Location is great, they have everything you need even sewing kit. The shower was amazing, bed was comfortable. Staff was polite. I had a breakfast opportunity but never used it, so can’t comment. All their buttons like “do not disturb” or “I need cleaning” work and the staff is careful about it. My experience in this hotel was nice. I would stay here again, but … :)

It was dusty, floor was also dusty with black men hair on it. The room looked like it was cleaned but a long time ago, as if no one stayed there for a couple of weeks and floor wasn’t cleaned for a couple of weeks too. I would be so happy if the hotel refreshed the room before my arrival. And when I ordered food I had to come down all the time, I don’t do this in other hotels, but this hotel’s rules were different. I followed them even though it wasn’t comfortable. Like.. I ordered food and while I’m waiting I go take a shower .. after a shower I need to put my street clothes again to go meet a courier. These 2 details were upsetting. But in total the experience was nice.

First of all we want to thank Tugrul ( hopefully right spelling ) he checked us in and out and was extremely helpful when we asked for a different room. I am quite a light sleeper and the room on the 2nd floor was a bit noisy so he immediately gave us another on the 6th. Perfect. He was helpful, professional and kind. Hope his boss reads this 😁 The room had everything comfortable bed, great shower, the fact the complimentary water was replenished everyday…fantastic. Location is very good easy to get around either by public transport or on foot and there are plenty or restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Certainly stay there again if we go back to Izmir.

Wifi is not great

Very comfortable, large bed. Doona was made of cotton, not synthetic, which was particularly nice. Great Blackout curtains and reading lamps. Very friendly staff, great hot water and lovely shower.

There were no toiletries in the rooms apart from soap - no shampoo or conditioner. We had to use soap to wash out hair, it was the only hotel we stayed at in Turkiye that didn't provide shampoo, conditioner and body location. Breakfast was good, but there was an additional charge for orange juice. This was also the fist time we'd been charged for orange juice in the 8 hotels we stayed at in Turkiye.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff. They even allowed me to check in early, which was a great convenience. The hotel's foyer is sleek and modern, with comfortable seating that invites you to relax. Breakfast is served in a restaurant adjoining the hotel, and the seating area is spacious. Unfortunately, my tour bus arrived early, so I missed out on the full breakfast experience. However, I did catch a glimpse of the buffet offerings, and they looked absolutely delicious. The room itself lived up to its promises on Booking.com, with all the advertised amenities. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Although my stay was brief, I found the hotel's location convenient. If I'm ever in the area again, I won't hesitate to choose this hotel for my accommodation.

The hotel has a great location in the lively Alsancak neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and bars. The rooms are quite big, which makes it nice for travelling with family as well. The breakfast buffet has plenty of options. The staff is friendly.

There was so much food at the breakfast buffet that our only concern is food waste, but perhaps they have found a solution for that as well. Otherwise, that would be our only suggestion :)

Great facilities, with staff who can speak decent English (not common in Izmir). Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great variety of food for breakfast, with both savory and sweet options. Coffee and tea offered for free for breakfast, free instant coffee in the room. Great decoration all throughout. Great location.

The reception stank to cigarettes, the coffee in the breakfast was very weak, almost like dirty water, the lifts were a tad slow. No free juice or cold drink is included in the breakfast. There's a touch panel by the bedside that allows to control the lighting but its own blue lights are very disturbing at night.

Very well located (~2 minutes' walk to the waterfront, numerous restaurants and bars nearby), clean and well equipped room with helpful staff. Recommended.

Breakfast was good but perhaps a little limited - the included breakfast did not feature coffee for example (Turkish cay is available) or juice. Numerous coronavirus warning signs, restrictions etc in place - although these were not problematic I found it a little jarring. Appreciate this is personal choice however.

The location of the hotel is really good, staff is kind and helpful. The room was very nice, the only thing I hadn't realised was that this hotel also has smoking rooms so when I first walked in there was a bit of a cigarette smell. It's not a big deal ( others I would ask for another room), but it's something to consider while booking. Very good breakfast, I was able to store my luggage after check out as well. As it's over a restaurant street, you can hear the noise from outside.

Book a non-smoking room if you are not a smoker.

Hay Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, thanks to the staff and the facilities. The room is modernly equipped and is much more beautiful than in the pictures. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is large and modern. I felt like at home. I especially thank him The breakfast is fantastic, the restaurant staff very attentive to your needs, the only real minus is that the restaurant staff do not speak English, apart from 2 of them, which makes communication a bit difficult. The location is a dream, you have the sea next to you, the pedestrian street with terraces, restaurants, shops, etc. If I come to Izmir again, I will definitely stay at Hay Hotel Alsankac again!

Nothing, everything was great!

An excellent hotel with a perfect location in a lively area with access to the metro, ferry, tram and Alsancak's vibrant boulevards. Very polite and attentive staff. The rooms have an intelligent communication system with an electronic display outside the room to request cleaning, do not disturb and to inform that the room was occupied. On my last day I had to leave before breakfast and asked for a breakfast pack to take with me. They prepared a marvellous, thoughtful breakfast in the best Turkish style.
