Good location, room was a good size, had things like a fridge and 2 comfy chairs, why some hotel's only put 1 chair when 2 people staying in don't get it ! Good selection of drinks on the tray , fresh milk in fridge and chilled water.

Decor was a bit crazy in styles and the mirror in the bath room i could only see the top of my head in it, I'm 5ft2in also the kettle and cups were in the wardrobe on a tray on a high shelf if your small its a bit difficult to get down if your small. The bathroom door gets a bit stuck so when I went to the loo in the night I woke my partner up with the noise it makes trying to yank it open.

I had a wonderful time staying at Jericho's (June 2023) for an extended weekend. The room (a "single room" in which the bed was still incredibly large and luxurious) was perfect for an individual stay, and the hotel is perfectly placed within Windemere as both a base to explore the village, but also in it's proximity to the bus stops which can take you to Ambleside and Grasmere in one direction, and down to Bowness (and the Lake Cruises) on the other end. Of particular note was the excellent food and service at breakfast each morning, with Hayley an exceptional host during my entire stay. This was my first visit to Windemere but certainly not my last, and Jericho's will now be my first port of call when I do visit again: couldn't recommend highly enough!

The room was lovely and well-presented, and although the building is older, good tower fans were provided to keep it comfortable. Steve and Hayley were fantastic hosts and even arranged a late check-in for us, which was a big help. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious – the fresh fruit salad was a lovely start, my husband’s sausage sandwich featured excellent quality sausages, and the salmon I had was absolutely melt-in-the-mouth.

The room did get quite warm due to the age of the building, and while the scrambled eggs at breakfast weren’t to my taste, there was still more than enough food to enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, reflecting great attention to detail. The service was excellent—they were warm and helpful, and they kindly stored our luggage free of charge both before check-in and after check-out, which made our trip much more convenient. Breakfast was another highlight: generous, varied, and delicious, with made-to-order dishes available. Everything we tried was excellent. Overall, the hotel offers outstanding value for money. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

This was the best guest houses we have ever stayed at, and the 5 star reviews are all justified. The owners Hayley and Steve were extremely friendly and very attentive. Our room and all of the facilities were spotlessly clean and serviced each day during our stay . The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and freshly made to order. We came to Windermere to celebrate my 50th birthday, which my husband had mentioned when booking . We found a card and a bottle of Prosecco in the room when we arrived, which was lovely. We believe we have discovered the gem of Windermere and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Perfectly located on a gorgeous and quiet street, with their own parking spaces. It's just one short block from all of the shops in Windermere, and a great hike to the lookout point for the views. Hop in your car for a short journey to the lake and more shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, quiet, and inviting for a night in with a glass of wine in the lobby. The breakfast was lovely too, and the staff were very friendly. Loved all of the details in the room and the property. If you're interested in less touristy food, it's only a 30 minute drive to Ambleside, which has some fantastic restaurants and less tourists.

I chose the cozy room, as I wanted to save a little money. If I had to do it again, I'd splurge for a larger room. The room was gorgeous, but a bit too cozy for 2 people. It'd be perfect for someone traveling solo!! We'll stay again, and book a larger room.

Me and my Partner stayed for two nights over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Received a text on the morning before we set off from Hayley and Steve to say our room was available for check in at 1 instead of 3 which worked great for us. We were then greeted upon arrival by Hayley, very friendly and informative about our stay, and welcomed us to their beautiful accommodation. We booked a double room which was beautiful along with the rest of the hotel. They have a lovely guest lounge area you can make use of throughout your stay if you wish. Breakfast selection was a good hot and cold selection, couldn't fault anything. Would definitely stay again.

The rooms are lovely, tastefully decorated with nice little touches such as a coffee machine, a wide array of hot drinks, a little fridge with fresh milk and water. The beds are very comfy with clean, crisp bedding, the towels are fluffy and the shower was powerful with special shower heads to make the water soft. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, first class service from the hosts, made to feel very welcome. Great location to discover Windermere with a short walk down to Bowness.

Beautiful outstanding property, exceeded our expectations. Bedroom although within the eaves of the property was still very spacious and well equipped. Amazing big shower and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. A really cosy room. Breakfast both mornings was fantastic, very quick service too. Loved the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon a real treat! We met Hayley and she was very friendly and extremely attentive. The whole property was beautifully decorated and we felt it was 5 star quality.
