We spent 3 nights at the Katelya Hotel and we were very happy with our stay. The hotel has an amazingly central location in Istanbul with walking distance to many of the most famous attractions like the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is small and cute with a relaxing atmosphere and we were very satisfied with our room also. The people working at the hotel were super friendly and helpful, and they took care of transportation for us to get to the hotel from the Istanbul airport, and also when we had to go back to the airport on the last day. They also helped us with taking care of cleaning our laundry. The hotel breakfast was very good and the people taking care of breakfast made fresh omelettes for us every morning, which we very much appreciated. We would most definitely stay here again on our next trip to Istanbul.

My stay was wonderful, and the room was comfortable and clean. However, what truly made the difference for me was the exceptional hospitality of the hotel staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and eager to assist in any way they could. The feeling of being welcomed and knowing that the staff was always there to meet my needs made the experience even more special. I will definitely return and recommend Katelya Hotel to friends and family, as the quality of the people working there truly makes a difference. We chose this hotel based on the reviews we'd read and we must say that our stay at Katelya for 5 nights was the best we've ever had -and we travel quite a lot-. The location is excellent, a 5 min walk from the historic centre Sultanahmet and the tram station. It's a really safe area even after midnight. The hotel terrace has a million dollar view, one can see the Bosporus and listen to the seagulls. The hotel is a boutique one, very well maintained, tastefully decorated in a luxurious way and exceptionally clean. Our room ( 1st floor - sea view) was cleaned on a daily basis, large bottle of water refreshed, all towels and bathmat changed -even our shoes were placed in a neat order!-. The room itself is beautiful. All the pictures of Booking are correct, what you see is what you -thankfully- get. The receptionists ( Ferhat, the charming blonde girl whose name I cannot recall et.al) were all very kind, they honestly cared. As far as breakfast is concerned, it had everything, a combination of Turkish and Continental breakfast plus apart from boiled and scrambled eggs there was also omelette service upon request, big bonus for the egg lovers. Everything was homemade and delicious, with small daily twists which was appreciated since we stayed for almost a week. We booked a Turkish Hamam via the reception and that also included a pick up/drop off from the hotel. A must have experience! We also booked a taxi through the hotel to get us to the airport, it was totally worth it and was not expensive either. We give this hotel a solid 5 star - they will definitely be seeing more of us in the future!

The space of the bedroom for my family of 5.tge heater functioning well in winter time.they give us an apartment n is so huge.its a 1st floor without an elevator but the lady owner send a bellboy for us to bring all our luggages upstairs.we soooo appriciated with their concerned n kindness.they also reserved a parking for our car just immediately we arrived and keep contacting us when we will arrived to their place so they cab provided everything that we need.im so happy n thankful for their responsive.the buffet is so good,the chef and staff in kitchen prepared us fresh omellet even we are late for our lunch.if u need the peaceful environment,the coziness and cleanliness of the room,the perfect area which is nearest to sultanahmet,u should book this hotel.everythins if perfecttt!!

The location is right next to the Blue Mosque, so you are close to many attractions, as well as the tram station to quickly reach the rest. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of good choices and verry attentive kitchen staff. The room had plenty of space and it had almost everything you need. The hotel staff was extraordinary, especially Yunes (I hope I remeber his name well) who which we communicated the most. He helped us book a Bosforus ship tour and provided many other usefull information on how to get around and what to visit. We also had some good conversation as his English is great. I hope all hotels have people like him. Also, another good part was the parking space right next to the hotel, even if those streets are very packed. If you come by car, I would recommend to not plan to do many trips with it while there and use public transport as it is quite good. All in all we had a great stay at Katelya and we would stay again there if we go back to Istanbul.

The hotel being in the old town, there is quite some noise in the streets from time to time as the windows don't isolate perfectly, so I would recommend bringing some ear plugs with you while there if you know you have issues sleeping. I used mine everyday otherwise it would have been a bit hard to sleep. Anoher small minus I think are the matresses. It is quite hard for my taste. I believe this to be a Turkish thing as I found the same issue at another hotel in another area of the country.

The hotel is quite small but very cozy. The rooms are cleaned daily, and fresh towels are provided every day. The bed was comfortable, and the interior design was beautiful. There was also a kettle in the room with tea and coffee, which was a nice touch. The staff were great – very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions clearly, explained how to get to the places we wanted to visit, and gave us useful tips and recommendations. Breakfast was good – the hot dishes varied slightly each day: scrambled eggs, hot sandwiches, sausages, fried eggplants, and there were also some sweets, There were also some snacks, such as olives, cheese, ham, and more. The location is perfect – just a short walk from popular attractions like the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. In the evening, the view from the hotel’s terrace or nearby bars is absolutely stunning.

We discovered the wonderful city of Istanbul last year, in april. Since then, we have visited it 3 times. Three times, even if you stay 3-4 days, definetely are'nt enough to visit the places full of history, to get acquainted with the wonderful culture and customs of the Turkish people. This time (august 7-11, 2024) we chose the Katelya hotel. The hotel is very well positioned, it is very close (5-15 minutes of slow walking) to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern and the Topkapi Palace. The hotel has nice, comfortable rooms with small kitchenettes. On the roof, the hotel has a terrace with an amazing view of the city and the Sea of ​​Marmara. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. I would especially like to mention the receptionists Ferhat, Yunus and the manager Malik. They speak english very well, they help you with any question, at any time of day or night. Also, i would like to thank the hotel maids, who kept the rooms perfectly clean. As i wrote above, we will return to Istanbul many more times and every time we will book our rooms at this hotel.

Big thanks to the cleaning team 🙌 New bottle of water and room cleaning on the each day (whenever you are away from your room), welcoming çay and personalized gift at the checking in and also at the checking out...Wi-Fi is open but it might be a password protected for securing a better internet connection for guests only. Location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk down the hill from Hagia Sophia/Blue Mosque. The staff went above and beyond to help us, including carrying our bags up the stairs at midnight when we arrived. They are fantastic to a level that is not expected in a hotel of this price point. I felt like we received 5-Star service. This hotel had the perfect room/apartment for my family. Clean, stylish, and well-stocked kitchen. It was great for our 3 small kids, and the breakfast buffet had something that everyone would eat. My whole family loved this hotel so much!

Very nice hotel! Exellent location, room with sea view was clean and tidy. Good breakfast was included in room rate. Helpful and very polite staff was ready to support any time. We've got some minor problems with taxi and guy on reception help us to resolve the issue. All main city landmarks are extremely close to hotel 5-10 minutes walk. A lot of restaraunts, cafes are in close proximity to hotel. High speed sustainable internet. Thank you.
