The food is the clear standout with this resort. They had an amazing bbq buffet each night, where you can pick your own meat/seafood and it’s cooked in front of you and then brought to your table. The breakfast buffets were also amazing, with a massive selection that changes daily. The beach area is very big and they have different sections for kids/ families and all others. The day beds were our favourite. Very good beach club service by the staff. The rooms are excellent and the views are amazing.

One thing that was time consuming was having to pay for food/items using the room charge. I’m not sure if it was the system they were using, but anytime we tried to do this - it would take a very long time for them to process. Honestly though, if you pay as you go with cash or card, this wouldn’t be an issue at all. Also, important to note that Phu Quoc is a massive island. So, if you don’t intent to go to the amusement park, I would recommend others on Long beach- like the regent/novotel etc. Those hotels are much more central and give you more options.

It was far away from town. Close to Grand world, which has over 300 shops, restaurants, spas, etc. on the beach. Lots of greenery and it's clean. Breakfast was spectacular.. their coffee was amazing too.

A few things.. room 735 smelled moldy, musky the entire week we were there. I think it was sweat or feet smell in the couch, bed or carpet. They tried to fix it but it was still there. There are no kids activities besides some "kite on the beach". Everything is paid.. Vietnam hat painting.. paid! Kids playground.. paid! Even the pool floaties are $8 USD per hr. U gotta be kidding me. Also, the life guard at the beach didn't warn anyone about jellyfish and the people and our kids just kept getting stung 🤦🏻‍♂️. At least have a sign!

As an older person with poor knees, I especially appreciate the design efforts at making this hotel feel like home. All slippery surfaces were constructed with tile that had a rougher surface so that there was no fear of slipping when wet. From the shower to pool surroundings, safe to walk on. And there is a hand rail on all steps and steps down to the pool were a walking height so that it was easy for an older person with mobility issues. 50m lap pool plus freeform so it allowed 'swimmers' to use the facility for exercise! Fabulous! The breakfast was extravagant and exceeded expectations. I especially enjoyed the abundance of fresh, ripe fruit as well as the breads selection. There was food available for all international guests. Especially enjoyed the fact that international and custom coffee was available as part of the buffet! Service was above expectation. Kim, in the restaurant, greeted us on our first evening as if we were family. Terrific staff in Horizons! Also, the front desk was helpful as when we checked in, my son lost his passport and they immediately called lost and found in the airport and airline. Very helpful!

Main lobby bar area was unbearably hot. Such a lovely area with comfortable sitting however the lack of a/c or strong fans makes it an unlikely place to order a beverage and enjoy the view. I think you would create a revenue stream if there was a way to cool that area -- people would likely stop and have drinks and snacks when disembarking from their daily bus excursions or following dinner.

We stayed here as a family of 4, (2 small kids) for 1 week here with an all-inclusive plan (breakfast + dinner) first, I must say that We have done a lot of tropical island holidays, and this was one of the best. Hotel facilities are fantastic! very clean, new, a lot of space for kids and adults etc. Pool & beach are amazing! 2 restaurants are also great, I must mention the names of Daigo, (from IRD), Vivian & Rosie from Horizons restaurant. They were super welcoming and helpful with our kids, various needs, etc. Manager of Ambersands restaurant was also a great guy, talking to customers, asking for feedback etc. they all together made our stay a wonderful experience! After first day front office helped us to change our room for a better view, that was also great help! Location of Hotel is a bit isolated, need taxi/shuttle transportation for anything you need from outside, but not very important issue, we left hotel only once during 1 week :) Overall, we had a wonderful holiday with good memories, although we prefer different resorts each year, we may even consider go back to this one again. Definitely recommended.

Booking was done through booking.com. Check-in process was a bit frustrating, taking long time and a small surprise about kids' dinner was not being included in the plan. Booking.com did not mention anything about this, but Hotel said dinner covers only adults. we had to pay extra for the kid's dinner during our stay. I saw other surprising customers about same issue as well. I hope both booking.com and the hotel can take actions to make this clearer to customers.

The room was very nice, spacious and clean. Also the hotel provided shuttle to the Grand World with multiple timetables, which was convenient. The beach area was the nicest one so far in Phu Quoc, very clean and quiet. The breakfast was ok, but very less vegetarian options, mostly none, which was a bit disappointing I think the whole island is not open nor aware that not everyone eats only seafood or meat. Otherwise the hotel was the best resort, and we have been to others on the island. The only problem is the location, around you have very few restaurants options, only the Grand World which doesn’t have good restaurants, so the hotel should concentrate on their food menu

This is a really fantastic hotel, located in a nice and quiet part of Phu Quoc, away from the busy centre of the island. The resort is very nice, but not as big as others and so you always get a quick, friendly and personal service from the staff. Upon arriving at the hotel, a welcome drink was given by the staff which was very nice. The room was big, spacious, modern and very clean, and the same for the bathroom. The balcony was great, with very nice views overlooking the pool and the sea. The facilities in the hotel are great, with a games room, kids area, fitness centre, big pool area, 2 restaurants with a wide menu and good drinks, and also a private beach with security and clean sands and sea water. This is the perfect location to see the sunset, and would highly recommend speaking to the staff at the beach restaurant as they can arrange a tapas/drinks picnic to watch the sunset. The hotel also arranges a free shuttle bus to and from the airport, but if your flight times don't meet this, then you can get a free bus from the airport to a nearby report and then a very short caddy/taxi to the Crowne Plaza. The breakfast at this hotel is a big highlight, and there is such a wide variety of choices, and all the food is all very fresh and well prepared. The best part of this hotel though are the staff who are all so genuine, friendly and helpful, the hotel is lucky to have such great staff. I want to thank in particular Nhan, Gin, Ngoc (Jade), An (Tomato), An (Andy), Chi and Danish who went above to make the stay extra special. They would remember drink selections, foods and recommend things to do in Phu Quoc and on mainland Vietnam which was very helpful. Gin and Ngoc (Jade) even personally said goodbye upon check-out and provided complimentary refreshments for the journey to the airport which was a nice touch. The spa was also very nice and I highly recommend the massages. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our family enjoyed staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel so much! We had 6 nights there and It was an unbelievable experience of having fabulous holidays here. Everything was perfect, but we wanted to say some special words and share our emotions about very attentive and perfect work of the people in charge of the Horizon restaurant. Breakfasts and dinners were both high-standard and finger-licking delicious - the work of the staff and manager was completely what people are intended expect to get at the 5 star hotel. Special thanks to the manager Mr.Darry and chef Mr.Su. Thanks to waiters and people created positive and warm atmosphere every day: Mr.Darryl, Mr.Hoa, Mr. Hau and miss Vi. You are awesome , guys! We highly recommend everyone to book H/B variant of accommodation, as every dinner was amazing and unique. The Employees at Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay, an IHG Hotel make this hotel phenomenal! All the staff go above and beyond to assist and accommodate, from valet to check-in to cleaning, were delightful and eager to help! A special thank you to DAT KYO a true professional, exceeding expectations, demonstrating outstanding customer service and included his team with a fun photo of Tony and me. Lovely staff and qualified new facilities. I love the private beach and swimming pool. The gym was small but quite neat.

The location. There's nothing near the resort. If you need something, you should take a taxi for 40 minutes to visit downtown.

The design of the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is amazing, the pool is nice.

I got very frustrated because the staff does not understand a word of English which made the communication very difficult and exhausting. In a 5 stars hotel having staff with a good level of English is a minimum I expect. In the bedroom there is no Netflix. The drinks are very expensive and the difference between what they charge and the price disclosed is very obscure. In addition, the beach was disgusting. They only clean the part right in front of the hotel. They charge 1.300.000 for their shuttle to the airport which is very expensive.
