The property itself is beautiful. So well planned out and decorated. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. The staff were so so friendly despite language barriers and were really helpful throughout our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and well air conditioned. We loved the pool and it was really quiet during our stay too which made it feel really private. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel is in the medina which is quite busy and noisy but you can’t hear any of it from the hotel and overall the location is brilliant as it’s right in the centre of the town with lots of food and things to do near by. This is our fifth time in monastir and second time staying at dar benti. We would really recommend this place to other people and hope to come back soon!

We loved our kind host who helped us with any questions and tolerated our broken French. She prepared amazing and huge breakfast in the morning which was so delicious, especially the bread and the pastries. The last day we had to leave early so the host prepared us a snack package with fruits, yogurt, a muffin and a bottle of water and we really appreciated this gesture.

We were excited about the pool but after arriving to the place we found out it is smaller than on the pictures and there was an interesting smell coming out of it. Also the jacuzzi wasn’t working.

It is one of the most beautiful Dar in whole of Tunisia. Owned by a lovely family. The decoration and house is spectacular with regard to every little detail. The breakfast is amazing and the location in the Medina of Monastir is very good.

There is nothing really. If I could make a suggestion, the daughter of the house speaks English, if there were other people around speaking English as well this would be the icing on top of the cake 😉 my French is okayish though so I can’t complain, would just help for other audiences I think

Dar Benti is amazing! The hotel is 9 rooms total, a combination of two houses that were made to be adjacent. The design is impeccable and is on par with high-end beach hotels. The pool is very private and quiet and I enjoyed hanging out there reading a book. Breakfast is amazing! The hotel is cash only so if you are coming from Europe it’s best to bring Euro for the room charge, or if you don’t have Euro you can get Dinar locally. Everyone working at the hotel was SO helpful!

The hotel is at the end of an alley that taxis can’t drive down (only wide enough to walk). Since I was traveling alone, I felt a bit uncomfortable coming home after dark.

I was and still am so impressed by this beautiful house renovated with so much style and attention to detail. It feels like you stay in a palace and you are the princess ;). The breakfast is world class, the entire staff and Sarah gave us a warm welcome and great recommendations for our stay in Monastir. The rooms are beautiful, everything perfectly clean and smells so good. The pool - it's just a dream. My overall experience: I've never been (although I travel a lot) to such a beautiful place (that means the hotel) as this. Many thanks for everything.

A smart clean hotel where the owners take genuine pride in everything and were very professional. The attention to detail is astounding both in the decor food and service. Breakfast was awesome with lots on offer served in a beautiful dining area that looks like an interior design showroom. A peaceful place where you can just stay put and relax if you want... the pool is small but adequate and probably the only one in the medina! Excellent facilities... they even have a Hammam.

Location is great! Staff was super friendly, very willing to use our Google translate since we did not speak any French or Arabic! They we're super helpful with finding parking and restaurants as well. Beautiful traditional architecture, with a nice pool and rooftop. The breakfast offered lots of different options.

The place is older, the traditional architecture is beautiful but it also feels a bit outdated. The owner has done a lot of work to make it feel modern and comfortable. There is also no door to the bathroom, and the bathroom is rather small. Very little space around the toilet even.

If you wondering whether this is a fake review or was written by a bot - wonder no more. My wife and I stayed at Dar Benti for 2 nights in May 2022. To find it you walk through the medina, then there's a discreet sign pointing down a brightly-lit alley. After a couple of turns there's a door inset into the wall, and on the other side is an oasis of calm (the owner is an architect, and it shows). So many reasons to stay here ... but here are three: - the breakfast is incredible: quantity, variety but above all freshness. These were some of the best croissants I've had anywhere, let alone in Tunisia. Home made lemon squash, a fresh fruit salad glass ... it's a good breakfast - the inside has a huge central area you can sit in, with a hanging chair in the corner, but you can also sit in one of the quiet book lounges, by the pool on the top floor on a sun lounger ... it's one of those places where I spent more time outside of our room than in it. - Sarah (I hope I've remembered her name right) was unfailingly helpful and cheerful In non-COVID times I'm sure this accommodation would be fully booked and cost three times the prices. Go!

In fairness, I should report that there was only a curtain dividing off our toilet/shower in our bedroom (if it bothers you, you could just go and sit in the hanging chair in the big central area on the other side of the door, and dream your life away).

beautiful boutique hotel in historical building. I can’t think of a better place to explore Monastir. Walking distance to the main attractions in the heart of the Medina. Amazing breakfast and very warm service.

The bathroom has no door. Beautiful design, but little privacy

Dar Benti is an extraordinary experience in all of Tunisia. The family have taken every attention to detail to restore the building and bring to life an elegant experience that Monastir can be so proud of. We were so delighted and appreciative the hosts and their above and beyond spirit to make us comfortable. We are anxious to come back again to Dar Benti.
