The Marmara Guesthouse is located in a small house within the city center in a touristic area with many hotels located nearby. The house space is limited, but very authentic. Rooms are small, but nicely equiped and clean. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good and rich in different things (due to less space at the house the breakfast has to be eaten in the rooms). Room cleaning service was done every day, always new towels were brought - we stayed for 3 nights. The price value is good and they offer an airport pickup, which is especially interesting, when you arrive in the night in Istanbul. I would stay there again, when I would visit Istanbul once more.

Bathroom smelled a little bit due to the building properties but there we found a good solution for this: We put the parfumed incense sticks from the sleeping room into the bathroom and the problem was solved. ;-) Due to the small room the room heated a little bit up during day and the air con was the best option to cool it down. Air con blowed the air a little bit at the face direction in the bed.

This is such a gem in an amazing location, for a great price. The owner is so helpful and considerate, the room has got everything you need, and it was definitely luxurious for us. It’s great the room has a kettle, with tea and coffee provided by the hotel. It is truly a lovely place to come back to after a busy day exploring Istanbul. 100% recommend.

I didn’t love the bathroom/wetroom, as when you’ve had a shower, the toilet and everything is wet. However, this seems to be very common in Turkey so it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Perfect location. The view of the Marmara Sea is spectacular. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Little extras like slippers and a hairdryer were much appreciated. Saban is an excellent host and offered lot’s of information and recommendations on what to do and see in Istanbul. Very happy. Highly recommend this property.

Marmara House & Apartments was an amazing option for us, since is so well located in the heart of Istanbul, 5-10min. by foot to the most important tourist attractions like Hagya Sophia or Blue Mosque, so close to thousands of restaurants, coffee shops, markets and also with good public transportation connections. The flat is very clean, equiped with more than you might need for a couple of days staying there. The hospitality of the owners is at highest standards possible, we had a really nice communication with them before and during our stay. The price was also more than great. Those being said, we strongly recommend other guests to stay here! Thank you so much again and hopefully we can meet each other again very soon! 10 stars+ for both the host and the flat. :-)

The location was the best part of this bed and breakfast, it was walking distance from the bazaar, Sophia H, Blue Mosque. Incredibly located!! Then the host Shaban was amazing, kind, supportive, informative. This works really like a service apt, so don't go in expecting round the clock service. The staff were great when they were present in the morning. The room was charming with a nice view of the sea.

The toilet was clean, but there was no railing to hang one's bath towel or hook to hang clothes. But that was a very small blip and the only reason i did not give an excellent to the facilities.

It was a lovely, cozy and comfortable place. Breathtaking views of sunset at the coast of sea of Marmarah, stone’s throw away from Sultanahmet mosque, Topkapi and Hagia Sophia. The owner and his cat were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The cat … oh she wouldn’t let me through late one night before getting belly rubs and head scratches.

For me it wasn’t a deal breaker but if your knees are not what they used to be, get room on ground floor as the steps are narrow and steep.

As a solo traveller the location was perfect to walk to attractions in the Old Town. I really liked the property owner. He was so welcoming and helpful. The room was cleaned every day and loved how much space there was. The view of the harbour from my window was an added bonus. Lots of restaurants and mini markets in the area. I recommend booking your taxis and shuttles through the property. Same price if you book it yourself but they will handle any questions or issues for you. Thank you for your hospitality.

Everything was perfect . The rooms are small but very cozy and clean ( we sleped very well ) . It was quiet on the night , no noises from outside or other things like that . The owner of hotel was very nice , he helped us with all we asked for , he even made the reservation for Bosphorus for us . The hotel is near the Blue Mosque (5-6 min ).Aaand also the owner kept our luggages all day to help us because we had the bus to Romania at 7 in the evening . Reccomand !!!!

Very friendly and helpful host, very good communication during all process of booking. The room was cozy, embellished with pretty details and quite comfy/spacious for Istanbul average at a very good price. Daily cleaning service very appreciated. Perfect location at walking distance to all Sultanahmet wonders but still very quiet. The quietest accommodation of my journey.

Toilette is nicely tiled but very small and the shower runs right in the middle. Yet the drainage is so good that I hardly felt the need of a proper tray shower or a curtain.

The customer service is pretty good, Shannon is a good guy and very willing to help, the neirghboors were very nice to me too (thank you Ramazan!!!) . Turkish are lovely people!!! Salam Aleikum :) !

The pillows were a bit hard for me, personally I prefer softer pillows, (but is a preference, they were good enough to sleep on it) Since I went in summer, I recommend to keep the welcoming water in the fridge so is cold on arrival. The love of Allah was a bit too hard for me at 430 am xD (internal joke). There is a mosque about 2 blocks away and it will raise the sound very early so people can pray. is unavoidable and pat of the country culture, so next time I´m bringing earplugs.
