Close to Temple night markets which We would rate better than Phuket Town market. Really wasted a taxi trip into town to attend Sunday night market when a short walk to the Friday Temple markets in Karon had much more variety on offer and are all under cover and not the crowd crush as in Phuket town market. Also found it more difficult to get a return taxi from the market. Managed to hail a tuk tuk for return to Karon and charged more than a comfortable air conditioned taxi that took us in to town.

We are seniors and did not realise that there were no lifts to our third floor room. I suggest booking a pool level room unless you can easily manage 2 flights of stairs several times a day.

We had a fantastic stay at Centara Karon Resort! The staff were very helpful and welcoming. While there may some inconsistency in housekeeping, we felt ours was satisfactory, responsible and attentive. We were up on the 8th floor and it was quiet. The rooms and grounds were clean, great supply of hot water and had good water pressure. While there are minor flaws here and there we found it sufficient for our stay and we honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. On our first night we left a bag of food on the bench near the entrance of our room and it attracted a ton of tiny ant like bugs. I killed it with our bug spray and disinfected with our wipes and refrained from leaving any kind of food laying around the room which then solved the problem. While there was some on-site construction, it didn’t affect us at all. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful spread, varying daily with some consistent favourites and various local fruits. The pools were great, the pool bars and pool side restaurant were reasonably priced and fantastic, and both kids and adults had a blast in their pools and their foam party event! They have weekly dining specials and daily programs. Short walk to Karon Beach. Shops and restaurants within steps. For those in need of doing laundry, highly recommend going to Blue Laundry wash and dry which is not far of a walk and is located across the temple, Wat Karon which has bi-weekly market held on Tuesday and Friday evenings, offering a variety of local goods and food. Would recommend staying at this resort again. Highly recommend for a fun and relaxing stay in Karon. Would stay again!

The staff were excellent, always saying hello and making sure we’re welcome and comfortable. We booked a deluxe family room with enclosed space for the bunk beds which worked out perfect for us and our 2 girls. We were there end of July ‘25 and it didn’t feel overcrowded. There are plenty of space by the 2 pools and breakfast area. We really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely nothing to complain.

The only downside I can think of is that the hotel doesn’t have beach access. It’s 10 mins walk to the beach (not far) but you have to walk along narrow streets with no proper sidewalks (might be tricky for families with small children). But that’s about it.

It was great stay! Its very nice place for stay with kids, hotel has 3 pools, my kid loved it. Walk to the beach takes 7-10 mins but its cool and fun. Service and staff is very friendly and supportive. Most important that hotel terriroty is green like forest, lots of greens. Breakfast is very nice but in high season lots of people on breakfast. Room is very comfortable. I saw many people in reviews complain about construction nearby however i can assure that room has great sound isolation once you close balcony its absolutely quiet

All good. Prices of the restaurant are a bit higher compare to outside restaurants

The staff here are amazing. Especially the kids club, entertainment staff and the two men who worked the bar by the kids pool. All were so welcoming and helpful from check in till check out. The facilities here are really good. The kids pool has a splash pad and a couple of fun slides which kept our 2 entertained for our whole stay. The gym is well equipped and there's a nice view from the treadmill 😄 The room itself was a decent size, clean and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice and we enjoyed a few meals at the pool club restaurant aswell. Make sure to book a pool view room as the sea view ones are quite a walk away from the pools.

Property has been recently renovated. I have stayed there before and after the renovation and it is great. They have entertainers around the hotel engaging with your kids and organising games (away from the adults pool).

Buffet breakfast could be improved. There is such beautiful fresh fruit being sold on the street and the fruit options at the buffet are not reflective of what is locally available. They used to have a basketball ring in the kids pool that has been removed, this is plus have improved my kids experience had it still been there.

It was a good place to meet with family. The children's club had activities my granddaughter could participate in. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was splendid. The facilities were sufficient. Housekeeping worked very well, too. The only setback was the location of the beach. One had to walk along a highly trafficked road to get to a public beach. We opted to purchase a day pass at the Centara Grand as well as the Beach Club in Kata.

We liked most things. Facilities were very new and clean. Excellent for my young kids, with pools, slides and plenty of play equipment (indoor and outdoor). The rooms were also comfortable, with a buggy to access all parts of the resort if you didn't feel like walking. Drinks and food were tasty and available through a number of outlets. All the staff were incredibly polite and helpful.

Minor but service was a little slow at times for food or the bill for example. Quite a few mosquitoes around too.

Family friendly, tennis court, gym, sauna, pool for kids with slides and activities. Large, spacious room with wraparound balcony. Kids club kept our kids (6, 9, 11) entertained. Easy walk to Karon beach, Temple market and loads of restaurants nearby.

Paying to hire tennis racquets (daily fee for kids sized racquets). Bed bugs in pillows/beds.

Newly renovated, clean, breakfast was good. Good location, good facilities, e zone for the kids was good.

Staff could have been more interactive, especially with the kids. They didn’t make an effort to get to know them compared to Bali. Service around the pool for drinks / lunch was nearly non existent. Took hours to clean up after lunch.
