used easily as well as overhead but I’m being picky now. Really very decent all around. Maybe some snacks in minibar as diving makes me hungry!

Great pool villa, lovely view over the sea albeit over the flat roof of another villa. Kitchen, bathroom, seating areas inside and out all good. Lovely pool at villa. Great general pool area and terrace too. Excellent restaurant. The SSI Diving club is very professional. Fun dives every day as well as training from start up to instructor.

Lots of steps but that is to be expected as Koh Tao is very hilly. There was building work, expanding the hotel, going on right in-front of our villa ( not the sea side) which made it noisy from 8am to 5pm and which we weren’t aware of before going. However, the hotel responded really well discounting our room rate and food/drinks. A refurbishment of some of the furniture is needed.

The hotel is just fabulous. It's like Fred Flintstones luxury secret get away. The whole place is just carved into the cliff face with the natural beauty of the rocks placed front and centre. Everything you'd want for a quiet, relaxed holiday with excellent food served in the beautiful main restaurant (no shoes allowed). We'd definitely return and can thoroughly recommend the Dive Club. We did the one day dive experience as a family which included all the training and x2 40 min dives which was just amazing. Our dive coach Max made the day one of the real highlights of the holiday.

Location. It's a 10 min taxi ride to the harbour, main shops and bars but that in itself is an adventure as you hop on the back of four wheel drive trucks to conquer the very steep access road, which is also great fun.
