Location was very convenient, staff were kind and friendly and very polite. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and quality of food was excellent with good range of choices. Rooms were cleaned everyday, towels thick and lush, bidet in bathroom, large and comfortable beds with plenty of pillows and mosquito nets.

Everything was good and would have given it a higher rating until the last night when one of my colleagues had someone enter her room early hours of the morning (which was locked from the inside). Concerning that someone else had a key. She yelled at them and they left. Reported to manager who checked security camera but said it was not working (!)

The Villa Kololo is located in a beautiful small garden with a fantastic restaurant attached to it. It has a warm, welcoming style. Rooms are spacious though a bit dark. There is lots of wood, lovely furnishings, and the decor is charming. The staff at reception, housekeeping and the restaurant are kind and attentive. The breakfast is excellent. It's a very good base if working in central Kampala.

It is a bit pricey; I think prices could be adjusted for single travellers. Also, I think the policies around eco-tourism could be better implemented e.g. towels/linen do not need to be changed every day.

Pretty room and terrace, good shower, plenty of bottled water and hot drink facilities provided. The cleaning staff was friendly and attentive, and made sure some problems in the room were quickly fixed.

While some of the bar, front office and restaurant staff are polite and friendly, others were quite stand-offish and rude. The Indian front office lady who booked me into my room, for example, suddenly walked off and left me standing outside the room while the cleaning lady got my key - I had no idea if I could enter the room or not. The bar staff in the bar section of the restaurant are neither friendly nor helpful. If you send messages via booking.com to the front office, it's 50:50 whether you get a professional reply or not

Villa Kololo provides accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful space in the heart of Kampala. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of the great things about staying here is the wonderful restaurant called Mediterraneo located right next to the rooms and reception. This restaurant serves delicious Italian food of high quality and there are many options for vegetarians. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Kololo and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Kampala for either work or vacation.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. I arrived at 3am and was allowed to settle in with no admin. I sent a message ahead for a hair dryer and this was readily available in my room. Really appreciated that!

I would have liked a room with a balcony. I had requested for this. I ended up in a room inside, and although I was offered a room with a balcony the next day I was too busy and exhausted to move. The room I had was ok, and I was ultimately comfortable in it.

An adorable boutique hotel with lovely rooms. Decor is beautiful. Lots of antique pieces to be seen around the hotel. Staff are very friendly and tend to your every need immediately. There is a vibrant restaurant within the hotel premises which is great for dinner and socializing.

Rooms need some electrical maintenance. Few sockets did not work. We managed but it might affect others.

Very good breakfast (greatly improved from the last visit, to be honest ). Friendly staff, good location for a working visit to Kampala. Safe parking. Comfortable and spacious room. Very good room service. Secluded shady terrace. Good option to have the evening meal at Mediterraneo on site.

A bit noisy at night, but it was a Friday night ....

We arrived very early in the morning, and the staff kindly allowed us into our room early at no extra charge. Staff were very friendly, and the owner checked in on us regularly. Very comfortable accommodation, 4 poster bed, and all modern facilities. Great selection of Mediterranean food and a well-appointed bar. We were surrounded by beautiful gardens, a great place to relax and unwind. It was a little oasis in a bustling city. Highly recommend.

Staff whilst friendly were a little unattentive, and service was sometimes a little slow, but we were so relaxed, we didn't mind. Breakfast options were limited. Would have been nice to have some local Ugandan cuisine on the menu. Being in the centre of it all, it can be quite noisy at night.

Really enjoyed staying here. Room was more than adequate and people super friendly and helpful. Even preparing a 5am breakfast to take along in the car. The restaurant is first class as well

The atmosphere was outstanding especially in relation to their restaurante Mediterraneo which was warm, lively with a mix of different people enjoying themselves. Villa Kololo is a green oasis set in a villa shaded by old trees - a welcome contrast to the urban concrete jungle of Kampala.
