I recently stayed at Amora Beach Resort and had a wonderful experience. The resort is located in a very peaceful area, and the beach is excellent and very close by. For groceries, there’s a shop called Tops conveniently located nearby. If you’re a Muslim, there is also a small prayer area just outside the hotel. The rooms offer lovely pool views, with some rooms on the ground floor providing direct access to the pool right from your door. The staff is very cooperative, especially a girl named Tang who resolved an issue with my water park booking and also helped me book a fantastic tour to Phi Phi Island. Another staff member, Hanif, was also incredibly humble and helpful. Overall, the resort has a great vibe and is suitable for families.

- great location, right out onto the beach, close to the airport which was convenient for my early morning flight. Plenty of food and drink options a short walk away - fantastic breakfast selection - recently refurbished, the room was comfortable and bathroom very nice - friendly, helpful staff - the beach club is a nice addition to be able to use, however, expensive. Bang Tao is the first place in my travel around Phuket where I experienced service charges. - the chat to the team option on WhatsApp was also useful I was initially worried, having booked and then checked reviews again to see that it had dropped in ratings, I was pleased that my experience was not negative. However, I don’t think that it can be truly classed as 5* - having stayed in a variety of ‘3-5*’ hotels in Phuket and surrounding islands, I am not sure this is quite there.

- mini bar wasn’t stocked, would have been a nice addition. There is a shop opposite the hotel so was able to stock up as I required, however, other 5* places I have stayed have offered mini bar and complementary refreshments etc. - the holding deposit of $200 seemed a bit steep, again comparing to others I have stayed in.

good hotel, which was recently renovated. Good territory, clean beach, enough sunbeds. Very good breakfasts. The rooms have a nice design, comfortable bed. Very convenient communication with the administration via Whatsapp.

The design of the rooms is beautiful and modern, but the functionality suffers - the rounded edges of the tables and bedside tables, so things constantly fall/slide off them. There are no drawers in the bedside tables. There is no socket or bedside lamp on one side of the bed. There are not enough shelves in the closet. It would be advisable to put a couple of armchairs/chairs in the room

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for: a resort like facilities that we could walk in the beach a few meters from the room. We got a free upgrade which was a nice gesture. The room and hotel in general has beautiful modern design and renewed. Bed was huge and confortable and bathroom had everything we needed. We even had a balcony where we could dry our swimsuits. Breakfast was great with many options. You can even ask for cooking omelets with ingredients of your choice. Staff is very nice and helpful. The beach also was what we wanted, good and not crowded. Bang Tao is a great option for those seeking a getaway from confusion and crowds. Lots of bars and restaurants on the beach, but also on the man road on the back of the hotel. Very pleasant to dine at the beach, walk along and fine bars to have drinks, and if night is good, swim in the sea at night. All possible cause you are just a few meters from the room. We rented a scooter and saw several beaches, and we conclude that we made the best and right choice. Patong is just 30min distance and doable in a motorcycle at night as most of path has illumination. The hotel had a small surveillanced parking which allowed us to safely park our motorcycle. If you like to explore surroundings, rent one. Cheap options nearby. ADVICE: Be careful cause if you not experience driver, roads have sand and can get tricky. You need to have international license or Patong Police will get you and you'll pay a 35$ fine. Rentals don't care if you have license. All in all, this was incredibly stay and we wish we had stayed more days. I don't understand the low ratings of this hotel, might have been from the old premises before renewal. I bet it will recover now, cause the place is well worth it. Because of that, we were lucky to get it all renewed, not crowded and great value for money.

The sitting at breakfast should be free choice. We didn't like the location of the table they gave us on the first day. We asked to change and they said it was not possible. This is an easy thing to change. Just let guests choose their tables and have a member of the staff controlling the tables that get available so they get prepared right away. Prices of the beach bar makes people go to other options right next to the hotel. We could've dined there, but we had many other affordable and good options nearby, so we didn't went. Shame, cause the Bar is beautiful. There was still a bit of construction going on but nothing to worry about. We had no disturbing noise at night or in the morning.

We were given drinks vouchers at check-in. The resort is very beautiful and in a quiet area. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The swimming pools were the best. We enjoyed our swim there. The water was warm. The beach was just a stone's throw away from the main swimming pool area. The rooms were a nice good size and the beds comfortable. The water took a while to get hot but we always had great showers. The aircons were really amazing as it was very hot during our stay. We all enjoyed the breakfast as we were spoiled for choice. The staff was always on point and ready to serve. We will definitely be staying there again.

We booked 2x double rooms with pool access but at check-in we were told that the rooms don't exist. There were only pool-side rooms which did not have direct access to the pools as you had to walk a few steps. Apparently Booking.com insists on keeping that wrong description, even though the hotel has tried to correct it. We were then given rooms on the third floor and were told that they were an upgrade, which I doubt. We decided to overlook that as the rooms were interleading and had a beautiful view of the main pool area.

The resort is quite new and is, lovely, clean and the staff are so welcoming and attentive. It is directly on a clean beach (near enough white sand) with a good variety of bars/restaurants and the facilities are great, with plenty of options. The breakfast options were plentiful and tasted great. Tuang on reception (senior team member) was so, so helpful and went out of her way to help us when we needed to arrange alternative transport after our transportation was cancelled. She arranged a driver for us (Hong) who was also helpful and polite. There is a local shop on the opposite side of the road which is great for the little things you might need (for us being British it was fresh Milk for our tea) We would recommend this resort for couples but also for families too! We would definitely go back.

kids club and pool slides were great

lots of classical Russian tourists. they are drinking vodka in the pool and listening to the music on speakers. Those of them who don’t drink vodka in the pool, come and leave their towels on the sun beds at 7 am. Somehow staff do not bother to control or disturb any of these crazy Russian traditions of annoying guests.

Hotel was very clean, lots of space and very quiet. Despite the size there didn’t seem to be many people about. Went in peak season so the cost was a bit higher than normal. Not many westerners.

Lacked vibe/ atmosphere and not many activities on offer. But if you are after a quiet relaxing holiday then that could be a good thing.

Modern hotel offering great service in a fabulous location.
