Nicely designed rooms, clean, and with lots of light. Rather quiet location, away from the noisy downtown, and yet short walking distance to Thai and western style restaurants, and Chalok Baan Kao bay with lots of diving centers. The pool is great, and my kids enjoyed it. The staff was super helpful - from providing information on snorkling trips, attractions, etc to laundry services and cleaning. You get nice snacks every morning. They also placed our room next to our kids' room in a rather quiet part of the hotel, as we asked. If you don't get a bike in koh tao, which we did not since we are with little kids, you are relying solely on taxis for transportation, which could be very pricey. The hotel provides free shuttle from and to the pier as well as the cheapest taxi service that we could find on the island - this was very convenient and saved us a lot of money. The staff is very responsive via WhatsApp 24/7 - a big advantage, and we also used that to book their taxi service when snorkling in a distant beach.

We had a funny smell in our bathroom when we arrived. Even though it was somewhat improved after we asked the staff to check it, it did remain to an extent until the end of our stay, giving an unpleasant "welcome" whiff when entering the toilet. Our kids' room was perfect, nonetheless.

The service is awesome. I was welcomed as a princess. Thank you very much. All services are in hotel. I get my scooter. Tuba mask and quick resume of the place to be and best snorkeling spots. It is very good price. Very good hotel place. Easy access. Restaurants and 7eleven by foot around. Rooms are cosy and illuminated. They come to pick you up when you arrive at the peer and after they also bring you to the peer for free if you respect precise hours

2 points for me were inconfortable : - shower room really moldy and it smells moldy also. Maybe a one good chemical cleaning could help. - AC smelt old gaz but it was ok after several hours of using. Still i slept not very good. The direction of AC is directly in the face / body and even if I put 26 degrees. I woke up at night having to cold. I put it off and after I wake up too hot ... Maybe it is only my sensibility

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. You couldn't have asked for more. There was transport waiting at the pier for us and even a welcome drink at the hotel. We were given so much advice when we arrived and all the best spots to go to. This was appreciated, so thank you. The hotel is in a good location, near to restaurants and a 7/11! We would recommend the croissant cafe opposite and the small Indian restaurant. Both were delicious. We would definitely come back again!

Not a negative but would loved to have stayed longer. We stayed 4 nights so 5-6 nights would have been better.

First of all i want to say, that staff are amazing. Very helpful and extremly nice. Owner of the hotel is educated guy and a great person as well. This hotel is good for short stay, especially for young couples or travelers, that probably come to learn scuba diving in Koh Tao. Room is pretty clean and cozy with comfartable bed. But, once again-staff is outstanding. Can strictly recommend for short stay.

May be it is kind of Thai hospitality, but i was a bit surprised and ever shocked, when saw that during quests arrival to premises all staff run fast outside, include women (mostly so nice people from Birma) and just carry on so heavy big bags (luggade) for ever young people to the lobby. For me it is looks bad. That is not kind of work, that staff (at least woman) suppose to do. It is completely redundant. But it is only my opinion.

This is a simple comfortable hotel run by a beautiful local couple who have been on the island for decades and will give you all the inside tips. I was given such a warm welcome and there was always time for a smile and to make sure I had everything I needed. 12 hour reception and they live just behind the hotel if needed out of hours (WhatsApp numbers on a handy reference sheet). The room was simple but thoughtfully set-up with some lovely touches such as refillable flasks rather than more plastic water bottles. Very clean. Great bathroom. A nice desk with lots of natural light made a super little office during my stay. Relaxed location on an interesting lane lined with cool coffee shops for breakfast leading down to the stunning bay with relaxed bar/restaurants and the excellent Hydronauts dive centre. Lovely beaches and viewpoints within easy walking, kayaking, scrambling... distance. When you want more lively entertainment Sairee Bay is a short taxi ride away. Taxis, laundry etc all organized and at local prices. Turns out (chatting...) that the hotel is named after the owner's birthday. This is just so fitting and sums up how integral the hotel seems to their life.

Don't expect high end luxury. But who wants that on Koh Tao anyway?!

The staff was very helpful. They sat down with us and explained the hotel rules, gave us plenty of recommendations for good spots, beaches and restaurants. Free taxi service to and from the pier. The room was cosy with lots of storage space. Cleaned daily. Good laundry service! The pool was super nice too!

The shower head holder wasn’t adjustable, so in order to take shower, you have to hold the shower head in your hand which makes for example washing hair difficult. It leaked quite a lot too, but the room was a wet room anyway, so that’s okay. The water coming from the bidet shower was very smelly.

The location is great: very close to the viewpoint and Freedom Beach, as well as several bars/restaurants. The hotel is also clean and comfortable with a pool and kind staff (they even gave us a keycard early so we could go on a day trip before check in!)

The accommodation is a bit basic and there aren't a lot of activities available to book through reception. Also not a lot of common areas beyond the pool. Still good value for money and one of the nicer, more modern hotels in the area.

My second stay at "MAR24" in Koh Tao was great! We felt very welcome and the hosts/staff made our stay perfect! We had the triple room and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was very basic but it was still alright. The hosts took care of every problem we had; motorbike rent, laundry and recommendations for beaches around the island. We also got a welcome drink upon check-in. Unfortunately we caught Norovirus and were so sorry but the staff did a great job changing our sheets and made us feel taken care of at any time. Definitely coming back!

Good quality for the price Friendly staff willing to sort tickets for ferries and activities for good price which is very helpful You will need to hire a bike/scooter to get to this hotel really ( hotel charge 200bht per day) as hotel is slightly out of the way from Sairee Beach. Impossible to walk to every day as too hot in summer. 30 mins each way at least. Staff give many good tips on where to go for trips AC in room very good/cold

The shower head in our room needed a bar attaching to move it up and down. It currently has just one fixed position high up the wall which isn’t helpful for showering . This meant you had to remove head from wall every-time you wanted drenching and then soap up separately, this is not how a shower should work. This is a problem a handyman could fix in a few hours. Drilling a sliding frame into the tile wall. Tea and coffee weren’t filled in everyday so had to ask for more. Pillow was really hard and not relaxing used my travel pillow instead. Hopefully once those little improvements are made it will really put this hotel in a top class for its price which it does well with anyway.

I have NEVER awarded a property 10 before but wow does this place deserve it. I stayed with them during the monsoon rain when there were flash floods and intermittent electricity black outs. I therefore tried to leave for Bangkok earlier so I could make my flight. The staff could not have been more kind. They drove me to and from the port multiple times for free as I tried to book a boat out, held my room whilst I found out if I could leave early so I wasn’t homeless, and refunded the days when I had booked to stay but no longer could because they’d promptly sought another customer to take my place. The room was spotless and comfortable, with free water refills. The pool was lovely and pool towels were provided. There is a newsagent right next door for basic snacks etc and food cafes restaurants within walking distance. WiFi is good. Shower pressure and heat is good. Cannot recommend highly enough. Book book book!

Loved it all. Maybe the staff being available via WhatsApp might be helpful for those customers who cannot make telephone calls / need a response quicker than via booking.com chat - but this is very minor!!!
