Very clean room. Average size meet out needs for a 2 night stay

The window was very small in our room. It was a hot night and we couldn't settle very well because we could not ventilate the room as we would have liked to. There was a little confusion as to where to leave the keys upon departure as the main building was locked. It would be good if the owners included departure details upon booking .

I liked the location and how it was your own little private room/apartment

I think there could have been more on offer, like tolietries, hair dryer, just little things like that, more towels there was only one large bath towel and two of us were staying. Luckily I brought my own toiletries but a hair dryer should be there. As there was two fans at the start of winter..?

The location was ideal, was clean and the rooms were fantastic! The decor of the property was high standard

The steps up to the rooms were really slippery when it was wet!, could have some grip on them! Also the waiting on staff and chef that was working in the pub, could have been more professional in there work and work environment!

beautiful room, nice bath, nice and warm room, beautifully decorated, lovely place staff friendly, pub next door do beautiful hearty meals, great starting place to stay if you drive and want to explore the Lake District, plenty of parking space. we will definately return.

everything was great, other guests that was in the room above us was very noisy late at night (drunk) but no fault of crofters lodge and it wouldn’t put me off returning as it will be different guests staying,

The food was lovely at the restaurant staff were very lovely and helpful, the room was absolutely amazing very clean and tidy couldn't fault it.

There was only one thing I didn't enjoy during my stay, myself and my partner were up until 2am with noisy guests next to us. Playing loud music till early hours in the morning and also shouting and slamming the doors. Every time we kept trying to fall asleep they would be very loud and noisy again. The walls are very very thin and you can hear absolutely everything in the room next door. That's the only thing I didn't like.

Crofters Lodge is a very nice place to stay, staff friendly and welcoming, our room was really clean and bed very comfortable, tea, coffee and milk readily available, good size bathroom, again spotless. Would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately there was a gas leak so there was no food being served so we had to go elsewhere for something to eat.

Very friendly staff and they were quite responsive. They were very welcoming and had spacious rooms. We would also recommend you to try industry kitchen for brunch or breakfast. Place itself has also nice classical pub to get a beer and enjoy your stay. Will definitely revisit!

The heating system created some noise in one of the room we were allocated but the staff did apologised and moved us to the another room next day. They were very responsive on that and took action immediately. So overall it was fine for us.

It was lovely and warm, really big beds which is a bonus, good sized rooms, you can grab food from the pub n take across if you don’t want to sit in

The property was great but the instructions on arrival (ie where to check in ect) were abit lacking so after wandering about confused we went into the pub as we didn’t realise at first that was where you are suppose to check in 🤦‍♀️

Exceptional get away! Could not recommend enough lodges are spectacular we stayed in the Albion room and it was absolutely fantastic the staff are extremely respectful and polite and so welcoming. Left them a little note to express our fantastic experience we have had will be 10000000% visiting again and bringing family and friends Thank you Crofters Lodge for your fantastic hospitality.

My husband is 80 and we were going to have a hard time getting our bags up the stairs to our 2nd floor room - instead we were given a ground floor accessible room which was very kind and helpful to us.

Most things were good, but we think we left a camera there and we phoned many times and they never answered the phone. We also wrote to 2 email addresses and we never got a response.
