Location was good. Plenty of parking. Beds were comfortable. The Bar was good for drinks. We did not eat in the hotel so can’t comment on that. We did not go into the main part of the hotel much as our room had a separate entrance. Overall it was comfortable and for just a base to sleep in was just what we needed.

It was run down and in need of some updating slightly. Bathroom taps falling apart, plugs not attached, marks round bath/sink. If it’s just a bed and somewhere to have a wash and you can look past these things then it’s ok.

Staff were lovely- went out of their way to help very helpful. The location was excellent

Wasn’t aware you had to pay for parking. Had stipulated mum couldn’t walk well booked because it had a lift, but ended up at the far end of the building and had to go up/down steps. Not ideal with a walker. Was not aware that coach parties took priority which meant you couldn’t book into the restaurant for an evening meal.

The hotel is perfectly located within very short walking distance into town, with a good and safe parking location off the road and fairly priced as well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room had everything that was required and spacious enough for two, with a working TV and a small functional bathroom. The staff were impeccably dressed, extremely helpful and very pleasant. We only had breakfast so I can only make a comment on that which I found very good. It was cooked perfectly with a wide choice to choose from. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will definitely stay here again.

My one and only minor criticism is the window didn’t open very wide and it was extremely hot weather the weekend we stayed. But that’s the one and only thing.

Great location, staff really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and we were all happy with room and hotel. We only stayed one night and for the price I couldn't complain about anything. Bus stops 2mins away to get to other parts of the lake district and we really enjoyed our stay.

No complaints with our stay

Room was clean, bed and bedding was very comfy and the shower and bathroom was in good working order. We also absolutely loved the breakfast lots of variety and a nice affordable price and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. For us this hotel was great it was affordable clean and comfy just what we needed as we were out walking most days as you do in the lakes. We will definitely be returning.

Only issue we found was there isn't a secure place to put your luggage if you arrive early or after checkout but we know this before hand as it was stated in the email but they informed us that the information centre had lockers for £10 9.00-4.30 which was great so not a massive issue.

Stayed in superior twin room, it was large, clean and comfortable. Lovely view from main window. Excellent shower, heated towel rail. Coffee machine in room - a nice surprise. Buffet breakfast was tasty and a wide variety of food on offer. Staff in the dining room were particularly attentive and friendly. I was slightly worried that I wouldn’t be able to park on site but there were several spaces remaining when we arrived to check in. Parking is £6 per night and you are given a ticket from reception on arrival to use with the ticket machine on your departure.

The duvets were quite thin and we got cold during the night. After booking via booking.com I was offered the opportunity to purchase extras so we preordered two packed lunches which we’d collect from reception. However, when we went to collect them, reception had no record. Apparently we needed to book them through reception but nowhere did it say this when we preordered so absolutely no point in preordering! Don’t bother filling it in if sent to you.

Big room, very clean, breakfast was fab , great location, nice staff, canny hotel bar and dog friendly.

Hotel was dated but still had black out curtains, all the facilities you’d expect from a hotel. Small Tv but didn’t bother us. Room was quite warm if you like a cool bedroom. Great value for money so if you’re not looking for a fancy pants hotel and just a room to chill , have a drink in the bar before bed and a good buffet breakfast then this is the hotel for you!

We visited over the Easter weekend, my son, my partner and our dog. Lovely room. Amazing staff definitely dog friendly. The staff met every need required. Food was lovely. The location was perfect, shops and restaurants within walking distance , plenty to see and visit in the lake district. Fully recommended the boat trip at bowness docks to Ambleside was a lovely town and plenty of walking places to visit throughout the district.

The water was not very hot In the bathroom. Overall this is the only fault within our stay.

First time at this hotel and it was clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and helpful. Room was almost perfect. Location was ideal. Breakfast was delicious. Would stay again

Couple of issues with the room but nothing that majorly affected our stay. The lighting could have been better in the room, I didn’t find the room was light enough. The bath panel wasn’t secure nor was one the curtains it had come off the rail. The shower on and off handle broke after we had a shower - I know this is wear and tear. The TV aerial kept breaking up and was difficult to watch tv at times.

On arrival the staff were polite, courteous and friendly. The room was fairly big and very clean and I could actually see the lake which was a pleasant bonus. The bar area looked very nice, though I didn’t use it because I wanted to get up early to go sightseeing. The breakfast we had before we left was very good. All in all a very enjoyable experience and I can’t wait to come back to see more of the lakes. The price you pay for what you get is exceptional.

I honestly don’t have any complaints it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel was great and the town of windermere was wonderful as was the walk down to the lake. The lake is spectacular but I didn’t go on one of the lake cruises and that’s why I have to come back.
