The staff are absolutely superb - friendly, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Richard, the owner and chef provided meals of an excellent quality, so much so that we didn't want to go elsewhere to dine. We would like to praise Richard, Ed, Angela and Lesley to the hilt!
Our room was beautiful but a little chilly even with the radiator on. However, this didn't spoil our stay at all.

Room was lovely and the view was stunning, the room was spotless, loved the little extras in the room too (sherry and a bowl with essentials such as cotton pads, tweezers etc) ! Staff were lovely and helpful and the food !! Wow the food was delicious !! Local pub literally five minutes walk up the road too was really nice. Just a really ideal location for staying local and doing lots of walks or very close to coniston and lots of other places to explore too!
Nothing it was lovely

The property is located in a spectacular part of The Lake District. The views are beautiful. There are some amazing walks - for different capabilities - near by and for varying distances. The staff could not do enough for you - nothing was too much trouble. And definitely eat there … Richard and Steve are amazing chefs. We will be visiting time and again as it is a true find ✨🌸✨

Lovely property located in the Lake District and a convenient drive to Keswick and Ambleside. It was beautiful decorated for Christmas and gave warm cozy country house vibes. We were greeted with warm scones and tea by the fire. We stayed in the Mountain View room and we woke up to a beautiful scenery in the morning. Overall a good stay and the staff was lovely so highly recommended!
Breakfast was good and but could be improved to include more options for vegetarians. The English Breakfast didn’t have any hash browns or baked beans with it.

Charming traditional country house in a stunning location. Perfect place for a relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Food was superb, both Breakfast in the morning and the 2 evening meals we chose to have during our stay. Richard and the team were very welcoming and friendly, with great attention to detail. Will definitely be going back for another visit.
Nothing to complain about, not even the weather.

We liked getting tea and scones at arrival. We liked the breakfast. We liked the welcome that was received from all staff. We liked the quiet nature of the place.
We were in the green room and the people above us walked around their room a lot and the ceiling creaked a lot as they did so. My wife said they were walking about in the early hours of the morning as well. There's not much the owners can do about this but it did knock a couple of points off an excellent stay.

It was located in the most stunning and peaceful of places. And because it was small and intimate, we felt as though we were looked after really well. Richard and his staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. The food was delicious and we will definitely be going back.
We didn’t realise that we had booked the attic room, as we wanted a room with a bath. And as my husband is 6ft 4, it caused a few sore heads. Next time we’ll know better.

Where do I start? The ladies are wonderful and there for every need. Behind the scenes is the owner Mr Richard Lee, chef extraordinaire. Each night he conjured up some lovely food. The lounge is great with the real fire and an opportunity to chat to other guests, we made some friends this weekend. The room was great with amazing views. Highly recommended.
There is literally nothing not to like about Ees Wyke!

We were immediately welcomed and given a tour of the beautiful building, including the garden and the two lounges. Everywhere was kept toasty thanks to the fire places, and there were lots of books and board games available to pass the time. Our room was spacious, clean and kept supplied with lush hot chocolate, tea, etc. We had a fantastic view of the lake too. The staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. Had a lovely chat with Ed one day, then Angela the next! The food was fantastic, I would highly recommend grabbing at least one dinner there, and definitely go down for breakfast every day. Wonderful selection, and exceedingly tasty. Incredibly cooked by the owner and solo chef, Richard!
Nothing! The country roads are a bit trecherous at nights, and we came down on the tightest roads on the first night, but Emily was quick to recommend us the alternate, safer, route. Be careful on your GPS!

The room was great, with lovely views of the the lake and surrounding hills. The bed was very comfortable, the shower good, and the food very good. The hotel is in a beautiful location and ideally placed for exploring the southern half of the Lake District.
It is expensive for a Guest House with limited hours for serving breakfast and dinner, and no room service.
