Awesome establishment, from the moment we walked in through the arched front door. We were treated to a welcome coffee in the elaborately decorated front lounge, looking out over Goreme. The staff were extraordinarily helpful at all times. Our room was not huge, but comfortable, quiet and very well decorated, and looked out over the castle-like courtyard and pool. Exploring the site, the open roof with the breakfast room had beautiful 360 degree views, covered seating areas and also carpeted areas for outdoor gatherings. When the balloons fly in the early morning, this is the best place to view them as they fly low overhead. Although there is no evening dining provided in the hotel, all of central Goreme is only a few minutes' walk away, with options aplenty. Breakfast is an extensive and delicious buffet in a purpose-built glasshouse on the roof. We will be recommending this hotel to friends.

One tiny thing, more of a joke really. As you get out of the elevator on the top (4th) floor, there is a 10cm step up immediately in front of the door as it opens. If you are not careful walking out, it is a bit of an unexpected trip hazard. Certainly a bit of an issue for anyone in a wheelchair.

Breakfast was good. Hassan was very courteous and remembered our names. We looked forward to his smiles and hospitality. Our room was comfortable and they upgraded us at no cost. It was decorated with baloons because it was my husband's birthday and the Hot air balloon was the most beautiful ever ...it was on our wish list. The location was amazing. We walked to the shops and was able to access the souvenirs I wanted to buy. The most exhilarating feeling was to see the hot air balloons from the hotel terrace. You could see the hundreds of them flying about. ...Jilal and Hilal and the staff was ever willing to assist with anything. Cappadocia was thr most interesting holiday I ever experienced. ...amazing history. The hotel was clean and neat and we were very happy we chose this hotel.. Thank you to the beautiful team

We stayed at the hotel for one night however due to flight timings arrived very early and left well after check out. The staff could not have been anymore accommodating. In all the hotels we have stayed (both within Türkiye and within other countries) the staff were the friendliest we have ever come across. All staff were incredibly hospitable, polite and knowledgeable and provided us with a wealth of information both prior to our stay via messages and during our stay. The hotel itself is in a perfect location and is a mix of both modern facilities and authentic Turkish features. The room was clean, comfortable and inviting, we didn’t make use of the jacuzzi bath which was a shame! The breakfast was amazing and the views from the top floors were an added bonus when enjoying breakfast. The pool area was perfect as it offered both sun and shady areas. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay on the area as it is incredibly good value for money. Thank very much once again to all staff at the Grand Cappadocia Hotel

All of the staff were so helpful and friendly from when I made the booking to when I left for the airport. The hotel is beautiful and really clean with great facilities. The location is perfect. It's close to all of the shops and restaurants and we were able to walk to many of the attractions but it was also peaceful and quiet. The pool was lovely and never too packed to get in. In the mornings you can easily see the balloons from the rooftop terrace. We had an excellent experience here and it really made the trip even more magical.

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave to go home!

- Location - Customer Service Celal was very welcoming and helped us with luggage upon arrival and at the time of departure. He also arranged ATV tour and swirling dervishes’ performance tickets for us. At check out time, we forgot one of our bags at the reception but we realized the mistake after reaching Kayseri Airport (1 hour away). Celal immediately dispatched a cab with our bag to the airport, however, there was not enough time as boarding would have closed by the time cab had reached the airport. I requested Celal to send the bag via bus and I would collect it from the bus station in Istanbul. Instead, he asked his brother (Cemal) to deliver the bag to us in Istanbul. Cemal took the next immediate flight from the nearby Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport and handed over the bag to us at IST. The brothers really saved the day and I am really grateful to them for going above and beyond. Would highly recommend the hotel because of Celal’s excellent hospitality.

It was in the central location of a small town Goreme with an open air museum within walking distance. The access to shops and restaurants was wonderful but it was a block away from a main road, so it was very quiet. The room was very spacious and they provided bottled water that was a nice touch. Beds were comfortable and we had great rest at night. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. They arranged a full-day private tour of Cappadocia with a knowledgeable guide. They asked if we needed any help but not pressuring at all, which was nice. The breakfast had a good variety of food and drink. The breakfast room was on the top floor facing the rock formations, and you can eat inside or outside at the terrace where you can enjoy a great view of hot air balloons all over the town. Overall the hotel was such a gem that we highly recommend this hotel to others and we would love to stay at this hotel again.

Plumbing (drainage) of the shower was a bit slow.

The staff was really great. Helped us with transfers and taxis and addressed a few issues we had during our stay.

The hotel was very beautiful and had a lovely pool area. Our room was right on the pool, and from the photos online I thought it had quite a fancy vibe. I did know that it was not adults only but there were many families staying there with many children who basically took over the pool area entirely - acting very wild and the parents didn't do anything to prevent this. I did speak with the hotel and they addressed the issue. Of course there's no way to tell what type of guest will also be staying at a hotel, but if you want to relax, maybe adult only.

The location was perfect to explore Göreme Cappadocia by foot and it was perfect during winter with less visitors and the many walks through the scenic sights were enough to keep you warm and build your appetite for the countless eateries in and around the main strip. The view of the balloons at breakfast from the hotel was phenomenal.

There is nothing we didn't like at the hotel it was perfectly well constructed and very roomy. Unfortunately there was no snow on our visit, and we only got to see the many balloons on our last morning due to the high winds during our visit.

The staff were amazing! They helped us book our hot air balloon experience when our first booking was cancelled. They ensured our stay was comfortable and relaxing. They were always on hand to answer any questions we had. The location was fantastic and in walking distance to everything you need. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned everyday. The pool area was so relaxing and beautiful, as well as the roof top where we had breakfast each morning and watched the balloons overhead.

The hotel is fantastic and Halil, who welcome us when we arrived at night, is so accommodating, helpful and nice. He helped us with our day trip booking and adjusted it according to our needs. The hotel dog "Teddy" is so charming and well behave. Rooms are spacious and very neat. Breakfast was fantastic as well. After our hot air balloon ride, we had the opportunity to seat in the roof terrace and took loads of pictures. We were served with hot tea as well. All the staff are really nice and made our stay special, it's a shame that we were only there for an overnight stay (12-13 Nov 2024). * Because we were only there for a very short time and trying to do as much, I was sending messages to the hotel staff for any query prior to our arrival, and my questions were always answered promptly. We had to change our plans due to Airline issues and still the hotel has managed to be flexible with the arrangements made. We haven't arrived yet, and already we were being taken care of which was reassuring.
