The staff were professional and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities met all expectations for a convenient airport hotel stay. The shuttle service to the airport was timely and reliable, which made travel stress-free. The food excellent and was great chief.

However, the newly installed parking machine at the entrance was frustrating. It was not user-friendly, took several attempts to process payment, and held up other guests trying to enter and exit. For a hotel that otherwise runs smoothly, this was a noticeable hiccup in the guest experience.

We had a good stay. We chose this hotel because we arrived at Newark Airport quite late around midnight and got to the hotel around 1–2 AM. Initially, we were a bit hesitant due to some less-than-positive reviews, but thankfully, our experience turned out to be much better than expected. Before we even checked in, we contacted the property through Booking.com, and the response was prompt and helpful. Denise Daniel, the Front Office Manager, responded. Even though he was out of the office when I first messaged, he replied as soon as he returned. He guided us on how to use the airport shuttle, which was very convenient the shuttle arrived quickly, and the driver was helpful. The receptionist on duty when we arrived was quite helpful, even though at first glance she seemed a bit stern. She turned out to be friendly and efficient. I can’t recall her name but she was from the Philippines. She handled our check-in smoothly, explained the breakfast (starts at 6 AM). If it’s not included in your booking, you can pay for it separately. The floor we stayed on had a vending machine and an ice machine, which was convenient. We stayed for two nights, and everything went smoothly. The location is also decent it’s about a 10–20 minute Uber ride to Newark Penn Station. From there, you can take the train to the World Trade Center and explore NYC by walking.

Tbh, there were moments when I felt a bit uncomfortable. some staff looked us up and down without even a small smile. I understand that not everyone needs to be overly friendly, and I don’t expect special treatment. But a simple smile, especially when eye contact is made, wouldn’t hurt. it’s a basic gesture of respect and hospitality. As a guest, I believe it’s fair to expect a warm and welcoming attitude, especially from front desk staff who represent the first impression of the hotel. I say this sincerely, not to complain, but in the hope that it can be improved for future guests.

Rooms were amazing stood on the 8th floor one night the 11 th floor the next night and both rooms were amazing… big thanks to the breakfast staff and chef for the amazing breakfast and the kindness of each one of them and big thanks to the staff from the bar that made sure me and wife had anything we needed… view was amazing definitely would come back and stay at this hotel my wife already recommended it to a couple of her clients as she a nail tech.

One of the staff I can’t remember her name she was nice and took care of me and my wife well I just didn’t like the little side comments but other than that every other staff were great…

The staff were courteous, in particular the Shuttle Bus Driver from Egypt. He gave us all the information we could possibly need for a 24-hour stay in Newark, including how to get to the City and back from the Crown Plaza Hotel. The information offered has encouraged us to consider staying longer at Crown Plaza Hotel on future trips. The beds, pillows and linens were super comfortable. We didn't want to get up in the morning.

It was a little unclear about how to get to the Crown Plaza from Terminal A, but we figured it out in the end, once we call front desk reception. Perhaps some clearer instructions and a map in the booking confirmation would be nice.

It's a good business style hotel, ideal for the airport. They provide a free transfer service every half hour and it only takes around 10 minutes to get to the airport. We enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing time in the indoor pool. The only negative is the lack of restaurants nearby. We did walk to an old diner, which was fun.

The hotel was everything you’d expect from a Crowne Plaza in New York – clean, comfortable, bright, and well-maintained. We loved our room and had a great experience overall. But a special thank you goes to the shuttle driver who took us to the airport. We were running late for our flight, and he did everything possible (and more!) to get us to check-in on time. On top of that, he was clearly a genuinely kind person who truly cares about people and takes pride in representing the hotel

I liked everything about my stay. I love that this hotel offers free airport shuttle to and from the airport. The front desk lady Lindsey I believe that was her name she was incredible. She was there late at night when I arrived and she was there again in the morning. She seems like a very hard worker and she helped me to accommodate me because my flight did not leave until 6:00 p.m. and I had nowhere else to go so she was able to help me extend my stay for a very fair price.

I didn't like that I couldn't stay longer :-(

The front desk personnel were very professional and handled all of our needs including helping us with parking the next morning, late checkout, checking luggage, recommending a restaurant for lunch. Except for some wallpaper that was coming off the wall in the bedroom, the property was very well maintained and looked beautiful. We were very pleased and would definitely stay there again if we were flying out of EWR. We really appreciated the Keurig coffee in the room. Loved the bedding and the thick towels. Also liked the toiletries in the pump bottles in the bathroom. Staff members were very friendly even the housekeeper, Gary, who was vacuuming the hallways. Lobby was beautiful and very clean and modern - gave us a good feeling when we first entered the hotel..

We would have appreciated a restaurant that was open all day, rather than closed from breakfast til dinner except for a little cafe with limited choices.

We liked the ease of the shuttle pick up and drop off at the airport. The beds were comfortable and we were able to get a good nights sleep. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also good which we enjoyed very much.

The carpet smelled musty in the room so we turned the air conditioner down low to have a constant flow of air. The bathtub was old and had been painted but the paint was rubbing off which made the tub look dirty.

We loved thr airport shuttle and the location of the hotel to the airport. The staff was kind and very caring for us. The bathroom was nice and had really nice shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Another great option is that we had a day-long layover so we were able to store our luggage while we explored NYC.

I think the hotel could update the hotel as it seemed a bit dated compared to other options.
