The friendly atmosphere from the crew together in that lovely garden is very pleasant. Close to the train station + Metro + Buses and near to the airport makes a mixture of modern traveling and being in an traditional old quartier. The room had a desk a chair a wardrobe and many hangers and there where hooks in places that was quiet practical - together with the aircondition I slept very well and everything felt comfortable. Also the kitchen was well equipped with good pots and pans and whatever else you might needed they looked out to help you.

The shower and the toilets were a bit small and not very comfortable. Beside that everyone had to change there streetshoes and you had to choose out of a collection they really don’t fit and my toes get scratched - please have maybe just Flipflops or any other soft Pantoffel.. I don’t think it is necessary to warn people not to touch the plants in the garden???

As a fancy traveler, this was my second hostel experience. I enjoyed it a lot this time. Especially one of the workers. Mehmet was a lot of fun. We shared the same typ of humor. Sadly I only saw him one day. I had a private room which was extremly big and spacious. The kitchen was cute, although I never used it because there were tons of restaurants near the hostel.. WlillI| go again? Actually I might.

I took one star off because of the room. The windows... they had a mind of their own. They moved a lot when it got windy so i had to stuff the gaps with my socks in order to sleep. The joint bathroom was a bit small for a big dude like me but there was immediate hot water

Very friendly staff, amazing breakfast in a nice patio-with-garden. Quite a big room in a nice old building with very high ceilings, and some nice extra like a electric water kettle. Lots of travelers, with lots of stories, which gives it a nice buzz. Good location, in a neighbourhood that felt safe, close to the Kemeralti Bazar, and very close to the Basmane train station/Izban metro.

It's an old building, so it comes with some defects, but nothing serious.

It’s a very nice house with an awesome garden incl. chicken and cats. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and always helpful! The atmosphere was very pleasant. It’s also relatively quiet over night and in walking distance to the bazaar and Alsancak. I was travelling alone as a woman. I did not have any problems or bad experiences on the streets. However, I would not have walked the streets alone after 10pm.

The only real outdoor chill-out area is a smoking area, what makes it a bit uncomfortable for non-smokers.

Choscu n Shahika were wonderful from the moment I entered. They kindly n patiently answered all my questions and just have the gift of hospitality. People in the hostel biz should, but a lot don’t. I loved talking with them. I was so sad to leave them. The vibe in this hostel is what makes for a true hosteling experience and completely outweighs the fact that the facilities are on the old side.

That stove in the common area could get pretty smoky. Had a lot of great conversations in that common area, but it’d be nicer with a little more seating. The bathroom/shower areas are a little funky, but they’re ok for a hostel. The bicycle could use a little maintenance, but it did work.

The location is right next to the Train Station. It is truly for the backpacker. I met a varied and diverse set of people here. If only, I had more time to spend in Izmir. I know people who met here and combined plans and helped each other plan trips to each other's home countries. The location is amazing, the garden and the coop is truly a vibe. The kitchen is well equipped as well. The staff , the staff, the staff specifically the tall Kurdish Guy - sorry I forgot the name, was so kind to help me figure out transport and helped me in every way possible. Loved the people, vibe, location and the staff.

The property was like heaven for me🫂 My favorite part was the garden, it was gorgeous, there was a cat family🥹😍 so green and cozy. After city tiredness you enter a paradise 💜🌹🌹 I loved the furniture inside. It has a very bohemian vibe and comfortable to walk around. The staff was very kind, nice and helpful 🙏🙌🌹 also I loved my top bed, it was very comfortable and it was like a private space even though I was staying in a hostel 💃🏻💃🏻. Everyone who stayed at the hostel was very friendly and polite. Nothing like a multicultural night chat 🌹🫂💜 Finally, it is two minutes away from the metro and you can visit the most beautiful places and historical sites of Izmir on foot. %100 recommended. 🌞🌙😘

I love everything

Great family like atmosphere, breakfast as a group setting at one table. Pleasant indoor/outdoor oasis with chickens, water fountain, cozy swing, etc... laundry available in the afternoon, then hung up to air dry about 3 hours to dry. Many washrooms, shared kitchen. They have a couple of single rooms & mixed/family rooms too upstairs & down. Lovely place great location!

Noise of people coming & going. It's close to a loud speaker for when the Mosque does its chants at 10:30pm you can hear this no problem! I, for one, am not used to moise, I live out in the country.

Fun hostel - lots of people milling about and happy to chat. Staff were very helpful, recommended places to visit on my trip around the country. Decent sized bed that was comfortable enough. The kittens were ADORABLE!

There was an unpleasant smell in the WC which was also very small. I didn’t use the kitchen for a similar reason. I don’t think it was necessarily dirty - maybe just an issue with pipes, but still not nice. Location felt uncomfortable - I didn’t like walking home after dark on my own (which I didn’t feel elsewhere).

there is a great vibe in the hostel, good place to meet people. The garden and common areas are really well curated and nice to spend time there. The staff is super friendly and helpful. the location is good despite not being central, very close to small bazaar area with good options for food and super close to main train station for Efes or metro.

The bathrooms at ground floor really need an upgrade and a bit more cleaning.
