The staff was incredible, friendly and helpful. The decorations looked charming. Location is perfect, all that you may need is just 5 minutes walk. The owner gave us a TM-30 even though it was not required to provide a printed copy, so it was a big favor from hin. And they also kept some parcels at reception, we appreciated that very much. They also have some breakfast and a small cafe but we didn’t try.

That fact that you may use the fridge only from 8 to 21 is a bit dissatisfying, sometimes we wanted to leave the food overnight but the reception was closed even at 19:30. It was a small issue for us. The second thing was that we didn’t notice that we booked a room with no AC. It was hard to endure the night.

Nice room, it was big and spacious, the grounds are also quite nice. Good location, there are restaurants around and most things that you need within a short walk. I walked away from the town and along the river and and found a lovely rooftop cafe! Enjoyed the outdoor shower, however I didn't see any pics of this beforehand so was a bit surprised. I liked that you can close the bathroom doors tight and keep the outside, outside! The lady on reception was lovely!

The bed was a little hard, and squeaky, although that's me being fussy as I slept absolutely fine. The walls are quite thin, I heard everything all around me although everyone was considerate, I didn't hear any noise after around 11pm ish. Some small ants in the room on arrival, I sprayed most of them but there were a couple more by morning, nothing of concern though as I kept food locked away, Missed having a fridge!

Clean comfortable room of a good size. Nicely decorated, good outside shower which was different! Bedside light which was nice as don't always have one in Thailand. Pleasant cafe downstairs where you could order a nice breakfast. On the road opposite the river so easy access to ferry's, lots of nice local restaurants and bars. Staff were great at letting us leave our bags for a few hours on check out day.

Little extra touches like a kettle in room, hairdryer, fridge etc not included but you know this when booking.

Located in the heart of Old Town Krabi, if you want to be out of holiday maker towns this is the place for you. Bright, clean, spacious and well maintained rooms. Very friendly staff Lots of shops, restaurants and bars right on the door step and only a few minutes walk to night market

WiFi was very touch and go and when it did work it wasn’t very strong. Also our bathroom was an outdoor bathroom, it was very clean and we didn’t have bugs but just something I wish I’d known before we arrived

The staff were totally exceptional. I arrived not feeling well and was sick for a couple of days. They always checked in with me. Gave me a hot ginger drink freely to help. Extended my stay each time I asked with genuine care and hospitality. Helped carry my suitcase upstairs and generally are naturally beautiful humans. Beds and pillows super comfortable.

Not the fault of the Chanchalay however Krabi town lost water supply sometime on Saturday morning early so woke up to no water in my room. It was still not sorted as at Sunday 930am . The team at Chanchalay did their best in a big problem situation. Well done.

This was such a treat. Sadly we only stayed one night as we were passing through Krabi Town but so glad we chose to stay here. The room was very stylish, comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I finished my book on the way to the hotel and exchanged it on the book swap shelf. A perfect respite for any traveller in need of some comfort and style. The night market nearby was excellent and sprawling. The cheapest eats so far in Thailand and the market is busy with local people catching up with friends and family. It made for some very wholesome ambling.

I had one of the rooms downstairs, which are almost bungalows, with a little terrace in front of your door with chairs (I enjoyed it quite a lot at night). I was very pleased with the room which has great aesthetics, just like the bathroom (it is opened on the outside - no roof - so it feels fresh and nice when having a shower). I had to work during my stay and the room was perfect for that too. It almost felt like going back home at night, really. Plus, the staff is really, really nice. Contact was smooth and so pleasant. Nothing to say about the location - just perfect! I enjoyed it so much that I thought about staying longer or going back. A very peaceful moment.

Absolutely beautiful room, with open air bathroom and a lovely view of the courtyard from the little porch. A tv with 2 English channels (cna news and V music) was an added bonus. Great location, only a minute or so from the pier and bus station, and with plenty of 7/11s and restaurants.

The staff were very friendly but they gave bad transport advice. 1. They told me I should pay 350 baht for a taxi from the airport to Chanchalay, but there's a really good 100 baht shuttle service. 2. They said the long boat to Railay leaves at 9.30 and 11.30. Not true - it leaves when there are 8 passengers.

The property is in a great location, a short walk from the night market. It had my favourite blue and white colors. Its a good value for the money, and the owner helped me to arrange a taxi to take me for my flight.

I think the place has more potential if it had a more deeper cleaning – my downstairs room had dusty windows and hair in the bathroom when I arrived. There wasn't much light because it was downstairs and I needed privacy. Maybe other rooms would have been more suitable for me but they were already taken. You can also hear everything from the rooms above and next to you – so it is a good choice for 1–2 nights if you are on a lower budget.

Great location, interesting design, friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Quiet and comfortable. We had a great view from the window. And how wonderful it was to sit on the balcony in the evening and listen to the quiet sounds of music and live singing from the cafe located nearby. Thank you very much!

If there was a small refrigerator and a kettle in the rooms, it would be great!
