I have reviewed this hotel before as excellent value for the money. It’s been renovated to a good standard. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I had a single room and it was a good size room and bed. This has been my third time of staying here. The breakfast was good for me. The dining area lovely and clean. As is all the hotel areas. The bar area is clean and comfortable. It has a lift to all floors and parking to the side of the hotel. The staff are helpful and polite. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. As I have stated I believe good value for the money

I couldn’t find fault with my hotel stay.

The hotel was exactly what you think of when you imagine a grand old seaside hotel! High ceilings, good wood, elaborately carved stair bannisters, wide staircase, sweeping views from high windows. It has obviously been well maintained recently, The room (Superior King) was large, with big windows overlooking the bay. It had a comfortable sofa and some chairs with a little coffee table, perfect for relaxing with a cuppa and a book or watching the TV. There was a fully stocked tea/coffee station (could have done with some hot chocolate sachets), which was refreshed daily as we were there for a long weekend. The bed was huge and the bedlinen comfortable and spotlessly clean. Whilst the bed was too firm for me, my husband slept like a baby. There was a spare duvet and pillows in the wardrobe. The bathroom, again, was spotlessly clean, with a good shower over the bath, a full-length bath-mat to stand on in the shower and safety rails. The hand-soap was nice but I wasn't keen on the body wash provided, not a problem if you prefer taking your own anyway. Our rate included the Continental breakfast, we paid £5.50 extra for my husband to have a cooked breakfast one morning. The food was about what you expect from a hotel breakfast, good choice of cereals, sachets of instant porridge, fruit, yoghurts, pastries, toast and tea/coffee. I was a little surprised not to to be able to have the portions of sunflower spread you can usually find at this sort of breakfast, only the butter pats, awkward for people such as myself who are lactose intolerant, but it wasn't a big issue as there were plenty of other options, and they did provide alternative milks. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his cooked breakfast, it was a nice sized portion and freshly cooked to order. They provided a good choice of teas and hot coffee, juices and hot chocolate. The staff were lovely and friendly, happy to answer queries and explain everything needed.

To be fair the only niggles I had were little ones, sunflower spread portions at the breakfast spread, maybe a couple of soya yoghurts along with the dairy ones, and some bananas to go with the apple and melon provided. A nicer body wash in the bathroom would be good, maybe think about a local business collaboration where they advertise a local supplier with details of how to buy the products to take home? And cut the foliage in the car-park as they have lost a couple of spaces to overgrowth.

My room (Single) was small but clean and had everything I needed. Plenty of wardrobe space and plugs for charging. A fully stocked tea/coffee station, hairdryer in the drawer and a fan in the wardrobe (which I did use as the room was very warm). A good shower in the bathroom, which was lovely and clean. The bed was too firm for my liking but I slept fine. I had a lovely view of the bay from my window, which was nice. I enjoyed my Continental breakfast, included in my rate. I had juice, fruit, yoghurt, granola and toast, finished off with a croissant (which they offered to warm up) with a lovely cup of tea.

It was a convenient stop over on our way home from Scotland. There was a carpark. It was dog- friendly, which is essential. It was clean . It had all the facilities that we needed. We had a costal view from our window. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The dog loved having a sausage for her breakfast. This was a very thoughtful touch. I preferred having a continental breakfast as I am not a big fan of cooked breakfasts. The selection of breakfast items was great. Cereal, porridge, fruit, yogurts, juice, toast, preserves and croissants. Thank you.

My husband said that the bed was a little too firm. I would have liked the option of proper coffee rather than instant coffee. However, these are niggles which do not detract from the overall enjoyable stay.

The room was clean and modern, good heavy blackout curtains on the windows and we had a side sea view. The hotel was quiet and perfectly adequate for our overnight stay, just a short walk into town along the promenade for Wetherspoons etc., but there was a chippy and pizza place very close if you didn't want to walk. The free car park was a bonus. Overall very good value for money, and included a continental breakfast. We had a pleasant stay and would stay here again.

Just a minor issue, the bed was a bit too firm - but overall there was nothing else I could fault.

My single room was perfect for my needs. Very clean and comfortable with a clean shower room. I stayed during Storm Amy and the room was slightly draughty (which is not surprising as it sounded like the window may come in during the night!) but once in bed I was toasty. A plug-in radiator was provided which was thoughtful, but not required. The room had an iron and ironing board, which is an unexpected extra. Love that the hotel has parking.

One tiny thing - I forgot my shower gel, but thought I would use what was provided, and there wasn't any.

The room layout with the tea & coffee near the toilet like it was 3 rooms in the one & having an iron & a board .

Small bath towels but it was a good few days & sunshine weekend was great that helps the trip as well . & I know u can't do anything about the weather but car park hotel. Only thing the advertising for breakfast included then u ask for a full breakfast is a not the best as you book up & see the price with breakfast & aye picked it with that in mind . So if the £22 was added to the price I might not have went with the prices close to the price but because of the breakfast included but not an full English isn't the best to be fare.

After having got to the hotel the back way, we wondered what on earth we were going to encounter. It was very dismal. However, we entered the hotel and it was so different to what we had expected. The staff were very friendly, our room was facing the sea and was beautiful. The continental breakfast was so good and the view from the dining room superb ,looked out to sea. Loved our stay and will definitely return.

The back way into the hotel was abysmal, the car park not very inviting. The young man who served breakfast needed a little more training on clearing tables quicker and replacing crockery and food before having to be asked. It is obvious that there are places in the hotel that still needs attention but the rooms that have been completed have been done to a very high standard and the hotel in the future will be one of the best in Morecambe.

Great location on the seafront. I stayed one week, with a sea view room which was excellent. Continental breakfast included, and although they don't officially serve it until 7:30, they let us come down early (7:15) so we could eat before work. There's a small bar and plenty of seating. Shower was ok and bathroom was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Free WiFi, although I didn't need it. Free car park right next to the hotel.

When I stayed again the following week, my room view was at the back, which looked out to back alleys that resembled a rubbish tip. No fault of the hotel though. The shower in this room was also pretty poor and cramped.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was there for a music event, my first time in Clarendon. I am in Morecambe 2 - 3 times a year, and this will be my hotel of choice now. Good shower. Solid comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Right on the water front in the middle of Morecambe, for me it was about 2 minutes from the venue. A short walk from the train station. There are take away food place right around the corner. The chip shop does amazing fish. There is a morrisons right next to the train station and an Aldi half way between hotel and station.

They didn't bring me breakfast in bed. Seriously though, for me it ticked all the boxes for my trip.
