The location was ideal for us. The parking was available and although limited we didn't struggle at all. Only met staff twice, once on check in and the next when they dropped off a key card. The room was a really good size, sink, kettle, toaster and fridge all in the room rather than having to traipse to the bathroom for water.

Lots of steps to the room. The cost of putting in a lift wouldn't be worthwhile but having staff offer to help you in and out of the premises would have been good. The lack of a hot breakfast. The location of toilet and shower was a little odd, but made the most of available room and kept the room square. Some of the lightbulbs on the stairs didn't work and there was cracking in the walls there - attention to detail/maintenance would benefit the premium status of the venue.

Beautiful hotel, bar and restaurant. Matt couldn't do enough for you and was extremely lovely and personable, even though he was so busy! The rest of the staff were not quite the same - didn't really say 2 words when serving, didn't deliver a drink then charged us for it, were extremely slow. However, Matt's service made up for the other staff luckily. Room and food were beautiful! The jacuzzi in the room was such a added bonus. We didn't take into consideration the fact this hotel is in the centre of town and has the bar underneath. The music was quite loud and the people outside even louder. However, the fan provided acted as white noise all night and we were able to sleep through, thankfully.

The staff were nice and very helpful. The decor was tasteful and the room was bright. It seemed recently decorated. The bed was comfortable. Muesli at breakfast was home made and really delicious. It was hot weather during our stay and we were provided with a very good, quiet fan which was a bit of a life saver. It was a quiet street at night. Plenty of parking space not too far away. Wetherspoons just down the road. Not far from lots of touristy locations.

Breakfast in the room was tricky. Instant coffee was a bit disappointing. The breakfast bar couldn't be used because the tools are too high for the counter. As there was no other option, breakfast had to be eaten in bed. There was a leak in the plumbing so when we used the shower or sink a wet patch formed in the bedroom carpet. Could have done with a 'Mind the Step' sign when we first went in - there's two steps down into the room which I wasn't ready for.

Nice small, stylish hotel. Bedroom was a decent size and king-sized bed was very comfortable. Very clean throughout. Toiletries in bathroom, kettle, tea/coffee (including decaf, nice touch), a toaster if you want it too. All staff encountered were very friendly and accommodating. Great location too, right in the town centre. The hotel has free parking across the road which was a massive bonus for us (not sure how you'd find it though - we found it by chance when asking a passerby where the hotel car park was). It takes about 10 cars on a first come/first served basis. We decided not to have their continental breakfast and instead walked a block up the road to a fab cafe/restaurant called Diggles which did the most amazing cooked breakfast and was really good value.

A shelf in the shower cubicle would be more convenient than having to put your toiletries on the base of the shower. Other than that, nothing! It's a great place to stay! I think we struck gold staying here!

We had a great two night stay to attend a wedding. The manager was so attentive and helpful, he made sure we could get parked and was great when we came into the bar the next day with some of the wedding guests. The food was amazing in the bar, our party of 10 where really impressed, Room was well equipped with everything we would need and a perfect location for what we needed.

Our room was quite warm, however tbere was a fan which was great!

The room was amazing, very large and the bed was very comfortable. The Townhouse is based in the town centre so central to wine bars and restaurants. The bathroom was good sized and I loved the shower. The room was clean and tidy. Staff on site were very helpful and informative.

Breakfast is only pastries, jam, muesli, greek yoghurt and fresh orange. We stayed in the Dalton Room which was directly above the bar so lots of music. We were fine with that as we had two late nights, however something to bear in mind if you prefer an early night. For us ladies no area to put make up, we had a very large mirror on the wall but no desk for make up items.

Nice decor in room and bar. Loved that it had a area with fridge and plates utensils if you wanted to eat a takeaway and keep your drinks cool. Nice bar serving cocktails. Lots of shops, places to eat nearby

If you want your room serviced you have to hang a card on your door. We did not have a card in room and after 2 days of it not being serviced I had to chase up. It was not clear how to phone reception, no number or button on phone

Together with my partner and dog, we had a very nice stay at the Townhouse Boutique Hotel. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. There was a restaurant downstairs that served really good food. Although the location was very central, the room was very quiet, with no noise coming from outside.

We had nothing to complain about.

The room was so big and really tastefully decorated. It was very clean. Had a kitchenette with tea and coffee facilities. Went to the restaurant for dinner, the food was amazing large portions and so tasty. They had a separate gluten free menu. Great place for cocktails and loud music the DJ was very good. Although the room was directly above it wasn't too noisy. A great place in the centre of Barrow.

The place itself had a great bar, good staff, really nice food and the rooms were really nice. Comfy beds, spacious and clean.

Having never been to the town I found the location not so good with loud music and activity out on the street until day light. Great if your looking for a place central to pubs and clubs, not so great if you're up and out early in the morning, or if you're a light sleeper as the noise woke my partner up a few times.
