We had a lovely room on the ground floor that was quite private and very peaceful. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable and the walk in shower was excellent. On the down side it was quite dark with only a small window that didn’t really have a view of any kind other than an outside wall. As many others have mentioned we were offered an upgrade to an upstairs room with a better view but at £50 extra per night we decided to stay put. Breakfast was excellent, just lacking an option of cereal and in keeping with most B&Bs you had to decide the day before what you wanted. The black pudding was top notch. Evening meal is not an option but with some many places to eat close by this isnt a problem. The hosts were first class; attentive but not over powering.

Outstanding room, very recent renovation and class throughout. Attention to detail throughout facility. Good parking on site.

The host met us when we arrived and was very welcoming and friendly. She offered advice about the area showed us around the room, including a few extra goodies that we probably would not have noticed that she not pointed them out. The room was immaculately clean, very quiet, the bed was amazingly comfortable and we got the best nights sleep we’ve had for several nights. The location was superb, the area around was totally charming inviting to walk around. Easy access to several different dining possibilities, and there was a Tesco express almost next-door. were very impressed and would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely gorgeous, attention to detail in every way, the room was stunning. We stayed in the Superior King room, it was a Special occasion, celebrating joint Birthdays and Wedding anniversary. Jackie and her husband Nigel are the owners, Jackie the absolute ‘ Hostess with the mostest’ , “ Special treats” are available to make your stay extra special. A chilled bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket with a single red rose, was waiting for us on arrival. Beautiful display of ‘ swan’ towels in the middle of a heart shape made of rose petals . The breakfast was absolutely delicious, using local produce and Nigel’s ‘ special’ breakfast was amazing with his homemade hollandaise sauce . We had ‘ Buck’s Fizz’ with breakfast to celebrate a BIG birthday of my husband . Nothing was too much trouble and I was able to organise ‘ treats ‘ by texting Jackie and my husband had no idea, how these treats just appeared. Ideally located, very peaceful to say property is set back on a main road. Car park just in front of property.

Nothing not to like.

The stay was outstanding from the initial walkthrough and in-depth information about the room and its amenities to the colourful decor, spacious rooms and delicious breakfast delivered to our door in the morning. I can't say enough good things about this place!

Exceptional from start to finish. Jackie was the perfect hostess, advised on placed to visit and local restaurants which were excellent. The room and the jacuzzi bath were amazing. Breakfast was delicious and plenty with a big variety. Nothing was too much trouble, Jackie even put our champagne in her fridge, when we asked for it she insisted on bringing it up herself, served on ice and beautifully presented. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.

Nothing it was perfect

Creative and very homely. Could not fault anything, home from home if not better. The bed was amazing, and the sauna just made the time we had there so so good. Everything in the hotel is more than what you would expect and that made it very special. Jackie was so friendly and helpful you couldn’t want for anything more. Nigel(although we didn’t see him haha) cooked us amazing breakfasts, thank you for that. Amazing area, very friendly people, so refreshing walking around. We look forward to coming back again.

Nothing we can

Fabulous hotel, photos do not do it justice. Immaculately presented, great extras, double spa bath, infra red sauna. Our hosts were brilliant. Good communications in advance with suggestions for meals, taxi numbers etc to allow us to plan. We were met in arrival and Jackie explained how everything worked, which was very helpful. Easy parking outside, good location for local amenities and the wonderful prom with views over Morecambe Bay. Quiet location and we felt safe walking our dogs late night and early morning. At last Grange over Sands has a hotel we love. Highly recommend.

The service - couldn't get a taxi so Nigel kindly gave us a lift to and from our dinner location! Breakfast was delivered to our suite in the morning! The food - The breakfast was very tasty (we can recommend both Nigel's signature dish and the full English) The room - the sauna and jacuzzi bath in our suite felt very luxurious. The bed was very big and extremely comfy. The decor was very unique!

The location - the town itself was a little boring, and the beach is completely covered in grass?? But the property is close enough to use as a base to get to Windermere or elsewhere in the Lake District if you have a car.

Fantastic location, beautiful building, perfect for a walk into Grange over sands and down the promenade. Room we had on the ground floor meant we could have breakfast in the room which was brilliant for a relaxing weekend !! Comfortable bed and bedding ! Really liked the slippers and dressing gown provided too !! Very welcoming and kind hosts. We did also get to see some of the other newer suites which looked fantastic with some beautiful features. So would highly recommend booking the suites.

In our room; The bathroom was a little tired in places and some of the furniture in the room too (but perhaps this is personal taste). It would be nice to also have a fridge for fresh milk rather than UHT milk for hot drinks and also the bigger bath sheets for towels (that is definitely personal but not a fan of the small body towels) :) FYI for anyone reading - we were made aware though that the room we were in will also be made into a suite in the future so will undergo big change.
