Location is perfect, view shared by many, vibe is good, some staff been there years and remember you. Housekeeping is good, everything is easy and chill about Areca, I think it's my 7th stay since 2013

Rooms in evergreen are showing age. Breakfast coffee is awful and that's a kind word. F&B service staff vary from excellent to stone face and miserable, yes I know they have trainees there as they have for years, yet this year some were noticeably miserable.

Staff were polite and helpful, the location is perfect as it's minutes away from all the bars and restaurants as well as a short walk to the beach. The hotel has two lovely pools , well maintained and serving cold beverages and food. You can get cheaper hotels but the Areca is worth the cost, I have stayed here before and have always enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back again.

They have ongoing refurbishments, work being carried out at breakfast restaurant and at the back of the main building. It did not really have an impact on my stay.

Breakfast was decent. Would have like a few more options but the lady cooking eggs did great, she was always happy to make eggs anyway you wanted them, tried all the options. All delicious. The ladies at breakfast and the cleaning ladies, were always friendly, Golf the bell boy was my absolute favourite, always superfriendly and always had a big smile on him no matter time of day. Few others were great too, Natty, Oor and Cholly. Few names I didn't get but I will make sure I do next time.

About 80% of the staff were friendly and engaging, That little 20% just did not seem happy to be there or to even great customers. I myself was ignore numerous times. Perhaps it's just me and I caught them on several bad days ?

Reception staff at this hotel are Excellent: friendly, engaging, very helpful and highly professional. Pool area was good, nice bar and menu with shade if required. Sun from about 10 am till 5 pm. Refurbished rooms are fab.

Sunbeds were 'reserved' with towels but unoccupied for many hours. Pool staff were slow to remove hotel towels from unoccupied sunbeds.

I've returned to Areca Lodge about a half a dozen times, and do so because it has everything to make a relaxing holiday memorable. For my parter, however, it was her first time, and she absolutely loves 'freebies'. So it came as no surprise that she fell in love with the lavish breakfast banquets. Our holiday was from 5 August until 22 August, and the weather was fantastic. We're definitely going back.

We were completely satisfied, so no negatives at all.

The fitness center was well-equipped and clean, catering to all my exercise needs. **Location: 10/10** Situated in a prime location, Areca Lodge is within walking distance to numerous shops, restaurants, and attractions. This made it easy to explore the city without the need for extensive travel. **Overall Experience: 9.5/10** Areca Lodge exceeded my expectations with its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location. I had a pleasant and memorable stay, and I look forward to returning on my next visit to the city. Highly recommended!

The room was very large and spacious, bed very comfortable,large bathroom plenty of hanging space and storage, nice comfortable seating area in room, and a large balcony. Hotel situated in heart of things restuarants, bars shopping etc. 2 pools in the property, plenty of sunbeds. Very good Buffet breakfast catered for everyone. All staff very helpful and efficient and very polite.

The only thing that could be improved is the shower fitment, which is fixed in the wall over the bath, and little to no adjustment on the shower head

The location was good if you want to be near the nightlife. Room was quiet at night. Was in the evergreen wing right at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was fine. Two large pools. Flexible room cleaning staff. Large air con lobby area. Has seating in front of hotel also and a restaurant at front too. Taxi can pull up right in front of entrance. Has free parking also. Good sized rooms. Had a small balcony which was useful to dry out swim trunks. Everything you need is in the area.

Overall a likeable place that I think has repeat customers.
