Spotless and well presented! I was surprised by how modern the bathroom was, it was huge and a pleasure to use. The shower was hot and stayed consistently hot for the length of my shower in the morning which took at least 15-20 mins. Shower gel and shampoo is provided. Towels were large and fluffy. Bedroom was so big and spacious i loved it. Pillows and duvet were fluffy, light and so comfortable. Bed was a soft mattress and dipped when sitting or lying on the very edge but i slept closer to the middle of the bed and it was fine, very comfortable (no feeling of coils) and i slept like a baby! Rang the host with the telephone number provided on booking.com and a very nice gentleman picked up immediately and was very helpful and told me to ring back if i needed help with anything else. As for the heating you can operate it with the built in lcd control panel, im glad to report that i had it on all night and up until the check out time it stayed on which was amazing in winter. Plenty of milk teas and coffee provided. Very good sized tv. There is a rail with hangers provided to hang up clothes. Its self check-in but you get all the info needed to enter the premises

Bring ear buds as there may be guests coming in late at night (my room was close to the main entrance). Some would prefer a harder mattress (as do i) but i slept very well and found it very comfortable to sleep on. Window was left a tiny bit open for fresh air which i closed as well as the blinds as room was on the ground floor. Big van partially obstructed the entrance during the night made it harder to spot the entrance at first glance. Touch keypad a little slow to respond to touch

Exactly what I needed, clean, comfortable, quiet, really well situated from the bus station it was late and I was so tired and it’s nice and close. The TV was a nice bonus

Would have loved a reception in case I needed help getting in with the code or I had any issues but I understand it’s not that kind of place. It is worth knowing that prior to arrival cause I wasn’t really aware and it wasn’t a big problem but it could have been since I had some issues with getting in using the code. Just a heads up for anyone staying :)

Fantastic location! Great correspondence from Station Lodge. Managed to get pre-paid parking bay which was a godsend. Very impressed with size of the room and quality of bed, pillows, bedding and amenities (kettle, hairdryer, toiletries). Bathroom had everything we needed. It was all clean and comfortable. Great to have access to the health club. My little boy and I visited and it was a lovely addition to our stay. Very happy with everything and would definitely recommend!

It was excellent value and very clean. The location near the station and main bus stop is perfect for public transport. The fitness centre is about 1 and a half miles away and few minutes away on a bus. The pool and spa area is very warm and really good. We intend to stay again.

One night, there was noise until 1am from a nearby room. The lodge is unmanned apart from when cleaner comes after check out, and I think this gives less incentive for some guests to behave.

No air as room got really warm in the evening, had to leave windows open to ventilate but heard the traffic. Could of had a small fridge to store milk and fizzy drinks. The single bed mattress was a bit thin not strong enough. The shower could have been a bit more powerful. Toilet seat needed tightening and need a toilet roll holder

Location is great..just at the top end of Windermere village. Ability to use free leisure facilities at town pool/sauna/steam a couple of miles away was great. Kettle and coffee sachets/tea bags in room were useful. Parking appears to be an issue in Windermere and we paid the extra 5pounds per day for parking on site.

When using e mail to reply to messages from the property (where they ask for the message to be inserted above the line), there was no reply which was a bit disconcerting. I had requested the door code to be e mailed or texted to my wife's phone instead of mine due to our roaming arrangement whilst in the UK but my e mails were either not received or not acted on. Shame. I used the same facility after our departure to ask if they had received my e mails...but again no reply. I should have asked when at the property but manager is seemingly responsible for a number of properties and therefore not always on site.

Location - right next to Windermere train station and the main bus terminal allowing you to explore the rest of lake District by bus, for those who do not have their own car. Several supermarkets close by along with plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants. It's about an hour or longer by bus to Keswick dependant on time of day and traffic. For those who like to hike, first buses leave at 6am. Price - travelled in May and price per night was a fair amount less compared to other properties which is a big plus, especially as I would be out almost all day so do not require all the extra amenities some people are asking for in reviews like a fridge or microwave? I think some travellers have some odd expectations considering what you pay. Room - absolutely fine. The bed was super comfy and 4 sets of different pillows. Adequate smart TV for those who want a bit of telly or netflix - hardly used it myself. Loads of storage if you want to unpack a big suitcase and have your clothes out. WiFi had excellent coverage and was fast. Shower is great, zero issues with water pressure or temperature some people are referring to. Easy to use the digital key system on the doors so you can come and go whenever. Phone numbers of people to contact are provided in case of issues.

The Lake District is filled with old buildings so take that into account. You can hear creaking when people are walking around or open/close doors. This cannot be avoided so if you do not want to be disturbed just buy some cheap earplugs. Personally I wasn't bothered at all with it as due to long hikes I was pretty much asleep in no time and normally up at 5/6am! You will always get inconsiderate guests, can't blame the owners for that.

The property is located in the town plenty off restaurants and bars. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was a few minutes away pay and display . The smart Yale lock was very convenient and easy to use no problem at all.

Parking was the only downside but no massive problem.

Perfect location for exploring the local area, and easy to find too. The room is a little basic, but does the job for an overnight stay with no frills, so I was not disappointed. Would happily stay again.

Room was a little clinical, feeling very much like somewhere to pop in and leave the next day rather than somewhere to stay and have a nice relaxing experience, but this was clear when I booked it so not a big problem.

Location was great, property a was clean . It was human-less stay so on interaction with host but worked well

My room was next to the front door so it was nosier then the other rooms as the door work me up a few times. Also the lights were really dull could do with the side light being bright so you can read etc
