Evening meal was very nice but very very slow service. Over 2 hours for 3 courses. Chicken dish was hardly any chicken so poor value for money. All tasted and presented well.
Will definitely stay again. Only issue The room was far too hot even with fan and window open. This needs addressed or I’m sure will get complaints. The decor and refurbished rooms are beautiful. Id advise swapping the painted skirting in the en-suite for tiles. It gets soaked when in the shower and will quickly rot and need replaced. Did notice a few glasses and bottles around the front lawns in the morning after breakfast. A nice touch would be to have these cleared away before guests arrive for breakfast.

The food was lovely. The staff were very helpful. Public areas were beautifully decorated.
The menu was used for 2 nights and then changed. The service on certain sittings was not great. It depended on who was on duty. One night we waited 2 hours to finish dinner. One breakfast, the service was not good. There were marks on the carpet in the bedroom. The bathroom door had obviously got wet and the wood rotted and had only been painted over.

A hotel currently being renovated at time of writing. We weren’t told this before our stay, which is a little cheeky, but the quality of service from staff certainly made up for it. The decor of the rooms is very classy, considered and contemporary, so when the hotel is fully renovated I’m sure it’ll be stunning. We had a bit of noise and heat problems on our first night so we were upgraded to the penthouse! Shoutout to Bethany who went above and beyond to sort this. Food is very good and reasonable for hotel prices.
A bit noisy with renovation. Spa is a bit underwhelming, but these are small things considering quality of service and location.

We booked to stay for a night to meet old friends over Christmas. We got an upgrade on arrival to a larger room, with a fourposter bed. Had a great view over the front of the hotel towards Grange and the bay. This is a lovely historical hotel, located in the town where I grew up, with a pool and spa downstairs to enjoy and relax in.
The hot breakfast buffet was a bit limited. Staff were standing around, but not clearing the plates away. Shame they don't offer a silver service, or orders from the kitchen for the hot meals. Our bathroom was quite dated - we could not get the shower to run hot water, so had to run the bath to have a proper wash.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Grange Hotel and I must say it was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep, and the bathroom was luxurious. The hotel’s location was ideal, close to all the attractions yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat. I had the chance to dine at the on-site restaurant, and the food was exceptional—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The experience at the Spa was incredible, especially the Jacuzzi. Overall, my experience at The Grange Hotel was flawless. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing, luxurious getaway.

The room was amazing and very clean, I enjoyed having a bath and shower available. The promenade to the man made beach and surrounding areas around the hotel were lovely, the receptionist was so friendly, the kitchen staff and the people serving breakfast were lovely..🙂
No real vegetarian options available too expensive and one of the catering staff was a little rude when we asked if we could exit through the restaurant doors as a short cut from the corridor. The breakfast charges for an omelette on top of your paid breakfast which I think isn't fair ( Its £4 per person).

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The whole place is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Our room was newly renovated, very comfortable, and perfect for our two-night stay with my bunny. We were all extremely happy with the experience. The staff were friendly, kind, and always helpful. They really made us feel welcome and cared for every guest’s needs with genuine professionalism. All the other guests were polite and considerate, which made the atmosphere even more pleasant. The hotel facilities are excellent, with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring swimwear, so we couldn’t try them out this time. Breakfast had plenty of choices, including some made-to-order dishes. Dinner was impressive, with many options, big portions, and everything tasted great. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our stay. Everything—from the service to the food—exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely come back again at the same time next year! Highly recommended!

The hotel is very "Grand" and the location across from the station is excellant. There is ample parking in the hotel grounds. The newly refurbished rooms are clean and modern, many are different sizes. Some are front facing, ours were internal facing over an atrium. Despite there being ongoing building work, this could not be heard, and very discreet. Breakfasts are lovely and we found the staff attentive and helpful. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was also great. There is a small pool and spa facilities, which are relaxing after day trips out and about.
Small single room which had a lack of storage space (room 214). The sauna wan't working when we were there, but the pool, hot tub and steam room were available.

The proprietor had recently invested significantly in upgrading the rooms and the decor of the hotel. It had an old worldly charm, with high ceilings, chandeliers, plush carpets and sun filled rooms. The newly refurbished room we stayed in was large, had a warm, strong shower and generously sized bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable and the decor modern and nice. The front garden was a lovely area with lots of tables and chairs and umbrellas to moderate the sun, which filled the garden throughout the day. It was a lovely area to enjoy something from the bar or a coffee. Breakfast was plentiful , with a good range to choose from and the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful.
As with all period properties, the corridors are long and the stairs are many, but thankfully there is a lift available if you are elderly or infirm and staff will assist with accessible parking at the front of the hotel if required.
