We spent 13 days here, which were very important to us. We celebrated an anniversary, a wedding and a birthday. Salaheddin is very kind and the breakfast lady, but the whole staff is wonderful. The hotel has all the advantages.

As described in the reviews. It's very good value for money, everything works well, for a three star hotel. It's well run, and the manager was very helpful (considering I don't speak Turkish). It's in a busy part of town, 3 minutes from a metro interchange and right next to the bus depo, so good access to Istanbul. Main road with big names like KFC etc... plus quality local restaurants / shops is only 5 minutes walk away. Quality Zulu African restaurant practically next door. But as with any busy area it's noisy but the rooms have good sound insulation and effective Air Conditioners. Only one English speaking channel BBC World service, but Netflix works on wi-fi. Very pleasant stay.

A bit dated, but rooms are smarter than most 3 star places and value is better than expected - so not complaining. Wi-fi is typical Istanbul speed (not super fast).

The hotel was super clean!! Always quite and peaceful. Omg....The staff was extremely professional, welcoming, helpful, very warm and cozy people! They will treat you like family! I can't thank enough Abdoul, Rashaad, Ali,Salahadin,the cleaning ladies and the breakfast buffet crew. They made my first trip to İstanbul MEMORABLE!!! I recommend hotel Mekke to everybody traveling to Istanbul. Great location ( near the ATM, Supermarket, Restaurants ,Cafe, Pharmacy and shopping). Great breakfast buffet as well!! Merci pour tout! You guys are the BEST!!

All went more than I expected!!

The staff was friendly and spoke our language. Mister Resat was kind and presented us with a fruit plate so I got to taste an "erik" for the first time. For breakfast we had a few options. There were the standard options but also something different / traditional everyday which I found nice. The location is close to the tram and metro station.

The family room was not that spacious. The downfall of the location was that it was a busy area. Apparently drivers don't care if it's the middle of the night, they will still honk.

It's a really nice hotel in the heart of Istanbul, everything was pretty close, the hotel was clean and the hotel staff was very nice and welcoming, especially Riyadh. It's a cheap and comfortable place to stay in Istanbul

The area was a bit noisiy, especially in the morning and evening.

Staff are very helpful, speak very good English. The furniture are very new. Very clean room always. Very close to Yenkapi metro station. Very good location, surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets, shops etc. Breakfast was excellent.

Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff (Mr. Tekin, Reşat, Riyad, Lara...). The location is in proximity to a central metro station, supermarkets, restaurants, and tramway station. The breakfast was decent.

The internet can sometimes get laggy.

We spent a weekend in Istanbul, decided not to spend much on accommodation. The hotel is located within walking distance of the metro, which was important for us to move comfortably. We booked a room, but upon arrival the room was upgraded to a family room at the same price, although we did not ask for it.

I liked the size of the Hotel that was perfect and the toilets and the sofa and the bed was really clean and then I did never expect the breakfast to be so good and Akram and Riyadh was the best staff in the hotel

The Breakfast was good , as usual as any Turkish budget hotel would offer. Initially I was worried about cleanliness but nice thing is that as soon as we told the manager about it, immediate action was taken...and that is fantastic. The Hotel is in Aksaray which is a hub for retail & Commercial and you will find that its crowded by people from different parts of the world, but not tourist. The hotel is only minutes from Metro,trams and buses. Would I stay there again? If I wanted a different environment then a tourist hub and save on paying more at rip off tourist area.... I would stay here. The staff & Managers go beyond to please you... OfCourse you need to be reasonable NOT DEMANDING!

If you are ok with staying away from the Tourist hub and ok with a budget Hotel, this area will save you a lot of money, The restaurants are 1/2 the price then in Fatih or Itsakaal , to visit tourist area, take any bus,metro or tram and you will be there within 20 minutes.
