The receptionist Abdullah, he is an incredibly kind and helpful man who recommended us a very nice restaurant the first night where we were treated very well, he also organised a Bosphorus tour for us and he gave us lots of information about things to do in Istanbul. And he was also very helpful when we had questions regarding travel around Istanbul. For Abdullah we would give him a 10/10 The location is also very very good, it’s around a 5-10 minute walk to Ayasofya, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and Sultanahmet tram station from which you can easily get to Sirkeci/Eminonu and from there connect to the rest of Istanbul.

The cleanliness overall could have been slightly better, we had to ask to have the room re-cleaned because it did not appear to have been properly cleaned in the first place and towels changed. That being said when we told the receptionist he was very quick to get the problem sorted and the room was noticeably cleaner the next day.

If you’re looking for a comfy and clean hotel in the old part of the town, with charming streets and some of the main attractions at walking distance, look no further than Efzen. The hotel’s location is just perfect, and the rooms are comfortable and super clean, equipped with all the little things you might need: cosmetics, tea, every day fresh towels and linen, and even umbrellas for rainy days. The best part is the concierges and hotel staff. The guys were always helpful, whether we needed a taxi, hammam recommendations, or a friendly chat on Turkish cultural norms.

Proximity to blue mosque, hagia sofia, topkapi palace, sultanahmet tram point, The balcony oversees a small green garden with beautiful flowers. One can enjoy a beautiful sunrise on the balcony, sipping some turkish tea. The reception staff were kind and helpful. Hotel offers laundry services. Spacious room.

Our room was on the ground floor. And reception was just next door. You can hear voices loud and clear inside our room, which can be very disturbing and give you a headache, especially if u had an almost 10 hour flight and wish to catch some sleep. The bed was too soft, and I started having back pain when waking up after 2 days.

Location was good very close to ayasofia, blue mosque and tram station. A quiet neigbour hood and easasily reachable. beds were comfy and the white decor is very elegant. Staff too was quite coopertaive, Esp Mr Firat and Mr Beck. we stayed twice during our stay. Family Room was very nice with garden view. I would recommend this place... despite its easily reachable location, family friendly atmosphere and a peacefull neighbour hood ..... the cost is very friendly. unlike that in Istiklal street of Galata tgwer side.

some of the staff was bussiness oreinted except for Mr Firat, who was very helpfull and freindly. Most of themf are part-timer students. The room opposite reception is quite noisy late night due working of staff and reception desk. there is a low rumble of train that passes by every now & then, but its not an incoveinenece.

We recommend this hotel because 1) it is close to many of the interesting monuments that you can easily visit in 1 day (finish with Topkapi Palace) 2) yet it is located remote from the concussion in a calm area 3) The shower works perfectly, with hot water and nice water pressure, and a working drain. Usually, wherever I go, I have to fix the shower first, then extract tons of hair and other waste of hundreds of clients from the clogged drain before I can take a shower. A hot shower is important when you walk all day long. 4) Abdullah, at the reception, is very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a nice view on the sea for some rooms. It is next to a railway track but only few trains pass, hence no important nuisance. Good balance between price and quality.

The room cleaning can be improved.

The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the Ayasofya and the Blue Mosque, right in the heart of the historical part of Istanbul. Ideal if you want to explore the most important sights on foot, without the need for public transport. What made this stay especially special was Abdullah – the guy who works here and who has already been mentioned by many in the reviews. It was thanks to these compliments that I chose this accommodation – and I was not wrong. Abdullah is extremely kind, helpful and always ready to help. His warmth and hospitality really leave an impression, so much so that you want to return to Istanbul just for how you felt here. All recommendations!

The staff could speak English very well and you don't have any problems if you don't know Turkish. They help you find taxis or anything that needs Turkish language. The room was really clean and tidy and the location of the hotel is near to historical areas.

My room was on the last floor and the hotel doesn't have an elevator. This made it difficult for me to go back and forth to the room frequently because I would get tired due to the many stairs. But don't worry about your luggage, the staff will help you carry it. Unfortunately, four of the lights in my room were burnt out, which made the room a bit dark.

The hotel has very good location, many main sights (e.g. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar) are within walkable distance, the place is clean and decent and has the basic facilities for a few nights' stay.

My room was rather small but that was OK for me since I only spent the nights there; otherwise it was very good value for money.

I had a wonderful stay at Efezn Hotel! The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making it a great place to relax after exploring Istanbul. One of the biggest highlights of my stay was the excellent service—especially from the manager, Abdullah, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout my visit. The location of the hotel is perfect for tourists. It’s just a 10-minute walk to all the major attractions, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. Plus, being so close to the tram station made getting around the city very easy and convenient. Overall, Efezn Hotel offers great value for money with its comfort, location, and outstanding service.
