This hotel was in a great location, just a short walk down the hill from the main metro station. The surrounding neighborhood had a lively, local vibe with plenty of small markets, restaurants, and shops nearby that were open late. As the apartment is situated on a hill, it may not be the best option for those who don't enjoy walking, but the tradeoff is that it feels hidden away from the main tourist areas. The host was incredibly hospitable and friendly - a pleasure to interact with. The room itself was well-equipped, with air conditioning to help beat the heat and a mini-fridge to keep drinks cool. While basic, it had everything we needed for our short stay in Istanbul.

The bathroom was quite small, which could be an issue for some. Additionally, the fridge in the room was a bit dirty, which was a minor annoyance.

The occupants of the neighboring room were arguing loudly late at night. It's not the hotel's fault.

As an experienced traveler, I do know how to distinguish between a 400€/night hotel and a really local and friendly environment which is gonna allow me to better understand the culture and the people in Turkey. This place is cheap and gives you a whole new experience. The Boss is awesome. Really. A good friend always aware of our needs and with a lot of details that made my stay memorable. Very good location and good food around the hotel. You can easily call a taxi if you don’t feel like walking uphill when leaving the place. Thanks!! We’ll come back!

Such a great stay. I'd like to thank the host who welcomed us upon arrival with se tea and provided useful information about the city. The room was comfortable and clean. Location was good too, close to the city centre (but in a local people neighbourhood), safe anyway.

Well, the TV did not have signal but we were not interested in watching it anyway. Regarding room cleaning, I'm not sure if they did it (probably not) but we did not want it neither, so none of these things were really a problem. So, if you get there just make sure to ask about it. Hot water was the only issue... We actually never had it.

Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome from Umut who made the stay easy and memorable. When I checked in he invited me to have tea together and reminded me to relax after a long day of travel which was very nice and set the tone for my trip. Umut helped organise airport transfers (to both European and Asian airports) at a very reasonable price and was always there to assist or provide any help which was much appreciated as a solo female traveller. The hotel is located a quick and easy walk from Taksim square and the room was clean and spacious. You will feel well looked after and in the company of a very friendly and hospitable local.

Very convenient location close to Taksim square with the all the transportation by hand. Very nice and cosy hotel with an amazing host who made you feel like at home and let me check in at 11:00 instead of the standard time which really made my day since I got to the property straight after 8 hour flight. At the day of the check out the host treated me to a couple cups of nice tea and we had a really nice chat.

It was my first time ever in Istanbul and staying at this little hotel gave me a chance to experience the vibrant and exciting ambience of Taksim (be ready for lots of steps and walking uphill though!) The room was cozy and spacious, an ideal option for my short stay. You can find lots of little shops and restaurants around, and it's just a 10 min walk to the airport bus shuttle. I definitely recommend this place for solo travellers.

The close location to the bus station and Taksim Square is definitely a selling point. The area around the hotel itself is quiet but you only need to walk a little bit to get into the bustle of the city. The owner was very kind and friendly as well - we had a great time.

The mini fridge could have been cleaner, but as we didn’t use it during our stay (ate out all the time) this didn’t impact us much.

we got a free room upgrade so it was fantastic. rooms were very spaciuos and clean. staff was very helpful.

there is no elevator. location is good and close to taksim however the neighberhood is really hard to walk specially with luggages.
