Everything! The family who owns the guesthouse is very friendly and made us feel at home from the first moment. The location is great, the (free) breakfast was very tasty and the hosts even offered us free bikes to explore the park and answered every question we had with a smile.

The landlady was very welcoming, very kind and she has changed my mattress to a softer one when I asked her. The breakfast was nice and one could choose from different options. The bathroom (though shared) was kept very clean and was next door to my room. Spacious, clean and friendly. The landlady let me borrow a pushbike for free for the whole day, she called a tuk-tuk for me when I left and was vert pleasant throughout.

We had to tell her what we wanted for breakfast and at what time the day before, which was a bit annoying, though understandable, but when one is on holiday one might not always have everything planned down to the minutes.

Good breakfasts. Friendly, knowledgeable staff that spoke good English. The owner is very concrete and helpful. Large, clean room and bathroom. Free bike rental included in the price. When we had an issue with the bike chain during our trip, they immediately brought another bike to us with a pick up car so that we could continue our journey. The whole house is spacious, beautiful and offers a lot of things to do. There's a terrace and garden with hammocks you can use. House is in a walkable distance from the long-distance bus stop, main street and the historical park.

While the house itself is beautiful, in order to reach it you need to walk through the neighborhood that doesn't look so nice. Don't be scared ;),

Great place with really nice staff. Good tips for visiting Sukhothai and free bicycles to use. Yummy breakfast with good choices and great location near the old city. I really enjoyed my stay :)

There were a lot of mosquitos around, not sure if you can do much about them, but it made it unpleasant to be outside after dark... I slept in the tent and on the first night it was pretty loud at night for several hours - which was apparently the garbage collection. I don't know if you can hear it in the rooms and it's not every night...

I really enjoyed my stay at Smilingface Guesthouse and will definitely choose this place again if I go back to Sukhothai. Kwan the lady who runs it is amazing, she's very kind and welcoming, making sure that you have everything you need and always smiling. Breakfast is nice and freshly made, and you get to choose from a few different options. The place is located in a very peaceful street, just a few minutes walk from the historical site of Sukhothai, and you can borrow a bike to explore the area. I stayed in a tent on the terrasse which was a fun experience and a good option for a solo traveller as it was cheaper than renting a room. The tent was quite small but it had a comfy matress, a duvet and a light. I'm not a tall person and it didn't rain so I was perfectly fine and I slept very well !

Perhaps it would be a good idea to consider some sort of cover over the tents in case of rain and to protect a bit from the sun ? But that's just a detail :)

Perfect location, close to both tourist attractions and bus station. Very friendly staff. Clean and neat. And they offer free bikes and a simple visiting guide.

Very welcoming guesthouse. Had various breakfast options, and inclusive of coffee, tea, milk, fruit, yogurt and small snacks. Rooms were a lot more spacious than the images made them out to be. Very satisfied with their size. Comfortable bedding. The property has bicycles, a piano, and a ping pong table, which helps pass the time.

Our overnight bus dropped us off at 4am in the morning... I waited a little and showed up at 7am at Smiling Face. The owner had barely opened the house, and I was embarrassed to arrive so early. Yet, Kwan (the owner) welcomed warmly ❤️ My room was ready already, so she allowed me to check-in earlier than planned. After a well-needed power nap, I borrowed a bike from the guesthouse. You need to give a 1000bht insurance that you will retrieve when checking out (if nothing happened to the bike ofc!) Kwan is a lovely woman, just like her staff. She helped me figure out where the bus stop to Chiang Mai was, and her cooking was amazing. Her guesthouse is very welcoming and peaceful. It was the perfect place to recharge as a solo traveler Thank you for everything ❤️❤️

The location was amazing! Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good! Even when we left and sitting on the bus to the next location we figured out we had lost something. The owner was willing to look in the room we stayed and sent pictures where she all looked. Great service!
