I came here for 3 days and stayed almost 3 weeks. I will skip the part about all facilities. In short, everything is as you see it in the pics. Beds are comfy, have curtains for privacy. In the basement there is a small kitchen, also a kettle and fridge in each room/ dorm. The location (Kadikoy) is the best in Istanbul. Very well connected with the SAW airport and all touristic sights. The prices are much lower than on the European side and the real life is still happening here. But the best part is the staff. They make travellers feel at home. This hostel has a great vibe! It's not large, so it doesn't get crowded. It's not a party hostel, but with live music performances on weekends. With a cozy cafe where you can socialize or get your work done. And there are many more things. In short, if you read it, you should book your stay here 😈

I have stayed twice in Yolo hostel during my short trip to Turkey. Two nights, and since I liked the vibe of the hostel I spent again two nights there. The room was really nice, it had a bathroom with toilet and shower. The bed was confortable enough for me to don’t want to wake up on the morning early. There is a small bar downstairs to have a cup of coffee or tea. The good thing about staying on the Asian side of Istanbul, it’s when you go out of the hostel you directly can see the sea and can take the ferry to the European side. The Söğütlüçeşme station is super close to the hostel which was super convenient for me to continue my trip inside Turkey by train. One of the really nice think of this hostel is probably the staff. If I had a list of the best staff people I’ve met in hostel (which it’s not the case), they’ll probably rank high. In sum, leaving Yolo hostel was almost as sad as One Direction not getting back together.

Room very comfortable with quilt, bed curtains in the dorm, clean, lockers, excellent and clean hot water shower. On a peaceful street with arty cafes around it. Located a few blocks above the water and near two handy ferry stations. In a neighborhood with bars, restaurants, shopping and cafes that are excellent quality and more affordable than other parts of Istanbul. The hostel had a vintage downstairs cafe that served both coffees and alcohol from earlyish in the morning til midnight. Perfect place to stay in a great area. I didn't want to leave.

Perfect place. The only thing is that some of the keys can open more than one locker so I always had to walk around with my passports.

This place is quite extraordinary! Every dorm is like a mini flat - it has a small kitchenette (well, a kettle, sink & fridge) & the bathroom inside my dorm was spacious & to a very high standard. It even had a hairdryer. The beds have curtains & a light, charging point & small locker inside, & you also get a large locker for luggage. I've never slept so well in a hostel. It's very quiet, & the curtains on the beds (bespoke, solid, purpose built wooden bunks) seem to block out sound & light very well. The guy on reception was just lovely. There is a kitchen downstairs.

The beds were a little soft, & there isn't a lot of communal space for sitting. The WiFi is fine for browsing & social media but I found it wasn't super fast, video calls were a bit patchy. The good points of the hostel made up for this though!

I was earlier supposed to stay at Yolo for only 3 nights but ended up extending my stay to 5 nights.Although I had booked another hostel I just couldn’t get myself to leave Yolo. From the moment you enter Yolo you are made to feel at home. The staff are so kind and go out of the way to help you and make you feel comfortable. They also give the best recommendations for food in the area. I stayed in the female dorm and met so many amazing women solo travellers during my stay. The vibe at Yolo like Kadikoy is super chill and relaxed, where you can just be and do your own thing at your own pace. Really enjoyed spending time at their cafe sipping endless cups of çay and having beautiful conversations with the lovely people of Yolo.

I stayed at the same hostel for the 2nd time. It was same nice experience.I was glad with the price and location. Kadıköy is a great district to be in İstanbul. The hostel is cosy. What I like the most- is a friendly stuff and a calm friendly atmosphere. You can feel more lockal vibe of istanbul both in the hostel and in the district in comparison to other hostels in well-known locations. Lockal food worth trying, it is not expensive. There are plenty of options around. During both of my stays I had calm people in the room, whom I almost did not see or hear since everyone was besides the closed curtains. The privacy was very good.

Everything was same nice,highly appreciated. Maybe one of the smaller disadvantages was that the kitchen was not available this time(not sure was it temporaly or no),so I could not make tea or cook anything briefly. However, there is a fridge and a kettle in the room in case.

The hostel was very near the Kadakoy port and bus terminal. Just some few steps away. The bed was very comfortable. John (the receptionist when i checked-in) was very welcoming and helpful. The other receptionist (sorry i forgot to ask his name) when i checked out was very kind. He even gave me a cold bottled water coz he said it's very hot outside. I only stayed for a night but i'll be back for sure the next time.

Uhmm maybe when i opened my assigned cabinet and saw that there were clothes inside. But that's not a big deal. I only had a backpack so i just put it on a corner.

If you let yourself fall forward running along the steep street in front of the door, you will reach the harbor boulevard in a minute. If you climb up you will end up in the city center in a few minutes turning right at the end. Although I didn't have a booking having a long stop over a week before, I was welcome to use the internet and toilet during the day.

Although also in Istanbul most businesses go along with the rising prices and I didn't find anyone offering a better price, I believe €21 per night is quite high for what is being offered. Also maintenance was a bit low with a broken showerhead, curtain rail of the bed falling apart and information card falling down lacking proper fastener.

This place felt like heaven (after staying in a quite filthy airbnb-room for some days)! The staff was soooo friendly and the room perfectly clean and lovingly decorated. I would definitely come back anytime and recommend this beautiful little hostel to anyone. The location was perfect; everything within walking distance, very close to the ferry & buses. Thanks for making my stay in Kadıköy so lovely!

Only tiny downside; the fridge in the room can be a bit noisy at night - I had to sleep with earplugs, which wasn’t a problem for me. Otherwise very quiet.

I chose the hostel mainly because they have self-built bunk beds. Experience shows that that usually is a sign of a great hostel. And as expected the beds were really great with a curtain for privacy as well as an outlet and an additional small locker. The room itself also came with lockable lockers included as well as AC. The location is really great as well. Works great for both airports and for venturing into the city. Has many great places around for food and drinks. The staff is really nice and helpfull. Really adds to the hostel.

No elevator. Bathroom is inside the shared rooms. Good if you travel as a group. But can lead to problems when sharing the room with strangers as it is not very soundproof. Also, if it occupied, the only other toilet is in the basement and when arriving early you cannot already go and take a shower.
