I have been returning to this hotel for many years and I am always very satisfied. Amazing view from the pool. Beautiful surroundings. Extra large and very well equipped rooms.Unfortunately, the lower part of the hotel, which was located directly on the beach, is closed, but still this hotel offers everything I need.I will be happy to return to it, in future. I have visited the Koh Tao Island many times and in my opinion It is the best choice. What is great is that the hotel offers free unlimited transportation from the hotel to the beach and back all day and to the port and Sairee Beach several times a day.

Don’t tell me you have been to Koh Tao and never stayed in Paradise Zone. I spent the wonderful time here. The location is amazing, you can see both sunrise and sunset. My room was with sea view which I can see Shark Bay, and I enjoyed the sunrise right out of my window. After chilling at beautiful infinity pool, I enjoyed the sunset shined on my face. Oh , I love the vegetable spring rolls from hotel restaurant, thin crust and crispy! Yummy! The most important, the service is great and staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is very clean and bed sheet is comfortable. I really want to extend my stays …but they are fully booked. Maybe you reserve quick and in advance. Highly recommended! If I come back Koh Tao, I’ll only stay in Ko Tao Resort-Paradise zone.

it is a really nice property with very friendly staff and a wonderful location if you want a nice quiet stay. Reasonably priced restaurant and bar.

The description on booking.com is incorrect. there is no massages / spa area. I was annoyed as I booked it for my girlfriend based on this as I thought it was a spa type resort.

The Paradise Koh Tao Resort An absolute 5 out of 5 I was saying to my daughter how, for me, a 5 star hotel is not just about the quality of the room or building or the food or even the staff. It’s about the overall experience. Value for money, comfort, fun. We were met at the pier with our cases carried for us to a songthaews. We were met at the grand hotel by Koko who explained that there was a power cut. No electricity but he was smiling and so sincere it was not a problem for us. We were walked to our room by Koko and a colleague. They carried our cases. The room was just being finished with cleaning and we went into the massive room with a double and single bed. No AC because of power cut. It was funny with Koko explaining to us how it worked without being able to show us. My daughter and I then went to the pool which was absolutely amazing. We had the whole pool to ourselves for the afternoon. An elderly Thai couple came and we took some pictures for them. Then a German (or South African) couple. The pool and area was big enough that we weren’t in each others way. Able to relax, peace and have fun. We then ordered some ice cream and when the electricity came on we then ordered lunch; an omelette, a coconut chicken soup and red curry. It was absolutely delicious! (About 600BAHT). My daughter then showered and I had a bath on the balcony! Yes, a bath on the balcony, Bubbles bowing down the street. it was amazing! We then went down to the lobby and were driven free of charge into Koh Tao. We had a wonderful time in Koh Tao which is really alive again since covid. We then paid 500B for a cab back. We slept in the beautiful air conditioned room. The following morning we had breakfast (250B each) and were served again by Su (who was always helpful and smiling). There were other staff members (Myanmar) we didn’t get their names but thank you to them as well. Everyone was smiling, friendly, trying their best and running around for us.

That we couldn’t stay longer.

Staff, views from the hotel and poolside, food and facilities were all amazing! Loved the pool and the surrounding sight seeing. The staff really went above and beyond and we are so grateful. The hotel is a little dated as others have said but it wasn't a negative for us, we loved the look of the place - the hill to the hotel from the local town is no joke but there are courtesy buses to and from town so don't need to hike up and down all the time :) would come back again!

Amazing view over the bay, panoramic windows. Clean and comfortable room with always fresh bed. Hygienic set was there. Great breakfast. Spectacular pool with a view over two bays. You can enjoy the view of the stars at night laying on the cozy nets. Energy of the hotel lets you enjoy your stay at 100%. Especially I would like to point out that the hotel offers yoga classes. We tried two classes and we are beginners. We really enjoyed the yoga classes and discovered something new for us. The yoga trainer is very experienced and has positive energy, thus you get great yoga experience.

Some days there was an unpleasant smell from the sewers in the bathroom.

The view is unreal. Koh Tao was hot hot hot while we were there and the benefit of having a breeze cannot be overrated!! Unwind in the pool and enjoy the breeze and the view. I felt this hotel was at the pricier end of the scale for us but the view, and breeze that came with it, made it well worth it! The shuttle service up and down the hill was fantastic. Hardly ever had to wait more than 5 mins, if at all. Chalok bay had everything we needed: variety of restaurants and 7/11. We saw the turtle in Sharks bay too and found an excellent dive course with Nava too. Again this hotel is a little tired, and a little basic but totally passable. breakfast wasn’t fantastic but there was a good selection of Asian and western food. It was very quiet in the evenings too. We were always the last up when the bar closed at ten. All said and done in terms of location I would definitely cook this place again. I think it would be hard to beat.

INCREDIBLE view from infinity pool, one of the highlights of my Thailand holiday was watching the sunset from this pool!! Really close to some beautiful beaches and free shuttle to them Friendly staff Free shuttle bus service into main town

It’s bit dated as a hotel - old style decor (but what makes it more affordable) It’s far from the main town centre - we only stayed here after spending 5 days in the centre. If this was your only stay in Koh Tao it’s not the best location. There is a free shuttle bus to the centre but it was at either at 5pm or 8pm - nothing inbetween. And if you got the bus at 8pm one you’d have to pay for a taxi back (I think was around 400 baht) The food was a good standard but expensive compared to places in town

The Koh Tao Resort is the most beautiful hotel that we were allowed to visit in all of Thailand. It stands on a mountain and is a wonderful viewpoint of the island. (Don't worry, you will be picked up from the port and driven back). Due to its location, you can see both sunrise and sunset from the hotel terrace or the infinity pool. The rooms are larger than average, very clean and mosquito free. Don't miss to book a room with a bathtub on the balcony! The breakfast is rich (American + Thai). (Almost even) Better than this hotel is the warm, friendly staff, Som in particular makes the stay perfect and makes everyone smile and feel comfortable the moment you arrive. For us, who have stayed in 100s of hotels, the Koh Tao Resort is right at the top, outstanding value for money. P.s. Be sure to get a fruit shake from the bar - delicious!

Nothing. Maybe be aware, that Sairee Beach is too far to walk, but the taxis are cheap, or with a motorbike it's a 10 minutes ride, and otherwise there are tons of restaurants and minimarkets 5min walk from the hotel.

November 2023

We stayed here in January 2023 and returned November 2023 as we enjoyed it so much. Pros: - Very clean and well maintained. - Lovely staff throughout the entire resort. - Stunning views from the pool and restaurant area. - Included breakfast was good. - Very comfortable pillows. - Complimentary pier shuttle for pickup and drop off. It is also complimentary to main beach/busy areas.

Cons: - Rooms are not soundproof. If the guest next door plays music, talks loudly, slams a door, etc, you will hear it. - Restaurant and bar areas could use some mosquito coils/citronella candles/some sort of deterrents.
