Small cosy hotel in a central part of the city - very convenient for public transport (railway, metro, tram and buses), old town, cafés and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff, quite nice breakfast and tea at all times. Small room had everything we needed, the air conditioning worked well.

Our room did not have a door or curtain in the shower, which was not very convenient. We were promised a small breakfast on the day of departure (we were leaving very early in the morning and asked if this was possible), but there was no breakfast - unpleasant for a whole day on the road. But apart from this incident the communication with the staff was very positive. The stairs in the hotel are very steep - perhaps useful information for elderly and disabled people.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Olimpiyat Hotel and would stay there again. The room was nice and the staff were super helpful. The hotel is close to Basmane Metro station and to the tram line. On our first full day, we hired a car and the hotel provided parking in the locked, single car garage on-site. Due to the narrow streets, they insisted on guiding us in and out of the garage. The staff were always helpful with advice and generous with their time.

The air conditioner struggled a little but Europe and Turkey were in a heatwave while we were there.

The stuff is very welcoming, smiley, helpful. Breakfast has a great variety of food. I couldn’t taste everything. I ate so much that I wasn’t hungry until 2.30 pm for lunch. Location is great. Next to the big park. There was book fair. Next to the metro station. Very convenient to go to the airport. Next to the shuttle service of intercity coaches. I had suitcases to walk 5 minutes to go to Istanbul and Bodrum. The hotel is clean. WiFi works well. Quiet no traffic noise but you hear the morning prayer from the mosque. Normal for Turkey.

No lift 🛗 but they carried my luggage. Also the street is cobblestone for a short stretch. As an old lady with heavy suitcases was difficult to roll on their wheels. However, I always found someone to help. Turks are very kind.

First of all you have to think of the price. I wouldn't give 10 if I had paid a lot of money. For that price the location was perfect for me. I arrived from the airport by train and metro and I could walk very little with luggage then I took the intercity bus shuttle which is very close. Very close to the big park. I felt safe in the area in the evening as an old lady alone. Breakfast vas very good and a lot and good variety food, open buffet eat as much as you can. room is smallish but can't complain for this price. WiFi was good. No lift but for my old knees they gave me first floor. Staff are very kind and present. I will return in 2 weeks.

I didn't like the street cobble stones and hilly. again as an old lady with luggage not easy to walk. even though luggage was on wheels, it doesn't roll on cobble stone and up the hill. Lucky Turkish people are very kind. One man from another hotel carried my suitcase to help.

The Turkish buffet breakfast is amazing, and the receptionists are incredibly friendly. The breakfast corner is cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The room is exactly what you pay for, and I find it impressive for such an affordable price. It also includes both a heater and air conditioning, which adds to the comfort

The room was missing a light. When I asked about it, they said they had an issue with the lighting, but it didn’t really bother me. I was initially hesitant to book because of the negative feedback left by previous customers, but I have no regrets about staying here

I picked the hotel because of its location and very reasonable price, I had a train early in the morning and wanted to stay somewhere I could walk to the train station from. The hotel was perfect for the purpose, just a few minutes walk to Basmane gar. The room was basic, but had everything I needed for my short stay, and it was very clean. And I can't thank the hotel staff enough for their help and generosity - in the evening I got helpful advice about the neighbourhood I was in for the first time, and in the morning, because I was leaving, before the breakfast time, I asked to fill my travel mug with hot coffee so I could enjoy my breakfast with a view later on the train. Thanks for making me feel welcome!

We had an unexpected start to our trip as I broke my foot on the way from the airport. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing, helpful, kind, and professional. They took care of our luggage, called a taxi to get us to the hospital, and even followed up when we realised my passport had been left behind there. The breakfast had a great variety of treats, and even after we checked out, they stored all our (many!) bags and helped us into a taxi when we came to collect them. Exceptional service during a tough time. Thank you!

I am so glad that modest hotels still exist. I don't need the comfort of more expensive hotels. The bathroom and shower are basic but well functioning. This hotel has so cozy rooms, is in a quiet but very interesting location, and just a short walk from the train station from Istanbul, Ankara etc. and is two tram stops away from the happening centre.

Wifi is a bit weak in upper rooms, but still manageable.

The staff was very kind and helping. We arrived at 7 in the morning, and they did for us the free of charge check-in despite the fact that check-in from 12 pm. During the checkout, we got a small present. There is no elevator, but staff is helping.

A hotel needs some renovation. The room wasn't clean and the bathroom as well. The hotel is in the city center so don't expect the room to be quiet and you have to pay attention when you come back at night.

The location is pretty good and well-connected. The room was clean, and the air-conditioning worked well. The room was located on the 4th floor and had a nice view of the castle from the window. Overall, it's recommended if you are in Izmir for 2-3 days.

The bathroom didn't seem to have an exhaust, so it gets a bit uncomfortable after a shower. The stairs are a bit steep, and with luggage, it could be a bit of a problem.
