Burak Apartment is very clean and nice, well-equipped with basic facilities, including cooking utensils (except for ladles). It is a 15-20 minute walk to Camberlitas Tramvoy, Sultanahmet Tramvoy, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. Eateries are everywhere, as well as grocery stores. The host is very kind, attentive, and responsive. They provide daily cleaning service. Just a reminder, the Sultanahmet area is extremely hilly, so this apartment may not be suitable for families with small children or senior citizens. This apartment is a great value for money (budget-friendly place). My family, consisting of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, was satisfied with our 4-day stay there.

Everything good

Impossible not to fall in love with this place. Sinan is a SUPER host, he gave the room as soon as possible and he showed his interest towards us from the first moment. He changed the towel, made the bed and cleaned the room almost every day and this is unbelievable. The room has everything advertised on booking and there is nothing you could need more. Soap for hands and bath, big shower, god bed, fridge, wardrobe and especially for girls and good phon. The apartment is really well located, 7 min away from tram T1 and 10/15 min walking from the main road the brings you to Sultanhamet zone. Even the neighbourhood is good, full of shops and restaurants but the in the night it gets super chill so you won’t have problems sleeping at all. Above all I want to show my real appreciation for Sinan and how he tries to run his business as best as possible, I wish him the best hoping to come back here in the future.

We were a family of four, and we all slept comfortably, even our son, who slept on the sofa bed, which was about the size of a small double bed. The apartment is quite small when the sofa bed is open, but that didn’t bother us at all. The value for money was excellent. The owner checked in every day to see if anything was missing and even made the beds for us. Although we stayed for four nights, he also changed our towels. The location was very convenient since it was our first visit to Istanbul, and we wanted to explore the classic sights. It was an easy 20-minute walk to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and other landmarks, and only about 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar. From both spots, you can also catch the tram. If you don’t mind walking and can handle a bit of an uphill stroll, the area is great. We also found a bakery nearby where we got fresh simit in the morning, and there’s a supermarket relatively close as well. We felt safe walking to and from the apartment, even in the evening.

The apartment doesn’t have shutters, and for someone like me who wakes up at the slightest light, the curtain wasn’t enough. I would recommend anyone with the same issue to bring a sleep mask

The food was consistently fresh, well-prepared, and absolutely delicious. Whether it was a hearty kebab, flavorful meze, or a sweet baklava, every meal turned into an unforgettable experience. The vibrant atmosphere and the warm hospitality in these cafes made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It's a paradise for food lovers, and I can't recommend it enough!

Honestly, there wasn't anything to dislike about this experience. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, from the cozy atmosphere to the incredible food options nearby. It was a seamless and enjoyable stay, and I can't think of anything that could have been improved. Every detail contributed to a wonderful experience!

The location is fantastic, close to all the main tourist areas. It’s just a 10-15 minute walk to the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and Topkapi Palace area, 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar, and 15 minutes to the Galata Bridge. The Wi-Fi is strong, and there’s a desk you can use for work or meals. The toilet is renovated and very nice, and the heating works perfectly (can’t comment on the air conditioning as it was wintertime). The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, they gave us an upgrade and assisted with both check-in and check-out. Overall, amazing value for the money!

The room could benefit from a small upgrade with a bit of TLC. Having some bottled water in the fridge upon arrival and a set of cutlery for those who want to eat in the room would be a nice touch. However, these are minor details that don’t significantly impact the overall experience.

Excellent apartment for its price. Good location in the city. Clean, and cleaning was done several times. Friendly owner was always helpful. Huge thanks for providing us with an alternative when the internet was down in the entire area.

The owner was very friendly - he changed my room to one that wasn’t close to the street, so I would have more noise-free nights. My sleep was uninterrupted, which is rare in this part of the city. The location is perfect. The walk up the hill is good for your health if you’re having Turkish cuisine every day and need to spend calories. Most importantly, a cleaner cleans your room at 12pm every day. It’s perfect.

The property is excellent, located at the heart of the most tourist attractions. Almost all the tourist destinations of Istanbul are well within walking distance. The apartment is located very near to the main road and definitely there is a connecting road just outside the door. The property owner is super friendly and cooperative. We moved outside of Istanbul and he allowed us to leave behind our staffs at the apartment, even though we did not have any reservation for the later part of our stay at Istanbul. I would definitely recommend Burak apartment for your stay at Istanbul.

.When you arrive at the hostel there is no reception so you are supposed to contact the owner so he can go to open the door. That was difficult because we didn't have wi-fi, so we had to ask in the hotel nearby. It's true that the owner came right away and was super nice, but we recommend to explain that when you do the reservation, and maybe to inform the WiFi password in advance so the guests can contact the owner when arriving. .Not a hostel for people who travel alone (there is no common area)
