Really cool decor and styling in the rooms - really nicely designed and felt luxurious. Excellent and well thought out/convenient touches - lighting control, electric velux blinds, shower controls - everything was really easy to use. Lovely big fluffy towels. Huge and super comfy bed. The staff we met were really warm and welcoming. We arrived during their busy Sunday lunch service (you check in via the restaurant and then get shown to your room) and they were very apologetic about us having to wait (we didn't have to wait long!).

Our room (the Williamson) only had skylight windows. As we were only staying for one night it didn't bother us, but had we been there longer I would've preferred a view. We didn't have breakfast as we had to be away quite early but it seemed quite pricey (£25 a head). I can't comment if was worth it since we didn't have it!

The suite was magnificent, there were home made flap jacks in a small glass dome with the coffee. I was meeting my daughter for dinner for her birthday and they left balloons in the room with a cake with a beautiful Happy Birthday message and a also made a fuss of us in the restaurant. The bath was delectable with sweets and salt scrub, dressing gown and slippers everything was carefully considered. I could not ask for more...

I would have liked a foot stool for watching TV as the chairs are very large and swallow you up but didn't quite hold my legs too. This would have been the icing on the cake as this has been my favourite stay in a hotel for a long time. It is my opinion that when you get a room like this, you use it, I came early, I watched TV, drank coffee and pampered myself before going downstairs for dinner.

EXCEPTIONAL…..travelling globally for a living, I’m often underwhelmed by many hotels; however, QSF is genuinely exceptional. The room was flawless, quite simply couldn’t be improved even with the most critical eyes. There’s many a five star hotel who don’t come close to attaining this level of detail, finish and a sheer determination to exceed. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Lancaster now, I’m already making plans to return with my wife so we can enjoy a longer stay. The restaurant was very good, not too many ‘none meat’ choices but that’s just my preference / observation. All of the staff I met throughout my stay were warm, engaging and went out of their way to ensure my experience was first class. QSF is simply one of the best places I’ve had the pleasure of visiting.

Genuinely, I couldn’t offer a single observational improvement.

I was shown to my room and shown how to use the technology and where to find everything. Having booked a table for dinner the service and varied menu was excellent. The food and wine recommendations were superb. The bed and bedding was super comfortable, this is always a high priority for me. Having wine and water glasses in the room is a simple but thoughtful touch, along with many other little extra's - slippers, sleep spray, jelly beans etc. I loved the way the room is decorated and furnished, it's been very well thought out with good quality lighting, plug sockets where they are needed and usb ports. It's probably one of the best rooms I've stayed in. Breakfast was lovely. I had the home made granola (delicious) with forest fruits and yogurt, followed by mushrooms on sourdough bread with crisply bacon and poached egg. The breakfast menu was varied with something to suit all tastes. Attention to detail: the same table was allocated for dinner and breakfast and was set specifically for me (I travelled alone) and I appreciated the detail.

It was all so lovely, with the exception of the tea at breakfast which wasn't great, this was probably because a teabag was used instead of loose tea in the teapot integral strainer, which meant it wasn't able to infuse properly.

Location excellent for Lancaster city centre & Meetings at the castle Free parking Food amazing .... breakfast amazing. I stayed on Wednesday and Thursday evening, which meant my stay coincided with "Steak Night" - lucky me. My room was very luxurious - and better than home, which is always a good indication. Coffee machine in the room, good TVs, with all mod cons (netflix/amazom/disney etc) Easy access via keypad at all times Can't find fault really. I went with work, but it would be amazing for a weekend away as a couple.

Not applicable - I liked everything.

The location was good and we were provided with a pass for the car park behind which was appreciated. The availability of parking was one of the reasons we booked this apartment. The apartment itself had everything we needed, and was beautifully presented. The window shutters worked brilliantly and kept the room nice and dark. The bed was comfortable and the water in the shower was warm.

Excellent stay! Beautiful room and an amazing meal in the restaurant on NYE. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly, polite and very helpful. Will most definitely be visiting again x

The tables were a little close to others, my husband had to keep moving for people to pass him. We didn’t mention it though, we were settled and I’m sure they would have moved us if they could.

Beautiful modern rooms

That breakfast needs to be preordered by 8 pm which is understandable….as an owner I would not have my cook come in early if I he/ she didn’t know if clients would show. Originally I said no as was supposed to go downtown for breakfast but due to Easter Monday….everything was closed so had to drive to different city to have breakfast.

The stay was made excellent by the very attentive staff and the helpfulness. We were seen to promptly and had everything offered to us to ensure we were comfortable and ready for our stay. At first i was a little surprised to access the hotel through the restaurant but it was no discomfort at all. There was parking available and no issues entering the hotel from car park. The breakfast due to the quality of the ingredients was amazing. The quality really surpassed my expectations and I felt so at ease. The decor of the venue was so high end and the rooms were complete luxury. The mattress was really comfortable along with the pillows. The room condiments and little add ons which were included in the room price were all there to make you feel like you were in a 7* location. I cannot fault this place. It was small and bijou and yes was a little expensive for Lancaster but plonk this restaurant and hotel anywhere and I would choose to stay here each time over and over.

There was really not much not to like. If I had to be pedantic it was probably not knowing how to access the hotel stay side of the venue. If there were better instructions this may help. BUT, the automated text message updates were great and helpful.

Unfortunately we didn't dine either for dinner nor breakfast but I have it on authorty that the food is exceptional. The place itself is situated in a fabulous location only 5 minutes walk into Lancaster itself. The room was amazing and the staff we did actually meet (once checked in you have your own entrance) were very friendly and helpful.
