This is a typical American style hotel with many rooms in a large spacious and beautiful setup. Nice to see lots of families with kids and (grand) parents because of Chinese New Year. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, check-in was fast despite what is mentioned in other reviews. The breakfast and dinner buffet in Makan where amazing! Lots of choice, menu variation and good tastes. The table- and tapwater we found not so tastefull because of too much chloride (like in many countries) but the waterdispensors to fill our drinking bottles are an excellent service! We extended our stay with one night and while the first room was a bit stuffy/smelly the second one was perfect and comfortable.

There was one surprise we did not see coming (our fault): the non-alcohol policy in Putrajaya. We are no alcoholics but like a glass of beer or wine around dinner. We could buy a can of beer and drink it in our room but that would be a bit pathetic so we adapted to local customs and refrained from drinking. Good to have known this in advance though we would still have chosen this hotel. The lake surroundings where almost deserted, beautiful views and nice to walk but not much to do.

Splash pool is the main attraction for my kids. We spent most of the time at the splash pool and the kids room. The Careline staff keeps on checking if everything is ok or if we need any help from time to time.

The sink in the bathroom was too slow to drain, seems like there's some blockage. There was a lipstick stain on the pillow cover when we checked in and the housekeeping staff didn't changed the pillow cover even though we asked for housekeeping twice. They just turned the pillow upside down. Breakfast was average but beware if you choose to sit at the outside area. Too many crows waiting for the food on the table and some of them even come closer to the table when my kids was eating.

The customer service truly stood out, when my event dates changed, the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate my request to adjust my booking from the 5th to the 4th of August. Their flexibility and professionalism made a huge difference, and I’m very grateful for their assistance. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, as expected from a Hilton property. The lakeside views added a lovely touch to the stay.

The only minor setback was that some facilities and parking required walking between different buildings, which could be a bit inconvenient, especially in unfavorable weather. However, this didn’t significantly detract from the overall experience.

I always enjoy accomodation of Doubletree by Hilton. I was really looking forward to have a peaceful overnight after too much travelling. But my arrival turned into a disaster. I have never experienced a longer check-in at a five-star hotel in my life. After waiting for 15 minutes, I went outside to smoke a cigarette. There was an annoying guest at the reception who was still asking questions after another 15 minutes. The receptionist extended my check-in even further. Then I was ceremoniously offered a room upgrade, which was part of the booking anyway. So there was no special ceremony. 40 minutes check-in!!! The upgrade ended up being worse than my booked room (without a balcony). The room was beautiful, the place was amazing and peaceful. For families with children this place is a paradise. I always appreciate the great cookies they offer at DoubleTree hotels. Unfortunately, I almost missed dinner due to the lengthy check-in. But in the end I was offered a 50% compensation. I would love to come back and recommend the hotel. But my experience upon arrival was not the best.

Check-in was a disaster!!!

The architecture of this place gives us a good impression. The kids pool, game room and arcade centre was a good addition to our stay which enhanced our stay a bit more as we had young kids in tow. Breakfast speread was great. A lot of variety and the food were replenished often. Kids' utensils were also readily available. Hotel was at 100% capacity when we were there but the breakfast space did not feel crowded or chaotic.

The kids pool had some play items that we rusting and we could see some rust bits in the water. But they do manual cleaning of the pool every 12-1pm, which added to the dismay to the kids as well. While it has been a norm for hotels in Malaysia to start check-in at 4pm, one out of our 3 rooms booked was not ready when we checked in at 5pm. The arcade room had some machines that were out of order and/or unplayable. We had the king Deluxe rooms, the beds were OK but the pillows were too soft or lack of fluff.

Generally…..i like everything about the hotel…staff…food Their hospitalities were tip top…..keep it up….!!!10 stars for them….very friendly…helpful….even though their house keeper also was very kind hearted….i asked them to change the bed sheets n towels even after they already did in the morning n they did it once again…the bfast also have many choices and delicious…me and my husband liked their coffee very very much…n we asked for a paper cup to “tapau” the coffee to the room…

Tv channel is limited but they provide tv screen sharing to ur mobile device (android only)…so yeah we can watch netflix… Bathroom-abit smelly…i think it was from sewer….n need to be maintained

The whole experience was excellent! All staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. They attended to my request very fast. All staff were very polite and professional. We were able to access to the executive lounge for high tea with the staff's help, even though we almost could not make it in time. The room was fantastic especially the executive room. Room was spacious complete with bath tub and big sofa which can fit adult size to sleep. We was able to get baby crib which was very convinience. The splash pool is the highlight! My kids enjoyed all the pools during staycation. Since we visited on the last day of school holiday, the pool was not crowded. The breakfast spread also were faboulus. We really enjoyed all varities of food from different culture. Spend more than 1 hour there. Overall we were really satisfied with all services. Will definitely come again!

This is my first staycation with my husband and a baby. I would say it's a great experience ever😊 I got birthdays deco per request and also got a free room upgrade lakeside view! Thanks to all doubletree staffs Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Kids' facilities were excellent to me they got a big splash kid pool and playroom, too. Great location, we spend our evening taking e-bike stroll through the park from hotel. View were superb, can see the putrajaya bridge + picc from our room Breakfast is also delicious, and a lot of choices. Really enjoyed the cinnamon and pandan teh tarik! Already missed it! I'll repeat staying here whenever I want to staycation in putrajaya.

I took an executive room and was pleasantly surprised by a whole day entry to the lounge and pre-dinner meal that was provided..it was good 👍 besides, location is super strategic, next to putrajaya lakeside. Kids got to play with sand by the lake, in the kids pool, splash pool /water playground, bouncy trampoline - like play area and went on few rides on atv around the hotel.. super memorable and fun.. would definitely go there again! 😉

I didn't mind the short wait to be seated for breakfast. However there were limited bowls, cups and ice cream spoons for kids.. had to ask the staff repeatedly on both days of my stay.. maybe can pay bit more attention on that during the busy hours. Another small disappointment was no bath tub in the room

The Only bad experience we were having there was the check in process. Not smooth and we were waiting for a long time maybe around 30 mins to check into the hotel. At first the receptionist told me to wait in the lounge room until someone called us to check into the hotel without queueing to collect the key, feeling wonderful but it took so long until i asked one of the staff there and she helped me. Maybe it's not a problem for others but for me who has a little child and she is so excited to change and play water but it took for a long definitely, we got annoyed.
