Great little resort for young families. Amazing customer service, the staff were fantastic went above and beyond always. Shuttle service down to the beach and back was great, it’s a steep walk up! Buffet breakfast was great, plenty of variety. Pools were big and cool, kids waterpark needs some TLC but other than that it’s a fantastic area for kids. Kids club kept my toddler entertained, he loved it. Gym is small but there is enough for a workout. Big rooms, big bathroom, big balcony and comfortable bed. Long happy hour at pool bar and restaurant. Restaurant has a large variety of food which. Staff were amazing with my toddler he loved seeing them and greeting them in the few Thai words he had learnt.

Rooms need some TLC, bathrooms are a little worn and could use some love. Aircon temperature can’t be changed (set at 21) as it creates condensation in the rooms causing moister and wet tiles. My son and husband both slipped, my toddler ended up with bruises up his spine. The staff did let us know it was due to us increasing the aircon temperature (to 24) and they were quick to dry the floors. The rooms were freezing (for us at least, maybe it’s just the Queenslander in us) Shuttle bus service could run a little later into the evening.

The breakfast was excellent 😊 The staff (cleaning, restaurant, reception etc.) were ALL really helpful and kind. Everyone working on Novotel are so friendly. Cleaning was awesome Shufflebus to the Kata Beach was great 💡We recommend using the taxi drivers outside the hotel. Look for a car (Honda Civic I think) with Gold rims he's really kind and trustworthy and we used him several times.

The restaurant in evenings was 😕 (We tried it once and found hair in 3 out of 4 served meals, and two of the things we ordered they didn't have on the current day). The food was rather expensive and did not measure up to the taste. There was quite a bit of noise in the early morning from the neighboring hotel 😕

The room was great, and the pool, while not huge, was a great temperature and had a nice vibe to it, especially with the pool bar. The location in Kata was also great, with so many shops and restaurants around to explore. The front desk staff, restaurant staff and pool bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. Thank you Grace, thank you Lai, such nice people and excellent hosts!

Some of the bellhop attendants who hang around the check-in area felt like they are forcing help on you to get tips, asking over and over to help you after you’ve said you don’t need help. It didn’t feel helpful, it felt like being accosted. That aside, the place is great.

overall we were very happy with the resort itself and the amenities provided. the staff arranged a cute tent and soft toy upon request at booking, as i was travelling with my 3 year old. only the food was not great at all. for a 5 star hotel rating, the food quality and taste really need to be improvised (dinner we had at the restaurant) breakfast selection was good though...

Comfy big rooms with bath tubs. Extremely clean with exceptional service and facilities.

Location on top of an extremely steep hill. Getting up and down was straining for us (regular hikers) and not ideal when you're tackling the hill in flip flops when you're on the way or back from the beach. Underwhelming breakfast with some stale cereal and odd tasting bakery items.

Attentive hospitable staff, good variety breakfast buffet, daily cleaning in the room, pools for adults and kids, complimentary fruit plate and New Year cookies. Convinient location -not on a main road, 5 min walk to Kata, beach, 5 min to bars, cafes and 10 min to Kata Night market. Hotel offers hourly shuttle to the beach. Beach towels are provided near the reception area. Good addition from booking.com: 2 coupons for complimentary soft drink or home cocktails (one time) and 30% discount for food at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is situated on a hill. So walking up and down a steep hill may be a challenge for some guests.

Hotel staff are welcoming, good facilities, and exceptionally good for families with young kids.

The hotel is on steep uphill which might be a problem for elderly or family with young children. They provide shuttle to kata beach as well.

Lovely resort , excellent buffet breakfast , very nice staff

This resort is well located as it close to the beach on one side and just one street off the main hustle and bustle of kata. Be aware though it is on a hill so the walk up from the beach is a bit of a work out ! ( there is a courtesy bus so you can avoid this ) but my partner and I chose to walk it so we could walk off the enormous and delicious buffet breakfast !

The restaurant manager was fantastic. He went above and beyond and really made us feel special. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I read the reviews for this property and noticed they were particularly good. That’s why we came. This property truly deserves great reviews. They made our stay exceptional. Thank you!!!

Many of the reviews point out that the property is situated on a steep hill. It’s about 200 steps. But if you’re not up for that, there are lots of inexpensive tuk tuks available so I don’t really see it as an issue.
