We spent a week in a triple room in this lively neighborhood. The room was quiet on the 4th floor despite the many people and businesses on the streets below. The staff was always friendly and helped with whatever we needed. Breakfast on the top terrace was a treat with the great view. We usually ate something small and went to one of the many coffee shops/bakeries in the area. Sometimes I took a beer up to the terrace in the afternoon where I was always the only person there. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious for three. The AC unit was great and we appreciated the in-room fridge. I really liked staying in this location in Istanbul. Fewer tourists than the European side. It was easy to take public transport including the ferry all around town. This isn't a fancy hotel but quite comfortable for a week. No elevator, by the way.

The bathroom stayed rather humid as though the fan wasn't working well. Towels took forever to dry. Breakfast choices sometimes didn't stay hot or cold. (cold eggs, warm yogurt). The choices were the same everyday and after a week, a little boring.

Hello! My daughter and me enjoyed almost everything 🥰! The location of the hotel is 👍 perfect, the service in the hotel is wonderful, the room is cleaned everyday. I enjoyed the breakfast: coffee, several cheese, sausages, omelette, the boiled eggs, olives🔥, watermelon, cookies! It is so delicious 😍. The young man on the reception ( I can’ remember his name, his English is perfect☺️)was always in a hand, much helpful. He never refused to help us. The harbour is 5 minutes by hike. There is a numerous number of restaurants and cafes near by🔥. Take in mind the streets are crowded and it is a kind of Asian Istanbul vibe😍

This place was amazing. The room was spacious and bright, it had two large windows that opened to the street below. There was a large bathroom, a desk, a fridge, an electric kettle, a wardrobe. It was a lovely place to stay, the staff were all very friendly and most could speak English. The location was pimp too, shop, restaurants on the same block, the boat terminal 10 min walk and the boardwalk along the sea the same distance. Breakfast was great as well. It was also clean and smelled good. WiFi worked good.

Excellent location! Very convenient to get here from Sabiha Airport – just take the transport from terminal to terminal and walk 10 minutes. The hotel is right in the heart of a lively tourist area, so all the joys of traveling—restaurants, bars, and shopping—are just around the corner. Despite being in such a vibrant spot, it was surprisingly quiet at night. I really liked the breakfast on the terrace with a nice view. The room was compact but cozy. There is no elevator, but the staff kindly helped carry the luggage up and down. A special thanks to the staff – such kind and friendly people! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. I’d love to return if I get the chance!

The bathroom door in the room was very difficult to close.

Located just about in the middle of everything in the area, 5 minutes straight walk from the subway station Kadıköy. Easy and fast check-in and check-out. Good breakfast on the upper storey and a terrace. Helpful frontdesk staff.

No elevator. Loud call to prayer from the mosque's minaret nearby. No normal amount shower gel or shampoo - just a tiny vial of a shampoo and a small soap bar. Dirty windows don't let enjoy the view of the streets. Come on, guys! It's just two easy European style windows. No electric outlets by the table with the electric kettle on it! :)) We had to plug it in on the bedside table.

Perfect for flying into Sabiha-Gokcen airport. Unlike other cities where it costs a fortune, Metro train to Kadikoy is cheap, fast & convenient for a 5 mins walk up hill to hotel. Very friendly n helpful reception - big hi to the guy who looks like Man Utd’s manager lol. Narrow entrance and no lift so leave heavy luggage at home. Given bigger room which was a welcome bonus for us thanks! Wide, comfy double bed & sofa bed, TV, aircon, tea/coffee kettle n fridge with water bottles - Super shower. Tasty n varied breakfast on balcony with a view of Bosphorus n Golden Horn in distance. Ferries to many destinations at bottom of hill so very easy n cheap to get around amazing city. Many bars, restaurants n shops of all kinds right on doorstep. Gr8 value - hope to return

A delightful little hotel in the bohemian Caferağa area of Kadıköy, within a short distance of the Kadıköy pier that provides access to the European part of Istanbul. The hotel has a pleasant vibe despite the somewhat rundown air around the area (which I, personally, liked). It is surrounded by shops and restaurants full of people late into the night, and everyone is friendly. In fact, I liked the area so much that I've booked a room in this hotel again! The family rooms in this hotel are good and clean, with a high ceiling and pleasant design. The delicious breakfast on the top floor will provide you with good exercise in the morning. There is also a terrace with good views of the neighbouring area. If you want to stay in Kadıköy, you can do much worse than stay in this lovely little hotel.

The only negative, if it is a negative, is the absence of a lift - you have to go up several flights of stairs to have breakfast, but the view is worth it!

The Location is great, near Metro, Ferry & Busses stops. Near the shopping & dine area, all you need is walking distance. Breakfast is great, coffee, juices, toast, eggs, sausages, Veggie, cheese & Ham and variaties choices of breads. The room for 4 person is quite good, the fourth bed was a sofa bed. Heater is working properly, but we need to open the window since it's too hot. The hotel was so kind since our flight is delayed and we arrived at 12am but they welcomed us dearly.

The Air Conditioner was lock so we can't set the temperature as we want, but it's okay we can open the window if we feel hot the room. There's no elevator so we use stair and bring our luggages to the room.

We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel, and I want to say, it’s been a long time since I’ve been this satisfied! We traveled as a family with two children, and everything was just perfect. Let me take a moment to highlight the staff and their exceptional service – they were simply outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and always polite, they even took the time to chat with our little ones, making them feel special. The breakfast was amazing, with freshly baked pastries – a rarity in most hotels. The staff were always helpful and incredibly supportive, going above and beyond to assist us. It was no surprise to see so many returning guests during our stay! The location was fantastic, and the internet worked flawlessly, which was a big plus. If we ever return to this part of Istanbul, we will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for everything!

First of all the location, which takes you deep into the Turkish way of living very well preserved. The area is strewn with Art and Antiques. Second was the the extremely polite and honest helpfull staff.Thirdly the property though very old is very well maintained, and all utillities were working fine. No doubt that the property lived up to its 9+ ratings. Fourthly the entire neighbourhood is extremely nice and couteous totally living up to its very hospitable and pleasant Turkish tradition. Fifth the property and location of Kadikoy (Khalkedon) is central. So all in all worth everything you put in a trip. A big thank you to Khalkedon hotel.

Just the absence of a elevator. Wonder if they can do an external one.
