The hotel is super pretty. I love the decor and setup even though the facilities were rather limited. Kudos to the night reception guy (my bad for not remembering his name) who is always friendly and helpful. He has a great attitude for this service industry. Definitely help to make our stay more positive.

A location is rather isolated and The stairs. No lift in the hotel and we had to lug our extremely heavy luggages up ourselves.

The reception and lounge area decor were lovely as was the check in experience! Our room was a ground floor accessible room which was perfect for our needs-as we did not want to haul our luggage up stairs(we overpacked). The homemade muesli for breakfast was so delicious! We talked about it for days. It was very picturesque outdoors as well. I'd definitely stay here again.

One server at breakfast had a bit of attitude when we changed our mind about a bread selection and politely asked for a new pot of coffee. The first pot didn't taste well. It was likely nothing to do with us and more of not wanting to be at work that day. But we weren't there long-and it took a little bit away from our experience.

Gorgeous decor and food, comfy beds, beautiful garden, friendly and attentive staff. Loved how peaceful and relaxing it was. Will definetly be back!

The walk to bowness was just a little bit too far in the evening to go for dinner but we found a local taxi who were excellent and it cost just £10 return. I asked the bar man at the hotel if he could make me a french martini that wasn't on the menu and he said he couldn't as it would mess up his stock ordering, I thought it would have been a nice touch if he could have made it, but I understood and chose something else.

Stunning areas to eat, drink, sit & relax. Bed & pillows comfy, great blackout curtains, warm & cosy. Stunning bar, eating & drinking area. Great staff. 🤩 Great cupboard of games & piano book stand.

The bedroom was very tired, some parts broken, chair arms manky, floor big lump missing, bathroom good but door stop smashed off, TV dated, only one biscuit left with tea/coffee. Needed a bedside lamp either side of the bed. Bed could have done with more exciting bedding & certainly to cover the base up …… or you could put a blanket box at the base to hide it. Needed painting outside.

Everything...... Hotel,, elegant, peaceful, quirky. Staff,,, couldn't of been any nicer, friendly, welcoming, helpful. Location,,, 20min walk along the harbour with a couple of short cuts making it easy to get to Bowness. Food,,, was delicious we went half board and it was very good value for money, full breakfast, selection of cereal, fresh fruit and juices.Evening meal 3 courses with perfect sized portions. On the Saturday evening there was a pioniest that was taking requests. Overall a relaxed weekend filled with beautiful scenery, delicious food in a quirky hotel with helpful staff.

I liked everything 😊

We had a lovely experience at this gorgeous hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to discover the connection between Lindeth Howe and Beatrix Potter, which allowed us to appreciate the history of the building even more. The whimsical details in the interior design were truly delightful. The ground floor sitting rooms and the dining room are beautifully designed and very inviting. The bedrooms we booked were wonderful, although they felt a bit dated. The garden is lovely and peaceful, and our little ones loved exploring it. We made a last-minute reservation, and the staff were very accommodating.

The hotel staff we interacted with seemed a bit tired of dealing with tourists and appeared somewhat stressed, which made us feel less welcome. The organisation of breakfast in the morning was time-consuming, and the menu lacked clarity. We had to place our breakfast orders with the waitstaff, and it took a while for our dishes to be ready each morning. Although there were options like yogurt, cereals, fruit, and granola available for us to enjoy in the meantime, we generally prefer to have sweet foods after our savory dishes, making the wait a bit frustrating.

Our stay at Lindeth Howe was very comfortable. The hotel has a wonderful unique style and the staff were friendly. It was my mum's 70th birthday and the staff decorated the room with the decorations we provided ahead of our arrival which was a lovely extra. We were also able to arrange some beautiful flowers directly through the hotel for an additional cost (see photos).

We booked the latest breakfast and it seemed like things were being packed away as we were eating which made us feel like we needed to finish quicker. We would have preferred a slightly earlier breakfast finish time with more a sense of being able to take our time.

We found Lindeth Howe to have a perfect combination of comfort, quality furnishings & stunning garden/views. Breakfasts were a real treat with a combination of buffet & waiter service. Management & general staff are warm & welcoming, yet discreet, & form the backbone of the hotel's success. This has resulted in repeat bookings from satisfied guests. We intend to be one of them! A solo guest wouldn't feel uncomfortable here. There is a Beatrix Potter theme, but with a modern twist, & isn't overdone. It mostly attracts couples, but there were 2 extended families, & a sprinkle of Japanese guests while we were there, which added to the atmosphere. Bedrooms are not huge but have high ceilings & very comfortable beds. The well carpeted corridors ensure a peaceful nights sleep.

Having to leave.

The room was spacious and very clean . As was the bathroom, which also had a bath as well as a shower, The location was a 15 min walk from Bowness centre, but the hotel was in well kept grounds in a lovely quiet area, The reception staff were very friendly and very helpful, making us feel very welcome, The breakfast couldn’t be faulted , probably one of the best we have had,

My only issue was the staff behind the bar, on our two visits to this great wee hotel , the bar staff were t very welcoming, didn’t really interact with guests, Being an ex barman I feel it’s good to smile and be talkative when serving,

The hotel is quintessentially beautiful. The decor was classic yet contemporary. The paper towels in the toilets / bathrooms were of noticeable excellent quality . The front of house , bar and wedding planner staff were excellent . The waitress / waiter service weren't quite as friendly but all seemed hard working and deserve recognition of that. We came for a wedding and the event was coordinated exceptionally well.

The rooms aren't cheap and really they should provide more than one small tube of conditioner , shower gel and shampoo between two people As there was only one of each. There were two of us in the room. The hotel should also provide a moisturiser as most quality hotels stock these . I will say it didn't affect our stay but it's extra points for creating a luxury experience . A little more choice for breakfast in terms of yoghurt / porridge at the breakfast bar ie seeds pastries.( I realise there are menu options )
