The staff were very helpful,, Kieran especially,, and Nicky ,, nothing was to much trouble for them ,, the hotel is in a great location with beautiful views across Morecambe Bay ,, and in easy reach of the Lake District,, ,and also Lancaster and the castle ,, the hotel has a nice bar area and a pleasant lounge area and a patio area overlooking the sea ,, also a nice restaurant area as well ,

The house keeping team could do better with more attention made to tidying the rooms more often ,, washing the cups in the bedrooms and making up the beds ,, this is not a complaint ,, just our thoughts on better house keeping management

It's very easy to find and there was free on street parking. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the beds very comfy. Breakfast buffet plentiful - cooked, cereal and toast. Close enough to M6 to be a convenient overnight stay on my journey.

I couldn't find the hotel car park, but there was parking on the street. Parts of the hotel has squeaky floorboards and I was kept awake by the guests above me wandering about half the night. I mentioned it to the receptionist the next morning as I had booked to stay again the following week and she advised me to request a high floor. I did this and had no problem on my return visit.

The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. The receptionist was exceptional. The room was a good size with a bath and a shower. Great sea view. Good breakfast. Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed ourselves.

There didn't appear to be any room service. Although I do not require towels being changed everyday it would have been nice if the tea making facilities were replenished. We had to ask each day at reception for tea, coffee and milk. If this is normal practise either a note in the room or a poster in reception to explain the procedure would have been helpful. During breakfast the waitresses never cleared away the dishes as we finished with them, hence used dishes cluttering the table. Looking around the dining room it never happened with other guests either.

Some will say that the hotel could benefit from some upgrading, but at the price, that is no more than cosmetic and must be secondary to the overall experience. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our two small Spaniels were made very welcome, the location, with the shingle beach across the road also being an attraction. However, what made our experience exceptional were the staff, who would not have been out of place in a much more expensive hotel. Totally focussed on guest needs, friendliness and overall experience, they went out of their way to meet our needs, even when our plans changed at short notice, requiring a very early morning departure. We are now thinking of a few days break in Morecambe in the summer to again enjoy the welcome at the Strathmore and a few days of relaxation.

The parking at the rear of the hotel did not appear to have direct pedestrian access to the Hotel building. However as a blue badge holder we were quickly guided to a private parking space right at the front door. There is also plenty of on- street parking at the front of the Hotel.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Only met two of them as there appears to be only one staff member at a time, doing EVERYTHING (bar, reception, dealing with guests etc) so we commend them for being so brilliant. One left her shift, and another arrived for the night. They deserve a medal. Lovely views across the bay from our room, really spectacular actually. Room small but we had everything we needed. Brilliant shower. Comfortable bed. Very reasonable prices in the spacious bar.

We could be picky and mention a couple of things if we'd paid more than £55 for the night, with stunning views. So, none of it is relevant.

We greeted by Keiran he made us feel very welcome, he fussed our fury baby and gave him treats and it was absolutely lovely. All the staff were amazing and the hotel was freshly painted and carpeted. Breakfast was great for us fatties with big appetites. The location was good for us a small work to the town. We will definitely be going back.

Our room felt a little chilly the radiators weren't 🦵 kicking out much heat, I went to reception and the lady with the red hair and glasses came to the room to bleed the radiator and it didn't do much so she went and got us a portable radiator. So problem solved she was a lovely lady .

We had the sea view room at the front. We saw the sun set through the one window in the evening and the sun rising through the other window the following morning. The view across the bay to the Lake District is wonderful on a good, clear day. The promenade is fantastic. It is possible to walk or cycle for miles along this. There is plenty of off road parking along the street.

We had the breakfast this morning, but it was only average. Although, to be fair, it was very convenient to do this as we were able to leave for home in good time.

Three things that makes a good stay for me. Friendly staff - YES Clean - YES Comfortable - YES It's an older hotel & not exactly glamorous, but, the staff are friendly, it's warm clean and comfortable. The all you can eat breakfast was great! It's right on the beach, plus a bus stop, and dog friendly. Exactly what I wanted. I don't understand why people book a budget plage to stay and then mark it down low. If you want top class hotel, pay top dollar! More than happy with my stay. Had a lovely soak in bath & 9 hours sleep!
