I had an elegant, quite spacious room with 4 meters tall ceiling! Expect walking at least 20k steps per day when you're in Istanbul, and what you only want at the end of the day is sleeping in comfort(suuuper comfortable beds!) with a nice smell of the hotel (I have the name of the scent at that time, it's Fi from Nova). When you wake up, you're waking up to a beautiful room, isn't that nice to start the day? I lived in Kadikoy when I was studying in Istanbul, and I can say that the location is excellent. You can easily walk to ferries to go to Eminonu, Besiktas or just stay in Kadikoy to visit places! There's a Migros nearby for shopping, the street of the hotel is quite calm and the staff is very friendly and helpful! I have a few of the places where I could stay when I visit Istanbul and this one became one of the most preferred and recommended one!

The hotel is in a very central location; the staff are friendly and helpful (except for the lady of Russian origin—she hardly smiles). We stayed in a family room (middle floor) since there were 4 of us—the room is quite spacious. The only problem I can say is that the sound insulation is not good because it is an old building, and you can hear the guests walking on the upper floor. Secondly, the fly screens on the windows are not fitted properly (there are gaps). We could never open the windows because of mosquitoes (the air conditioning was always on in the evenings). It is very important to be able to open the windows in the middle of summer and for mosquitoes not to enter the room. It will be great if hotel management looks into this and repairs the fly screens & put mosquito catchers or candles should be placed in all rooms for guests comfort.

The price/quality ratio was great! The location is awesome for both exploring the European and Asian sides of Istanbul since it is just a few minutes from the ferry. The room was spacious and tidy, modestly but beautifully decorated. Blackout blinds! You’re about to get some good sleep if you don’t set an alarm 😆

The hotel was rather noisy. We were on the first floor and could hear people moving in the upper floors as well as the piping from time to time. The staff, albeit friendly and as helpful as they could, did not speak English and communication was difficult.

The hotel is good for having a place to sleep at while in Istanbul. The staff are very helpful and kind. The hotel's location is in a good neighbourhood to explore Istanbul thanks to the numerous means of transportation available in the property's vicinity. It is a hotel more suited for single travellers.

The rooms are small, so you can find bigger and more comfortable rooms in other cities for the same price (or cheaper). It is the type of room to which you come back late at night and sleep, whereas in other properties the rooms will be more spacious and thus provide a better price-quality ratio. Also bear in mind that other hotels have breakfast included for a similar (or lower) price, but that might apply mainly outside of Istanbul (or not in the city's areas most densely connected by means of transportation, and/or in areas located not as close to the city centre). I didn't see other rooms except for my own, but maybe it's better to come to this hotel only if you travel alone.

Good location, very nice staff

The bathroom smelled of sewage and had no ventilation system. We asked for cleaning one day but when we came back the reception said that the room hadn't been cleaned because when they were gonna clean it we were still in the room (we left for a few hours, came back to the room for 45 mins or so, then left again for a few hours, we even saw the mop bucket in front of another room when we left the second time). The floors are very creaky - if someone is walking in the hallway, we felt it on the bed. The lighting in the room is very orange. They had tea packets and a kettle stand, but no kettle and only provided 1 mug.

The hotel is cozy like you are staying in a local apartment. We like the location, it is not a common tourist spot location but it is very convenient to the nearest eating places, supermarket - Margos, bus station, ferry port (less than 10 mins walk) etc. We were here to experience the local life & soaked up the local vibes.Friendly & helpful staffs when we checked in and checked out. There is a big fridge (consider big) inside the room, under the table. I also like the cleaner who gave extra floor towels (3 for 4 people), so we can keep our feet dry and clean from the bathroom to the bedroom. The shower gel & shampoo inside the bathroom has no English label, so I did not know which was shower gel & shampoo. But it was not a big issue.

The bathroom is very tiny, even smaller than the bathroom when we were in Japan. I am 153cm height & 53kg, I hit on the shower screen every time I use the toilet/bathroom. There is not much space for me to move around. Maybe I was just clumsy.

Me and my partner enjoyed our stay a lot. The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is close to two metro stations, Marmaray and ferry terminal. There are many reasonably priced restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are perfect options just a minute or two away in the same street. Few important notes on the room itself that can come in handy to future visitors: We stayed in the basement room with a "garden." Note that the garden is more of a patio - no plants, very poor decorations, and it comes with a view into the neighbour's patio. It's comfortable, but not what I expected from the description. At night, the cats go a bit crazy on the patio roof, which could be an issue if you're a shallow sleeper. It wasn't an issue for us though. Lastly, cleaning seemed to be considered "optional" - it won't be done unless requested. We preferred it, since it allowed us to sleep in without worrying about being woken up by the cleaning staff. Nevertheless, this information is also not included on the page. Overall, the staff is very helpful. We especially enjoyed the night-shift workers. For this price (we payed around 290 euros for 5 nights), perfect.

The patio could do with some foliage, e.g. live plants or flowers. For taller people, the toilet offers very limited leg space (I had issues - 183 cm, my gf did not - 159 cm).

We had a room on the ground floor, and the young cats in the backyard were jumping around pretty noisily on the tin roof bordering our windows during early mornings. It was nothing that earplugs couldn't fix! The cats were super cute; you probably would not hear the cats on a higher floor.

Great place to stay, easy get to from Sabiha airport and can easily access to west side by ferry or Marmaray. Very central location and more affordable alternative European side while being able to access all of it easily.

Room is great and very clean. Only thing I can mention is, while it is not an issue functionally, ecstatically, might be good invest more to bathroom finish as the work done for sealing around seems not well done, and fixing the showering screen so it wouldn’t leak outside

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Otel Kadikoy very much. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and the location is great with easy access to basically anywhere in Istanbul (5-10 min walk to ferry/bus/metro) while you stay at a vibrant neighbourhood where you can find diverse restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. We had every basic need in the room (especially the air conditioner) and we were pleasantly surprised when the staff gave us as much bottled water as we needed for free. Definitely recommending this place if you are looking for a budget-friendly, decent accommodation near Bosphorus.

The shower drain was a bit clogged when we first got in but they resolved it shortly after. The window of the room was hard to close and reopen but the staff said we could have asked them to do it.
