This is a really old building with wonderful character. It's been beautifully restored, right down to the gorgeous chandeliers throughout. It's extremely clean and comfortable too. We were in a large double room and it was very spacious indeed, with a nice big fridge and kettle/coffee etc - there is also coffee available downstairs, with milk on request. We opted for breakfast, which was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are all friendly and very eager to make sure guests are comfortable and have what they need. This is the first time we've stayed on the Asian side of Istanbul but it won't be the last - and we'll head straight to the Ikiz Konak when we come back.

The owners and staff were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. First visit to Istanbul so we weren’t sure where to stay. After travelling all over the city (and beyond) we definitely chose well in Kadiköy and even better in ikiz Konak. It’s only about 10 minutes walk from the Kadiköy ferry terminal and from there it’s easy to travel anywhere from there. Only 10-15 mins walk from train stations too. The room was spotless and well finished. It was also quiet considering you were close to the centre of Kadiköy. Fantastic

Nothing. Absolutely everything about the place was exceptional.

This little hotel is excellently located near the heart of Kadikoy. Close to ferries, metro, bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. Having said that it is an oasis of peace and quiet also offering a 24 hour reception. Whilst the area is gritty we loved its authenticity and felt very safe. The staff were always accommodating and happy to help in whatever way we needed. The Turkish breakfast, enjoyed in the garden area, was plentiful and a great start to the day, especially the Turkish coffee.

It felt like coming home. Our room, the garden, everything felt like you're at home and not in a hotel. It's a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely come back. The whole building is renovated with love and dedication. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The whole place just felt very tranquil.. The breakfast, served at the beautiful garden area, was amazing! Don't skip breakfast at Ikiz Konak as it is made with lots of love! We were especially happy to have the famous Istanbul cats around us while enjoying our time there! It's also very nice to come to the garden and enjoy tea and just feel at home. The host and all staff are super friendly and warm. I have no other words than to describe it like staying at a family home. We stayed there for three nights and regretted it not staying longer! Thank you all for creating such a nice place and welcoming us!

There is nothing you can't like at this place!

Very friendly and flexible staff, and a real nice and clean hotel. We had a spacious room on the interior side, which was very calm, but the hotel is in a calm street anyways. There is also a common garden and kitchen where coffee and tea are non-stop available. Public transport (metro, boat) to move around in the city is close-by and excellent location to enjoy Moda.

The only thing I can think of is that the bathroom is on the small side (although it does not bother that much as it is modern, and leaves the room with more space).

It's not just a hotel; it's my home away from home. Returning to the hotel after exhilarating explorations across Istanbul feels like reuniting with dear family; every staff member welcomes me with genuine smiles and creating a cocoon of safety and belonging. The immaculate rooms are a delight to retreat to, ensuring a serene and comfortable stay. And oh, the breakfasts! Each meal prepared with such love and care, adding a delightful touch to my mornings and setting the tone for a day filled with new adventures.

The hotel felt cozy and new. Pretty rooms and a nice backyard with a kitchen fully stocked with coffee and tea. Bed was comfy. The area is quiet yet extremely close to the lively parts of Kadikoy. The staff was excellent and always very kind!

The bathroom in the room was extremely small and the shower head didn’t work properly (sprayed water all over). We solved it by using the hand held head. Still, overall the bathroom wasn’t as comfortable as the rest of the structure

The hotel is in a renovated Ottoman style historic monument, located in a quiet street in a very vibrant neighbourhood. Friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable provided with all the basic necessities. I liked that there was a lot of wood in the elements of the interior. Each time we returned to our room, we could recharge from sightseeing and go on to discover the wonders of Istanbul.

We could hear noises from all the rooms around us and the stairway. This was not a big deal because other guests and the staff weren't making much noise. The area around the hotel was also relatively quiet, we could hear the local animals, which amounted to one dog, one cat and the seagulls.

Great and helpful staff who all speak English, clean towels and water everyday, great breakfast and a great location near the metro and ferry!

The room itself was quite loud because we had the room next to the frontdoor and the street. There was also a misunderstanding with the payment and we’ve paid too much because of that. After we told the manager, he apologised and made sure the money was returned. He also added some free breakfast as an apology.
