Loved being in a private hut by the beach for a change from hostels. It was slightly out of the main area but only 5 minutes or so on a bike and they have their own parking area. I liked the terrace area outside to sit and dry clothes, and the rooms were very spacious. Just a few steps away from the beach (not the best one but fine for sunbathing). Very nice sandwich shop down the road.

The bed was quite uncomfortable and I was only given a very small narrow blanket. When I asked for another they told me it’s only 1 per person so I ended up having to use my towel as another blanket which was annoying.

Very nice and quiet location, within 30m distance from little but nice beach. 7-11 near by, plenty of food places and massage shops. Aom Sin Thai Food was our favorite little food place, right next to French Kiss Cafe and Pizza place which actually was very good too. Generally place is very good for people without high expectations, and those who like peace and quiet. There is no sea view but well taken care of garden with plenty of wild life, compromises it. Tropicana is one of places that I will definitely be visiting again. Ps. Motorcycle is recommended to move around island that has many nice beaches to offer.

Perfect location in a very quite part of Koh Tao, Chalok area. From the room to the beach is a 1 minute walk! Also the garden-view is exceptional! Many birds singing and a lot of butterflies is a beautiful green garden. The staff is very friendly and the manager Mr. Wan, who is in his office every day, is very friendly and will help you any way he can with any problem you might have!!

The restaurant closes quitte early, around 6 (or 7) pm. But there is always a place to eat next door :) Breakfast, lunch, coffee and Thai food are good!

Close to the beach, big room, big balcony, fridge, drinking water provided daily. Clean. Close to restaurants, bars and 7-11, but generally still quiet location. Reasonable prices in the on-site restaurant. Will organise tours for you at reception.

Intermittent shower issue - occasionally wouldn't run hot, but we found if we turned it off and left it for 5 mins that it would 'reset'. The resort was larger than we'd normally stay at, there's quite a few rooms, I imagine it'd be very busy during high season.

The location is right on Chalok beach, and has a 7/11 and many restaurants a short walk away. The resort restaurant is also quite tasty, we had breakfast there a few days for a very good price.

The wifi unfortunately did not reach our room, so we often used the communal areas where wifi is good. The blankets were slightly unconventional - they are similar to towels rather than a typical blanket. They are functional but not the most comfortable.

Perfect spot on Chalok Bay right by the beach. 10 mins walk to Shark Bay where you can snorkel from the public beach and see the most amazing fish, and turtles if you are lucky. My hut was v comfortable with a fridge, air con, fan and bathroom as well as a lovely balcony to sit out on and place to dry clothes. They give you a bottle of water every day which is a lovely thing. And room, gets cleaned every 4 days. The staff are really kind and helpful. I booked a fantastic snorkelling day trip with Oxygen tours through Tropicana. Close by is a 7/11, ATM and money exchange plus lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and massage places. The little cafe opposite the 7/11 is very good and cheap.

Could have done with a big sheet on top instead of a big towel but fine really

The staff are nice, the location is great, one of the good bays for snorkeling and walking distance to the shark Bay, both known for being visited by turtles and baby sharks. It is very recommended for snorkeling fans. We've been in the high season in February, and it was quiet and peaceful, with no a lot of people on the beach. Food is good and good price. Next to the resort, there is 7/11, exchange, a few restaurants in walking distance, all that you need. We spent 5 days there, and we didn't even rent a bike.

There us quit a lot of traffic passing by, mainly motorbike. Only at night, it stops. I guess it's the same as for al resorts next to the beach

I stayed in Tropicana for 1 month and I was really happy about my time there!! It´s right on the beach, close to all the wonderful restaurants and bars, yet away from the craziness of Sairee beach. I had my own wonderful bungalow that was cleaned every 4 days and the entire territory was really well taken care of. The highlight has been Mr Won and Mrs So who were extremely friendly and very kind people, willing to go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable, always with big smiles on their faces!!! I highly recommend staying there, it´s also very close to Jonh´s Viewpoint, Freedom Beach and Shark Bay (for snorkeling to see baby sharks and turtles ) and the best bars with most beautiful view points on the island - Secret Bar & High the Moon. Another cherry on top: just outside the resort there are yoga classes 4 times a day so you wouldn´t even need to go far to keep in shape! And make sure you book your diving course with the Ocean Sound and have dinner at Ying and Yang- best restaurant out there! And grab a cocktail at Koppe bar :) Enjoy your stay in Koh Tao <3

Everything was perfect and beyond

perfect location, beautiful surroundings, close to the beach, perfect houses, close to everything, cheap and very good food,. the island is very mountainous, I do not recommend it to scooter enthusiasts because it is easy to have an accident or collision, it is better to walk

very close to the beach with turtles, clean beach, very nice hotel, quiet area and very nice people, the houses where we stayed had everything we needed, clean, equipped with air conditioning and a fridge, we didn't need anything else. for lovers of snorkeling with turtles, I recommend the turtle beach, you can meet them there about 400 - 600 m from the shore, large turtles and small sharks

The location right next to the beach was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful - easy place to stay if you're on a bit of a budget

The restaurant was closed and had been since Covid so there was no breakfast or option to eat in - there was also no provision for making food (no kettle etc.) so this increased the amount we had to spend and made it about equivalent to a more expensive resort with breakfast included
