Keyless entry using security codes was very clever. We stayed in Grasmere room (1x double, 1x single). The room was small but had gorgeously painted and contained everything we needed - comfy beds and pillows, TV, coffee and tea making facilities (with LOADS of milk!), a fridge and gorgeous plastic glasses made to look like crystal glassware. The toiletries in the room were a locally sourced luxury brand which was a lovely touch. The guesthouse is perfectly situated for all facilities in Windermere (less than 10 min walk from the station), near to bus stops and round the corner from the road to walk down to Bowness (about 20 mins walk).

Due to the size of the room my husband found it a struggle getting around the bed with it being so close to the tv on the wall. This is definitely not a deal breaker though! Also, absolutely not the hotel’s fault, but some of the other residents whilst we were there were quite noisy and as the house is old and small we could hear all the bangs in rooms/in the hallway and music played loudly.

The location is convenient, right in town, but yet at the quieter part of town. Room is compact. A bit tight for 3 adults but comfortable with drinks, snacks provided. Shower is hot with basic toiletries provided. Check in and out is super easy with electronic number codes. Though we did not see any service staff in person. They responded promptly via emails. A perfect place to have a weekend get away in lake district. Parking is easy, free parking on the street opposite the hotel. .

The room is compact, only good for hot shower and a good night sleep. Didn't get to use the off site facilities.

For the price we paid there is nothing bad I could say. Brilliant location, plenty of parking available. We received lots of information prior to arrival which was very useful. We stayed in room Coniston, it was very cosy and had lovely added touches such as hot drinks and biscuits, the mini fridge was brilliant for keeping our hiking lunches cold and edible for the next days. The TV was great with additional apps like Disney plus, Netflix. It was also lovely to have access to the spa and pool. We had a lovely stay here and will absolutely be staying here again.

The only thing I would say would be to have a bin in the room somewhere as we had to just collect our rubbish in a bag and take it with us because there was only a pedal bin in the bathroom.

Brilliant last minute trip away to The Lakes during half term. Found a deal for the Glen Wynne and what a bargain it was! Ideal location in the middle of Windermere. Cafes, restaurants, bars and shops all close by. We ventured into Bowness twice by foot at just over a mile. Free parking directly outside the guest house on the quiet road. The room was ready promptly for us and had everything we needed, iron, kettle, towels etc. Rooms were a good size and very clean! The team were excellent with communication, giving information and replying to messages. An added bonus was the free health spa a mile down the road with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. I would highly recommend staying here and I no doubt will be back again ☺️

We stayed here for the night as a treat for my partners birthday. Self check in was quick and easy with no hiccups. The guest house was perfectly placed with beautifully decorated rooms. I loved how close we were to the lake at a 5 minute drive or a roughly 30-minute walk. We received so much information from Nick and Grant prior to our arrival with ideas for days out and walks plus places to eat and drink. The addition of the health club is a great touch, and whilst my partner spent her time making use of the sauna and steam room, my 11 year old daughter and I hit the swimming pool. Overall, a great stay would be wholly recommended, and a big thanks to Nick and Grant for their recommendations.

Lovely property. Quiet. The room was very good. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Slept very well. Really clean. Shower was very good. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Ample storage for clothes. Location is great too as only 2 minutes walk to the centre with a variety of shops , bars and restaurants and only a short walk to the lake in Bowness or bus is around 5 mins. Bus stop is at the end of the street. Hosts were fantastic and friendly and texted me all information I needed and I felt very welcome. Easy, simple process for property access.

The location of this property was excellent. You are close to all the shops, bars and restaurants which is always a plus. We even walked to The Wolrd of Beatrix Potter, which only took about 20 mins, so it's not far if you want to take in Lake windermere. The bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage for clothing. There was a mini fridge in our room, which was a huge bonus. The room did get quite warm, but the window was fully functional, and they also provided a small tower fan, which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfy, the tv had all the apps you could want, and the towels were proper bath sheets, thick, soft, and actually fit around the slightly bigger body! The room was very clean, very modern, and just a lovely room to be in. We stayed in the Coniston room.

If you miss the chance to get parked on the street for free, it'll cost you to park the car at the Broad Street carpark. They do mention this, so I was expecting to have to pay, but thankfully, we got lucky. I do believe that in the height of the sunny holiday season, you may find it difficult to find a spot if you don't want to or can't walk far.

The property’s immaculately clean. It’s so cosy too☺️ It is so important for me to have a cosy place specially after a fullday of walking/hiking. I also had a comfortable sleep at night. The location is just perfect. It’s central, accesible to all shops, yet enough distance to be away from the bustle of the town. I tried the free gym and spa, it’s amazing! I really enjoyed my stay.😍 And I must say, I loved the toiletries.😅 i ended up buying one for myself in their shop in town😝 Thank you to the hosts for the lovely experience! Will definitely recommend and book again.

I liked everything! Just a recommendation, a trash bin in the room would be great apart from the one in the bathroom. Not a big deal though.. I’m just fussy I think😅

We booked very last minute due to a change in plans, was not disappointed with our choice. A Lovely cosy place to stay in a central location. Although hosts not on site they are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Reported a small issue and was sorted within the hour whilst we were out for the day, what excellent service! We had on street parking directly outside during our stay (may be due to the time of year - early March). Didn’t get chance to use the free health club due to our itinerary but really sounds like a great added extra. We loved the peaceful location whilst being a very short walk to a number of restaurants and amenities. We’ve stumbled across a gem and will definitely return on our next visit. Thank you Glen Wynn!
